They don't stand behind what they sell (KitchenAid fridge 6 months old needs yet another repair), came damaged inside and out and their 3rd party delivery service (they say it's their own but it's a 3rd party I now have to deal with) damaged my door getting it in. He sold us a washer and dryer when we just bought our house and were 7 months pregnant and looking to save $ - they have great deals. Everything from delivery to the warranty were top notch. Had to have them out to fix it literally the day before the warrant expired. He came at 6:30 at night and basically rebuilt the engine of the dryer. In 30 minutes. He knows his machines! Would definitely recommend. Don't know why people buy new appliances for three times the price and then have to deal with a big corporation to get them repaired. STL city Local AND quality! John's has been at the same location, for as long as I can remember and has consistently offered quality used appliances. Since one isn't often in the market for larger appliances, I have only bought from him twice in the last 15 years or so, but with that said, the used dryer I bought from him 12 years ago, still works. You also, can't find a more reputable and nice guy - he's not going to gyp you or sell you some crap. At Christmas I called to see if he could send out a repair guy, but he said due to the age of my frig, that I would probably end up getting ripped off. He asked me the specifics of what was wrong, told me what part would potentially fix it, then told me where to go to by the part (Marcone Appliance Parts) and how easy it was to fix = $50 later my frig was working, and all because he's a nice guy. If you need an appliance or a repair, check out John's!

Or do we risk the pricing and timing of a local repair shop? For less than the price of a cheap mower Dunham Sales & Service fixed our mowers and did it with next day service. The last time I took in my lawnmower for a tuneup it came back with a loose wheel nut/bolt. The wheel fell off shortly after I was cutting my grass for the first time after picking it up. They also offered and charged me for a non-stick coating for my mower deck. On pick up, the deck was the exact same as when I took it in, with no coating. New generation of owners and repair staff. No longer a good place to take your lawnmower. Unfortunately, I must admit that I don't trust them anymore for quality or ethical work and will never recommend them. I STILL have not gotten all the replacement doors, despite them giving me dates twice for when they would come to my house, and it is July 2026. The top doors were finally replaced, but the bottom door was shipped damaged, the installer told me. I have since been given 2 different replacement dates, and TWICE they have not come. When I go inside the store to inquire, I feel as though I am being pushed off to someone else, and none of the employees know what's going on can get the job finished for me. They are always very busy eating at their desks. I will never shop at Appliance Discounters, and I have not had any accountability from the sales team. I was/am so disappointed with the Deer Creek store employees. There is no excuse for the lack of communication and effort to right a wrong that the delivery team caused.
