When I first moved to Auburn for school, I knew I would need to find my "go to" doctor for the next…read more4 years. After doing research and visiting Auburn Pediatric and Adult Medicine for the first time (in 2014), I knew this was my place! I had a wonderful experience. I called to schedule and appointment and the receptionist was very kind and helpful in scheduling an appointment. Upon my arrival, I waited for less than 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. The environment was very clean, very professional, and as cozy as a doctors office can be. My wait time in the waiting room has never been more than 10 minutes, and my wait time in my treatment room has never been more than 5 minutes. The nurses are always so friendly and make you feel comfortable with your visit whether it be with shots, blood drawn, flu tests, strep tests, etc. I have been seen by a few of the doctors in this practice and they have all been phenomenal. Upon my last visit last week, I was seen by Dr. Stackhouse. I had been sick for a few days and couldn't seem to get rid of it. Not only that, but I had been dealing with horrible sinus issues for approximately 2 years now. Not only did he take ample time to ask questions, he was genuinely concerned about how I was feeling and wanted me to feel better. It wasn't one of those "get you in and out as quick as you can" sort of visits. I only expected to be treated for whatever crud I had somehow caught, but he gave me many suggestions for my sinus issues and congestion as well. Mind you, I have seen so many ENT's, allergists, have even had surgery, and nothing has helped these issues. After only a few days of the meds and suggestions by Dr. Stackhouse, my sinuses are feeling better than they have in years and are actually clearing up!! I also wanted to add that Dr. Stackhouse's medical student/assistant (I can't remember what he name/specific title was) was awesome as well. He was so thorough as well and asked many questions - he even asked things I had completely forgotten about yet I had as a symptom/had been feeling for the past week. He made sure to get every detail so that he and Dr. Stackhouse could diagnose my illness appropriately and give me an effective treatment plan! I can't say enough good things about this practice. If every doctor visit I had was more like my experience here, all of my appointments would be a lot easier to go to!! I have been a patient here since 2014 and wouldn't go anywhere else! I recommend this place to everyone!!

I didn't have to change on a gown this "Doctor" didn't do a breast exam, pap-smear, no check for my reflex on the knees, or listen to my belly movements. They told me I will get a call for my mammogram (no call at all) after my frustration of waiting 2 weeks for a phone call or response (try them 3 times on the phone) from anyone; I drove to the clinic just to find out that I have to wait till Dec 30/19 for my Mammogram. I have not gotten any results (no call at all) after a month for lab test. How can a Clinic get your money like that, with such a horrible service?

In terms of seeing her solely for annual checkups I have no issues recommending her. Never had any…read moreproblems with making an appointment, getting in and out of her office is fairly quick. However, in terms of bedside manner due to having a hysterectomy I would suggest finding another doctor. Upon waking up from anesthesia she told me of other issues during surgery, which was quickly forgotten as I was JUST waking up and coming back to. I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia (not her fault) and wasn't able to keep food down. Thinking she'd give me something through my IV to help with that, she didn't. What she did was keep the dose the same for hours and made me suffer while not being able to keep any food in my system for almost an entire day. At discharge I was given a really strong pain reliever (oxycodone). 3 days after being discharged I had a terrible reaction to it, extremely severe migraines. So resting after a hysterectomy wasn't even possible because then I had to deal with my head splitting in half. She had me go to her office, I brought the bottle with me to show her I wasn't abusing it, to be told there was nothing she could do and take motrin. I ended up in the ER that night due to the pain and fear of not wanting to have to take the pain reliever and motrin not being enough to help me sleep. ER gave me something milder (hydrocodone) to take and told me to follow up with my doctor to get the remaining supply as it's a narcotic. I went back the next day, brought both bottles with me to hear the doctor tell me that she can't give me the narcotic that worked. What she could do was give me Tylenol 3 which would be 'good enough', they took the oxycodone while I was in the back and supposedly flushed it themselves, I don't know as they didn't do it in my presence. I went and filled that, couldn't sleep. Felt very caffeinated and awake. Following day I was back her office, at this point I couldn't even speak to a nurse over the phone and the receptionist couldn't get me in the office, "all she could do was take messages" so I just went there and demanded that I was seen. I was seen within 30 minutes, given the spiel again about how "the pain was in my head" and "I've filled so many prescriptions now that she'll get red flagged". Both of those things---not my problem. I had a surgery and not even a week after being discharged I'm left to feel that I'm both a drug addict and making up pain from my stomach being just cut into and organs removed. With all of the problems I've had over having a surgery I would definitely recommend going elsewhere as her sole interest is in revenue, not the patient.
