Picked up carry out curbside to go. After waiting 15 minutes past the time noted on my email confirmation, I went inside to get the order. There were flies everywhere, which should have been the first red flag. The food was cold and over salted. Not the Applebee's that I came to know and love in the past. ZERO STARS. forgot an appetizer brought a meal out as an appetizer our second actual appetizer was never put in. waited 20 minutes for a bar drink that was watered down and the girl who brought the drink said "it's watered down do you want this or a fresh one". finally got our food asked for sauces never got them until we had our last fry. asked for refills got them 15 minutes later. we are sitting waiting again for the other plate of endless wings will we get them who knows. We have two servers and one is training they have not been checking on us only started when we complained. They tell other tables they are understaffed but filled up their own section and that if a drink is sitting at the bar someone else will bring it. yesss that's why ours was watered down. sympathy and clear glasses girl were the waitress if your sat with them go somewhere else. read more

Went for early dinner with coworkers. Had the bourbon street steak, medium cook. It was cooked to medium but the texture leads me to believe it was frozen then defrosted. The fries were just above warm. I also had the house salad. The salad had a lot of brown edges. With tax and tip $25. Would I go back, no. The waitress was friendly and mostly attentive but because it was not too busy, most of the staff, including our waitress, were sitting around on their phones. Do I recommend? Restaurant was hot and unappealing. The front door's window is cracked (should have been the first clue). Was seated quickly but waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. When we got our drinks, they were already watered down. We ordered our appetizer and meals. Waited another 20 mins for our appetizer. Usually either the food comes out about 10 mins after the appetizer but no, we waited almost an hour. The waitress, who was nice, didn't check on us other than to tell us they had to make more tea and the kitchen was behind. The restaurant wasn't that busy so I'm not sure why it was behind. When she brought my husband another tea, she didn't bring me or my daughter another drink. Guests around us had to ask for silverware and the waitress told them she had to give them plasticware. Once we finally got our food and it was subpar. The steak was chewy and stringy and garlicky potatoes and green beans weren't garlicky at all. None of us could finish our food. Def not worth the $115 for 3 people. read more

This was our first time here and we weren't impressed. The food was okay but nothing special. It's been a while since I've been to an Applebees and I was hoping it would be as good as I remembered but it wasn't. We ordered the Classic Combo appetizer. It comes with Boneless wings in the flavor of your choice, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Chicken Quesadilla, and Mozzarella Sticks. The wings were very dry, the quesadilla barely had anything inside and the mozzarella sticks were very gummy. The only part that was decent was the spinach artichoke dip and chips. Our sons got the kids pizza and it was extremely greasy. My sister ordered the French Onion soup and she said it had no flavor at all. We were not impressed with the food. I did give it some stars because the waitstaff was very nice and checked on us often but not too often. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean which is always a plus. Overall, it will be a while before we decide to go back. I hope they can improve their food in the future. read more

Had a gift certificate so we thought what the heck. Bad restaurant clues: 1. An unusual, unidentifiable aroma. 2. Dirty tables & booths (crumbs & sticky). 3. No napkins, condiments (except packets of salt & pepper). The 1 star is for the baked potato because the fatty steak & vegetables weren't even worth a gift certificate. The staff was friendly though. Why didn't we just leave? 100% because I was hoping that steak was going to melt in my mouth. read more

Showed up. Went to table. And it took 10 to 15 minutes for the waitress to come see us. We put in our order. About 5 minutes later I got my drink. Them they came back and said "it will be a minute regarding the food". Well. We asked how long is a minute? They replied well. Our computer is updating so we can't put the order in the system. We asked how long and they said 30 to 45 minute before they would look at our order. Our waitress decided to not even come back to see us when we were trying to pay for the drink I had received. The only good thing about this place was the server so therefore she gets the stars. She went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was a good one. However, she had to personally wash the silverware to ensure that it was clean. I picked 3 sets and all were filthy and had food still on them. The entryway floor was so sticky and it seemed it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The overall cleanliness of this place was horrible. I'm surprised the health department hasn't closed it down. Monday evening, Union City, TN. April 25, 2022, 8PM, five in our party, two under 16. Nasty booth and seats, old food, crayons and trash nestled behind us in the seats. One Bourbon Street steak with potatoes and broccoli, was burned on outside, raw on inside, never got broccoli. One Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, too strong of seasoning to eat, one order cheese sticks were luke warm, two bowls of soup and salads, soup was refrigerator cold!!!! Vulgar, foul and loud noise coming from speaker over our heads! All was reported to the waitress, she said "well at least you had those salads", walked away with a nervous laugh and returned with our $81.00 ticket! She seemed as though she couldn't have cared less! No apology, just how it made her mad and she was going to let them have it!!! Her name is Lauren. Refills were charged as new drinks at $2.95 each!! We tried to eat what we could but it was just nasty! We left hungry and very upset! Just remove the "grill" from your business name because it's no doubt, just a bar! That stuff we were served is not worthy of being called food! Now we remember why it's been 15 years since visiting an Applebee's! Never again! read more

*Since this is a chain restaurant, this review is based on customer service. The food is the same as other chains.* Its probably one of the smallest Applebee's Ive ever ate at. I've been twice three times in one week only to not be greeted at the door and usually wait about 5-10 mins before someone even asks me if I've been taken care of.... so much for customer service. Once at the table the staff and fast and curious, but once you order you food, prepare to wait FOREVER to get it, and I do mean FOREVER!!!! This was by far the worst experience I've ever experienced at Applebee's. I had to speak with the manager to even get service. I should have walked out then but I decided that the young lady who seated me was going to take care of me when in fact that was not going to be the case. The salad, Oriental chicken salad was the worst I've ever seen and by far the smallest and I did not get the fried chicken but got the grilled chicken which is not what I ordered. I'm just so disappointed and will never ever go back to this facility again. read more

I don't expect a lot from Applebee's and normally don't write reviews, but after an experience yesterday I felt others must be warned. We were seated after waiting for about five minutes despite the restaurant being almost empty. After waiting about 15 minutes, the hostess came back by and took our drink order saying the waitress would be by to take our order soon. About 30 minutes after this, she came back to take our order. Then the real waiting for our 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals began. We finally received our food after about an hour and half in the restaurant. The baked potato was not cooked, the tortilla shell was soggy, and we never got a refill. We heard multiple people complaining to the manager around us. After more of a wait, we went up to ask for our check. After asking twice more, the "manager" came out and said "I heard you were looking for your check...well I have it right here". Very bizarre. Luckily he took our money right then. Several times we thought about leaving, but there aren't many choices on Sunday night in union city. Next time, we will take our chances on the buffet. Worst dining experience ever. Please don't go here if you value your time! read more
