Way-Morr Park's rental shelter is situated along the river and right next to a wonderful children's playground area, making it a popular choice for family reunions and other functions. Have visited here many times over the years and thought high time this little gem had its own Yelp presence. Besides a great kids playground, ample room and picnic tables for large celebrations (the reason I visited twice), including a massive outdoor grill, the same one I personally cooked over 250 hamburgers and probably 200 hot dogs for a family celebration once. Oy... new respect for people that do this for a living. That was a long afternoon. Nice bridges over the river, lots of woods to explore, several toilets (you wanted to know that didn't you?). Managed by the local Lion's Club as I understand it. Call ahead, reserve. Don't know the price but this is a fantastic place to have a large family gathering, exactly the kind that, uh, isn't happening right now. But it will some day! You can see a variety of animals like foxes, bears and elk. This small zoo has some picnic areas along with a cafe and gift shop. Best of all it is a free zoo. Afterwards, we walked along the lake and the beach. If you're in the Oshkosh area, this zoo is definitely a must see!!

There's a jungle gym with slides, bridges, mini rock wall and lots of places to climb. (Super neat: The jungle gym has a ramp so people with wheelchairs can access it.) There's a merry-go-round, musical instruments, a pretend pirate ship and lots more. The ground is that soft, rubberized material, and it's all around the playground. There are a few benches around the playground for parents and caregivers, but not a lot of shade. This park is 21 acres, and the playground is steps away from the Fox River and the De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Area. You could spend a lot of time here, between playing at the playground, walking along the trails of the riverwalk and peeping the wildlife living around this area.

When I went here as a kid, one could observe 1000's of waterbirds. Now there are dozens…read more None-the-less, this is still a nice place to spend some "wild" time. There are times, during migrations, that you can see dozens of species of birds. You can visit the Neustadter Nature Center for information on the marsh. There are also occasional nature programs there. You can rent canoes and life jackets at the center so you can paddle through the marsh. There are about 2400 acres to explore. In most years ospreys nest on the roof of the observation tower. You can see the nest's progression via the "Osprey cam". Spend some time at Pinecrest (also on hwy JJ), go a little farther west. Bring your binoculars and enjoy some fine birding and walking and canoeing. It's quiet and peaceful. I was out there this winter and saw a snowy owl and some short eared owls. In the spring the marsh is alive with waterfowl. After you wear yourself out at the marsh, drive west into Collins and treat yourself to excellent food at the Al Corso Restaurant. Pinecrest, the marsh, and Al Corso, the perfect trifecta for a wonderful day. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes.

This was my 4th time coming here to tube and my first time camping here. This was the most…read moreexpensive campsite I have ever stayed in and it was not worth the money. The campsites have no privacy and are on top of each other. The septic truck started servicing the area at 7am Saturday morning and was extremely loud. It sounded like a tornado warning alarm. They have a 2 night minimum for camping at about $60/night so our total trip cost was $137 after fees and such. It was so loud. The river tubing line got so backed up in went to the river and back around. They raised the price to tube down the river to $26/person + a cooler tube. I might come back for a day trip, but certainly wouldn't return to camp here, too expensive for the noise and lack of privacy. The campfire doesn't have a grate, our fire pit had batteries in it upon arrival, before starting a fire we thought we had taken all the batteries out, only to start our fire and experience one explode which was very scary.
