Cuts and Bolts Fabrics is easy to miss. If you look for it, it's before the bridge, and that's the best way to describe their location. I walked in, and they are a tiny shop but pack alot. I saw material I've never seen anywhere. They have the popular material companies, but their patterns are interesting. I like how they are innovative in their techniques. Their Row By Row pattern turned out cute. But the whole sop is not entirely about being cute. If I lived near Chillicothe, I would shop there all the time. This and Hamilton, and I would be set.

They make quilts other than t-shirt quilts, too. I know nothing about the quilting hobby/business but it sure looked like they had a lot of choices. The rest of the store is a menagerie of crafting and Hobby Lobby-ish things that will take hours to look through, but it's worth those hours. Her reasoning? She claimed we were "focused on her" and "trying to stay warm," which somehow made us suspicious. What made it worse was that she had been following us around the store, clearly watching our every move, which was uncomfortable and uncalled for. We weren't stealing, causing problems, or doing anything wrong--just existing in the store. Being threatened with police for absolutely no reason was embarrassing and unnecessary. Customers should not be treated like criminals for simply walking around and browsing. I won't be coming back after being treated this way.

The scanner beeped with every scanned item but the kiosk only charged us for the last item. We went back in and explained the issue to the employees and they called the manager. Each employee of the Michaels was perturbed that we would want to pay for the items we had walked out of the store with. The manager went as far as to lay her torso on the counter in exasperation from being bothered with the information. A male employee decided the solution was new printer paper to fix the problem. The third employee said that the kiosks often don't charge people for items they scan.
