A young mechanic (I'm 75 so to me he was young) arrived on time as scheduled. Justin took a few minutes to introduce himself and his assistant Ben followed by a few questions about our comfort level in the home, allergy concerns, utility expenses and items related to the system performance. He followed that with an explanation of the procedures they were going to perform on my system. As an engineer, I followed him around and he explained each step before, during and after completing them. He was thorough in the inspection and cleaning of the system. After completing them inspection and cleaning, he presented some recommendations to make my system more efficient. He was not a pushy salesperson and I appreciate that. His recommendations were detailed with an explanation of what each one would cost. I did not add any features at this time but may consider them in the future. I definitely will recommend Comfort Experts, and Justin, to my friends and family needing A/C service.

This is a review of Steve Car Handyman…read more My neighbor had some work done on his home, replacing trim around his house. Knowing that I needed similar service and I'm always open to supporting the local repair handymen, I asked Steve if he had time to do another trim job. He said yes and the next week I had a decent estimate and the job was on! I have a 2 story home and working at 20+ feet is not an easy task, but Steve handled it with distinction. He did such a good job I asked him if he did fence repair as well. He said yes and after giving me an estimate on paper, he was hired to do the job. I must add I had the person who did the last fence replacement give me a quote and he was $2K over what Steve quote me. I should also state the quote was for redwood and not treated pine, but I felt that if I sold the house in the coming years, the new owners would have the choice to do what they wanted in repairs and that treated pine would last a good deal longer and then there was the fact that storms when they do occur, could take down a new fence so I opted to go with a lower cost to replace. Steve started the job with his son, Robert, and because of the heat we knew that the time frame would be extended to prevent any kind of heat related work stoppage and it was a good decision to work half days. They were respectful of property and friendly and accommodating in start and finish times every day. I would add that I used this opportunity to do my own cleanup on a yard and shed repair that needed paint. Steve and Robert did amazing work which seemed to follow a pre-determined task flow that resulted in coordination. The treated pine looks great, it has an artists touch with specific trim and details not left out reducing likelihood of my asking for fixing little things. Steve and Robert finished and did a great job with exacting details and improvements over the fence being replaced. I have attached photos of their work. If I have more work to be done in the future, I am definitely going to call Steve first! I would highly reccomend Steve Carr to perform any home repair that he is qualified to perform, especially since he was price friendly and had great workmanship that could only come from repeated jobs successfuly completed.

I called Hobson Comfort Experts/AC Genius and got an appointment the next day! Their technician, Mike Robles, was personable, neat (pink booties for October breast awareness!!), and professional. The first thing he noticed was my thermostat was not installed properly and he immediately fixed it. He checked out the furnace unit, found the problem, did his "magic", and the BLOWER WORKED! He also changed my filter (which was filthy!) AND ordered me additional filters. All in all, Mike did an OUTSTANDING job. ALL of the technicians I've had from Hobson Comfort Experts/AC Genius have been great! Mike was Super Great!
