The park is positioned right next to the freeway and the on ramp. The noise was unbearable for me especially trying to sleep at night. The first night allowed me no sleep, because the freeway and on ramp is SOOOO loud. I wised up the second night and used ear plugs, and that was the only way I was able to get sleep. And forget about sitting outside under your Awning sipping on a cold one trying to have a conversation with your loved one. You will find yourself indoors soon. I don't know why they did not install a sound wall, it makes no sense. If you're looking for a more quiet campground with hookups, consider Valley of the Rogue state park. It's set back farther from the freeway, they have trees and a mound as a noise barrier, and it really makes a difference. But, besides the noise issue, Rockpoint is a really nice park. Just come prepared.

We only stayed one night since most sites do not have full hookups. We did not use the restrooms or showers, so I cannot comment on those. We were worried and a little on uncomfortable when we saw the giant Confederate Flag being flown by the first camper in the park. We are moving down the road to another RV park today.

The showers and restrooms were very clean and the bathroom always kept warm for hot showers. Thank you Amanda! Who was also great! When booking our spot Cathy was also super helpful and accomodatin g. And their store prices were very reasonable, unlike most campsite general stores and they had everything we needed. This place is by far oiur most favorite place to stay....a definite 5 star plus. Also, their cabins and yurts are so cute and homey! we are already booking for next month! Spacious well maintained sites, beautiful shade trees, kind staff, dog park, and clean. We are so grateful to the owners that they did not cave to pressure, they dropped their affiliation, and are keeping this campground as a beautiful destination to be cherished. It came back for a while but the next day it was out again. We have water onboard, but had to go get drinking water. Not a big deal as we had to go to the store anyway. The one problem, and I still don't really know if it was the park or what. Our power was crazy. We had never had that issue before. We didn't know if it was something electrical that went wrong. It happens. We could only use so many things at once. We got to a new park today and everything is fine. So not sure what happened if it was us or them. Do with that what you will.
