I honestly can't say anything negative. It's not a fine dining restaurant but I have experienced all of the negative reviews left. HOWEVER, the last 2 times I've been here for lunch my husband and I were pleased. Our waitress was helpful, kind and quick to get our needs. Our food was both hot and tasted fresh and was well prepared & cooked. The chips did taste oily but it wasn't unbearable and we were able to eat it either way. I think you should give it a lunch visit because lunch is always good. I'm not sure about dinner hour. read more

I ordered a draft beer. When the waiter brought my wife her tea,he brought me a glass of water because the bartender still had not poured my beer. This was at least 10 minutes. My wife go her quesadilla burger and it was under done. I did not get my chicken sandwich. I cancelled my beer when he brought my wife's order. This was another 15 minutes. The table behind us had asked for a manager because they had issues. Maher never came. I went to the hostess and said I need to talk to a manager and stood there. Finally saw the manager walk with a waitress in the corner. I followed them and asked if she was the manager. Told her that she has a dirty restaurant and what had transpired with the bad tasting food and only getting half our order. Told her that we should not have to pay. She said they were having computer issues and as long as we didn't have any alcohol that was fine. The waiter brought my sandwich in a container. They handed mean bag with our food and the receipt on it. I confirmed the meals and they agreed. Then we got home and realized we were a bag short. When we drove back to get it, they didn't apologize or even acknowledge the mistake. They just handed us the other bag like nothing happened. Meanwhile half my family was starving to death. When we walked in, most of the chairs in the bar area were in a way that you knew you were not to sit there. We were seated at a table. It was sticky. The waiter came over, Melvin, and asked us if we wanted a lemonade. I asked if the bar was open. He looked up at the bar and said yes. I asked for a margarita and my husband asked for a Big Wave beer. He left and came back telling my husband he doesn't think they have that but he'll ask the bartender. No bartender was at the bar. He came back 10 minutes later telling me they didn't have the ingredients for a margarita. By then, I just said, I'll have water. Since he didn't come with any beer, my husband also ordered a water. Melvin asked if we needed a few minutes to think about what to order and we said no....we had now been there for 15 minutes. We placed our order. A couple near us sat down. I heard Melvin say after they ordered, oh someone just ordered that same thing. No big deal. 10 more minutes go by.........all during this time, Melvin does not stop or ask or even look at us. He served another couple a couple of drinks. 35 minutes go by and the couple get their order. Mind you, we still have yet to be served our water. 10 more minutes go by........ we got up and left. This Applebees is run down and needs an upgrade/remodel. They also got rid of Happy Hour half off appetizers from 9am-midnight. All our food came out at different times. Wife ordered a margarita which she never did receive. We ordered the wonton tacos. They brought them to us with only chicken on them. They said they were out of coleslaw We asked to add lettuce instead since they were out of coleslaw. That never made it out to our table as well. Boneless wings however were good. The waiter seemed to be the only one working so I applaud him for keeping up the tables. It wasn't packed but being the only one taking care of multiple tables can become a lot. The food was so regular I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it tasted like something out of a bag that was already premade from the chicken to pasta sauce. At home I usually make homemade Alfredo and get it quite frequently from other restaurants and this was by far the worst I've tasted it taste just like the knorr pasta side Alfredo out of the bag. My children ordered the kids pizza and that was something that was probably put in the microwave and slapped on a plate and it tasted a little freezer burnt. I won't be returning anytime soon but as I said in the beginning the waiter did great but that food was not made with any love. The food and the service are average basically across the board. You know what you're getting when you go to Applebee's. Then this place happened to me. Stopped here on a work trip for lunch. As soon as you open the door, you are met with an odd smell. Almost like poorly cleaned mold. One of the hosts was wearing adidas workout clothes, had earphones in, and reeked of weed. After 5 minutes waitstaff passed by our table and spoke to the two people seated in the booth directly behind us. She didn't speak to us as she passed by or on her return to her post less than 6 feet from us. We decided to call back and the waiter argued that we substituted it. When we said no,, she changed her argument to that's what it looks like and applebees exaggerated the picture on their website. We took a chance to eat here in spite of the reviews posted here on Yelp. We have had very positive experiences in other Applebee's Grill and Bars so we felt it was worth the stop to get a yummy chicken salad. Unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. As mentioned in other reviews it took awhile for wait staff to come to our table or even speak to us. The restaurant was about 20% full and we saw 4 - 5 staff standing around. When someone finally came to wait on us he was aloof and seemed in a hurry. He took our order and went back to stand near the kitchen. After some time a couple sitting at a table nearby got up and began to leave. When approached by what looked like a manager they told them that they had been waiting too long for someone to wait on them. So the left. When we finally got our food we were relieved yet disappointed we had to wait so long for it. The salads were good as in other Applebee's restaurants we've visited but the experience was not worth the price. Something isn't working well at this location and I tend to interpret it as coming from a problem with management at all levels. We won't be back. read more

This is the worst Applebee's I have ever been to! The four of us arrived after driving all day from Florida...stood for 10 minutes before anyone noticed us. The girl that sat us said we couldn't have a booth because they were all dirty. The only waitress came over and said she was just trained the day before and then launched into a big story about her sick puppies and how she had been crying all day and then finally took our drink orders. She brought our drinks and took our order very slowly while writing like a 5 year old. We waited a long time and my Mom received her order of shrimp which didn't look anything like it usually does:( She was practically done eating when my sister received her Chinese chicken salad that she ordered with fried chicken but it arrived with a lightly cooked chicken breast on top..she told the waitress and she said "no, you ordered it that way and I can't take it back". I asked another waitress and she took it back and instead of a fresh salad my sister received the same salad with very little fried chicken on it. My husband and I finally received our orders and my bourbon street chicken and shrimp looked pretty disgusting with a side of instant lukewarm mashed potatoes...the chicken was coated in black stuff and the mushroom and onions were stringy and black. My husband ordered the Riblets and they were all fat, he also ordered onion rings and they were the only thing hot..the waitress handed them to me to pass to him and I almost burned myself before setting them down very quickly (she didn't warn me and she had a potholder underneath!) After this awful meal we got our ticket and it was near $80...there were several wrong things charged on the ticket and I tried explaining it to the waitress but she was clueless and left with our ticket...after a while a tall black man came to our table and kind of grunted and said "what?!?" It was actually rather scary...I found out later he was a manager. He disagreed with the overcharges I pointed out except for the Ceasar salad we did not order or receive that was tacked on as a side to my sisters chicken salad. We then waited and waited...we watched the manager guy doing other things and disappearing in the back for 15 min or more...I finally went and stood at the station he was at so I could pay...at this point I decided not to use my credit card as I felt like this place and the workers were not trustworthy and we just wanted out of there. After standing for another 10 minutes he said my total was $69 something...I handed him a 50 and a 20 and waited for my receipt. He said he couldn't give me one and he proceeded to crumple my original ticket and fold the cash tightly in his hand. It was clear he was keeping the cash. This was such a bad experience and I'm sure I could go on even though I have said so much already. But we were not the only ones getting bad service, we witnessed others waiting for long periods of time and asking about there checks being wrong, we also seen the people next to us not get the right food and they reordered it and it was still wrong.
