I initially went for chronic ankle and knee pain. Currently, I have 0 pain in my ankle as long as I continue to receive treatments. Maybe on a monthly basis right now. As far as my knee, there are other factors involved within my knee. But my pain has decreased drastically. I currently have an issue with a hip and some muscles attached to that. Hip, the doctor has just started working on my hip. My first treatment for one of those muscles was Tuesday, tenth of March 2026. I have not had the same level of pain in that area. Since the treatment I have built a good relationship with the doctor she's very knowledgeable, as I have said before, she's helping me to take a whole health approach to my issues outside of what acupuncture is helping me with. I do know that acupuncture can help with many different issues from the mind and body to the soul. I am very appreciative that the Department of Veterans Affairs allowed me to try this treatment. And I have continued on my own. As I have personal experience that the treatments are working. I encourage anyone with any kind of pain. Growing up with a fear of needles made acupuncture a last resort for pain management. However, with the prompting of close friends and loved ones, I did my research and decided upon Acupuncture and Herb. The physician was kind, reassuring, and patient. After only a handful of sessions, I have noticed significant improvements. Most notably, I have suffered from chronic migraines since adolescence. Diet, prescription medications, chiropractic care...very few have offered lasting relief. I went in one morning with a debilitating migraine (8-9/10 on the pain scale), left with a 1-2, and after a brief nap, woke without any lingering pain. No side effects. No more wasted days. Anyway, I swore she was a doctor. She gave me more information than every specialist I have seen in the past. Even diagnosed my left black foot and she may be right. Mind you this is all over the phone. I just called to get an appointment and said my story is complicated but since I'm trying to clear my good name I wanted an opportunity to do it with Dr Joseph as well. She proceeded to coax my entire health history out of me and honestly I'm searching the internet next to see if she may be right. What a wonderful gal and smart to say the least. I've been there before and honestly barely ever had a conversation with her. I just thought she was going through the daily grind. She should seriously consider doing something else to help people because she has a gift. I'll find out her name and add it at a later time. When I got to his office and parked. I got out of my vehicle to a bloody tampon in the parking lot. I walked past that and into the front door to outdated furniture in the lobby. When they finally found my paperwork and got me checked in I waited quite a while in the wiring room in extreme pain. When I finally got to talk to the Dr he was very dismissive and condescending.
