We came here on a Saturday night, they did have a few tables and the ambiance was nice. The hostess told us there was a bit of a wait, at first they said 5 mins, but it turned into 15 minutes, they were cutting people from the shift and they forgot about us, the hostess took our name down, but then deleted us from the list. When we finally got seated we waited another 10ish minutes, I had to ask the hostess if our server was gonna stop by because we had been waiting. The manager I believe finally came over and apologized since they again forgot about us, since they were changing shifts the server didn't even know we were there. A little frustrating. When we finally got served, our server was very nice and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner and we didn't have to wait that long. There was a special going on for 12.99 boneless wings so we try those, the first one you order comes with 8-10 pieces and the refills comes with 4 pieces so make sure you order right away if you don't wanna wait. I got the Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders, it was alright, I taste like it was water down and not that much flavor. I have tried this dish before at another location and it was good, kinda unfortunate it was not good this time around. We also got Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip, they were good, just like your average pretzels with some dip. Over all, the food was decent, and it was around a decent price. My husband and I love to support locally owned restaurants but from time to time dine at a chain restaurant. We know those employees live in our community and of course want to support them as well. What a disappointment our local Applebee's was!! The main reason was our server/bartender. She was just incredibly rude. I don't think she made eye contact with us once. She seemed too busy cleaning glasses and counting money. It was kind of odd. I felt rushed to order both our drink meal. She seemed put off that she had to "deal" with us. My salad came out incorrectly. (The manager brought it out and then sent it back. She was super nice. Not sure whose fault it was that it was the wrong salad.) We weren't given silverware, I asked for more dressing and she basically tossed it at me. The male bartender was super nice. He took my plate away but then my husband's sat there for quite a while. Would give zero stars if I could. It took very long for our food to come and just appetizers. We also thought that all appetizers were half off because it was not displayed very well. check number 9412-2072620 date 6-8-25 check printed at 4:45 PM we went in for the all you can eat shrimp chicken tenders and riblets I ordered the shrimp my girlfriend ordered the chicken 12 pieces of shrimp arrived when I finally got her to slow down when she came back by I ordered another refill of shrimp nothing arrived in about 15 or 20 minutes she came back by again asked if I wanted the water refilled i said yes and more shrimp please, my girlfriend ordered the riblets 12 or 15 minutes later six shrimp and more fries arrived and the riblets came looking like a piece of rib that we literally had to cut up. somebody pulled them out of the freezer I think and never broke them apart they were just one solid mass when my water arrived there was no straw so I had to wait to get the waitress and flag her down to get another straw The cup was so full of ice used in about three swallows and the water was all gone at this point after having spent an hour there we pretty much knew how this was gonna work I got 18 shrimp and she got ribs that we had to cut apart so she could eat them had the bill delivered paid it and when it came back it was a merchant duplicate copy which does not have a QR code to do a survey or the numbers to fill out the survey neither of us were very happy with the way this went and while I'm complaining about things a couple years ago you got rid of the double crunch wings and started replacing them with regular wings they don't taste as good it's unfortunate I used to like them as an appetizer it was real obvious that things were being dragged out as much as they possibly could and getting a dozen shrimp the first time and 6 the second was just insult to injury the other order refill never did arrive also I don't know what the cocktail sauce is it's a mixture hot sauce and ketchup I think normal cocktail sauce is horseradish and ketchup I asked if there was any horseradish and I was told none was available ever come back in I'll bring my own it's a shame things are going in the wrong direction for the chain I've been in Applebees all up and down the East Coast and has been a pretty steady decline still sorry I couldn't do the survey we left hungry Sent from Proton Mail for iOS read more

Hostess Brynn was very nice and personable, our waitress Kellie however left much to be desired. She must have forgotten to send in our order as we waited 45 minutes and all tables around us who ordered after we did got their food way before us. She then avoided our table and didn't come back once to apologize for the wait or anything, instead the (I'm assuming) manager took over our table. Again no apologies about the wait or mistake. Food came out and one order was made incorrectly, and the noted allergy was ignored entirely. Once we got the correct food, it was very salty and inedible. I usually love Applebees but the only enjoyable things about this experience were the hostess, appetizers and drinks. Wait staff (Kellie) should be held accountable for mistakes and at the least apologize. We would've understood if they had talked to us but to avoid us completely is unprofessional. read more

We were surprised how easily we got in on a Friday night. I think there were a lot of Door Dash orders going out though. I prefer to eat my food fresh off the grill and in person. We've had the same waiter a couple times now, and he's always friendly and fast with service. I had the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp. It had the same flavors that the BS steak that I usually have does. Very tasty. My wife got the salmon. We started with their new entree, the Crispy Cheddar Cheese Bites. We decided to order the Dollarita, The classic combo (as a meal), and the Quesadilla Burger. I'd love to tell you how the food taste but after an hour we still didn't get served and a table of 2 right next to us who came in 30 mins after us received all of their food, when we asked the server she said half of our food was ready did we want that. Nope give me the check! The Dollarita's were a straight up sugar drink, it tasted nothing like a margarita. Granted they were a $1 but they were not good whatsoever. Dropped by here for lunch with my coworker. We are in the area for the week on a work trip. We had Heidi as our wait staff. We waited for a small bit for her to come tonour table. She was very friendly and seemed nice but she didn't visit our table very much. He got a coke and salad with shrimp added. I got a mango lemonade and a bacon chicken burger. We liked the food and it was tasty. I really enjoyed the lemonade. The reason for only 3 stars is she took our order, brought us drinks, brought us food and brought us the check. No stop by to refresh our empty glasses, no stop by to see if food was ok, no thank you for coming. I live in Canada and I've heard some of my friends that went to other Applebee's restaurants complain about the food. Therefore, I was kind of hesitant when I went here to eat but I can ensure you that the food at this Applebee's is incredibly delicious!! I ordered a Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. Both the chicken and the shrimp were so succulent and nicely done. I'm hardly impressed and quite picky with mashed potatoes, but the mashed potatoes here were amazing!! Some of the staff were... well, not so friendly (like the lady who set us up at the table), but the lady who took our order was so nice and kind!! Overall, a nice place to go out to eat!! read more

This was our first endeavor at ordering from Applebee's in Watertown New York in quite a long time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ordered through a food delivery service. First, let me say that this is definitely not a complaint about the driver who brought our food. She was wonderful and picked up the food on time and delivered it on time. We watched the delivery on our cell phone and knew that she was on time. Now, let me tell you about the stone cold food we received from Applebee's!! I have never known French onion soup to be stone cold, with the cheese congealing to the top of the dish. We had to warm it up in our microwave for two minutes to get it edible. Next, to the appetizer - - it's very difficult to reheat fried mozzarella sticks and have them have any sense of crispness once microwaved. The salads were so warm that once you added the warm ranch dressing to it, you could've had a warm chopped salad.. that was the condition we got our salads in. Once again, not very appetizing! Now, to the main dishes. I ordered a half rack of ribs, macaroni and cheese, and garlic green beans. Besides being Stone cold and having to have a microwave treatment, they were OK. I'm sure they would've been better had we had them hot to begin with. My husband's bourbon steak was ordered medium, and once microwaved it was well done. The garlic mashed potatoes look like a plop of something inedible!. Hard concrete maybe? We've ordered desserts which quite honestly we are afraid to look at right now. They too are warm. I called the Applebee's restaurant in Watertown and spoke with the manager. We simply called to express our displeasure and expected nothing more. I certainly don't want to see this happen to anyone else. He was very nice and did his best to make it right which was totally unexpected! In our opinion he went above and beyond the customer service standard that obviously other people in that restaurant forgot how to do. He actually was as upset as we were once he found out what happened. I'm not sure we will order from Applebee's again, but we may give them one more try. We also told our serve we would see if we wanted to order something else (we just shared an appetizer). As soon as we finished our appetizer, our server came over and submit our check on the electronic table system, and said "whenever you're ready". The check was there and she rushed us through. I was headed up to Canada with my father this week, and he suggested we make this our half-way stop. He'd said he'd been here before a number of times and it was satisfactory. I'm not sure how long ago that was, or what has happened to my father's standards... We pulled in just before 11am, and had to wait outside a few minutes. No big deal. After the doors are opened, I beeline it for the rest room. It was clean enough which is a HUGE deal on road trips. It also helps being the first one in the place too. I ordered the Chicken fajita roll up, and dad had the fried green tomato turkey sandwich. It was all just "ok." Nothing special about any of the food. My dad's coffee came in a to-go cup since the mug washer apparently was broken. It was terrible tasting regardless of the cup it was in. The booth we had wasn't clean. I saw crumbs on the windowsill (which I don't understand anyways), and there were streaks on the windows. I grabbed a sugar packet and it had caked on food from who-knows-when on it. ICK! The music in the place was terrible 90's junk. I don't know a single person who enjoys listening to "jenny from the block" while eating their lunch. And it was loud too with so few patrons in the place at 11am. I generally dislike chains, and Applebee's has long been on my personal "NO GO" list. Prices don't match the quality of food. Server was very friendly. The food came out quickly. I ordered the Honey pepper tenders with four cheese mac and cheese. The tenders were good, but could have been a bit bigger. The Mac and cheese was gross. I couldn't eat it. It was bland and almost no cheese. It tasted like a plain, bland Alfredo sauce. I was a LONG TIME FAN of Applebee's. All of that came to a halt after tonight. We literally waited 15 before a server came to my table. 15 minutes! The only reason we stayed that long was because I wanted to see how long it would take them. Then our server got to the table with an attitude. Hostess and waitress were standoffish and not that friendly. Our appetizers came out quick but our alcohol took quit a long time to get to us. Husband got a beer and I got the Bahama mama which I think had little to no alcohol in it, husband confirmed he tasted nothing but juice. (I do mixology, I know how a Bahama mama is supposed to taste). The fries were cold and dehydrated looking like they were very old. the ribs were bland and gritty. It was a typical Applebee's experience. There apparently aren't that many independent restaurants in Watertown to eat at, so we chose Applebee's. The six of us all split the 2 for $25 menu items. The food was actually pretty good - I had a shrimp and chicken sizzler, and a ceasar salad. My sister had a mac and cheese dish and a ceasar salad. I had a margarita and it wasn't watered down. I felt generally satisfied after eating here. The waitress was friendly. The manager stopped by our table just to check on us, and since we were all happy he just chit-chatted. Last night was the first night I had the perfect meal experience at the Applebee's in Watertown. I sat at the bar and had instant service from the blonde, female bartender. I ordered an IPA beer from the tap which was delicious. My All-Day Brunch Burger was cooked just right which was a shocker because the last time I was there it was not cooked to how I like it. The bartender was on point with refilling my glass and clearing my area from food/garbage. I don't know if it was just my server or if they got new management, but I hope it stays like that for my future times of visiting Applebee's. read more

This review is just for the appetizers since we didn't order any entrees. The food wasn't, I'd say it's about average to other Applebee's I've been to in the past. The won ton tacos were really really good, but the rest of the appetizers were hot or miss. The service was about average. I'd definitely recommend this place for a late dinner since they close at midnight during most of the week. Also a decent place to catch the game since they have several TVs positioned around the bar area. read more
