We visited this location on Christmas Eve. It was our 3rd trip to this location in the past couple of months and have not been dissatisfied. Horrible. Went on a Sunday afternoon. Placed an order for 2 salads. Was told they had no lettuce. No salads could be made. Asked if they had enough lettuce for 2 burgers. Yes. Burgers arrived: no tomatoes, 1 piece of lettuce, 2 small pickles, and 1 piece of onion. When asked where's the rest. Told they were out of those items also. Complained to manager. Manager said at least the meat and fries were good. Manager said she would comp 20%. Check only showed 10%. Either way was poor customer service. Should have been comped the entire meal! Met our family here for lunch. Ordered from the 2 for $20. Menu. I ordered the stir fry and my husband ordered the meal that looks like a pile. I believe it's potatoes and steak with gravy and onion rings on top. The stir fry was dry with no flavor and the steak in the stir fry was really tough. I asked my husband how his was. I will never go here for at least one year. Went to eat with my family, we were ignored for very long time. They served our drinks, and salads. No silverware naither straws, we asked the waitress for it, few minutes passed by and no response, we asked 3 different people but we were ignored. After complaining to manager they came and have is the silverware and straws. She gave us a family discount, money is not the important thing but service instead. I totally agree with all the bad reviews i read about this place !! Of course it USE TO BE DECENT but it has gone to crap. You can smell the cigarette smoke out into the restaurant which is grose and the food is simply just not good anymore. my wife and I decided to check out Applebee's today! Well, I wish I hadn't.... first the appearance on the outside was clean and well kept. This was a great thing! We entered, the hostess was friendly and immediately brought us to our booth. Thanked us and she was awesome! Waited for our waitress a while. She finally showed up to take our order. As we were waiting for our food we heard loud laughter coming from the kitchen. it sounded like they were parting in the kitchen! We heard plates breaking and then cheers! Another hostess brought over a large group of customers to their table but the table was not prepared. the "other" hostess began to move tables around but while this was happening, the customers were just standing there waiting and looking kinda uncomfortable. The customers finally got seated after waiting a couple of minutes. I feel the hostess should have asked the customers to wait a few minutes and THEN go take care of the tables. After the tables were done, THEN bring the customers to the tables. The table next to us sent back their food twice! That is unheard of! As we were eating our dinner, we saw a couple of cooks? (green shirts on and baseball caps on backwards) hanging out at the bar! My wife told me it just reminded her of the shows, mystery diners and restaurant stakeout!! I have to agree! A lot of the servers (male and female) were just playing around near the kitchen (playing touchy feelie with each other and cooks). The new Bourbon black and blue burger was nothing to write home about! 8.99... not worth it! My wife's fish and chip, OK fish (deep fat fry...really hard to mess up!) Our fries were cold and soggy!! Where do I begin? The first thing I smelled when I walked in was sewer. My party went ahead and sat at a table while I had to use the restroom. When I returned to our table, I noticed I wasn't given a menu. I assumed when the waitress came back to the table, she would've brought me one. But that didn't happen. She proceeded to take the entire tables order, not once did she acknowledge me. Once the food arrived, my friends food not mine, I turned my attention to one of the tv's. I visited Applebees for my birthday dinner on 3/8 and was severely disappointed. We get sat and the restaurant has maybe a total of 5 tables not including the bar area. We asked about the happy hour appetizers since we frequently got them down in Corpus Christi and were disappointed to find that it is now limited to like 5 or 6 items. We asked the server about it and he didn't know, he told us it was all the items and came back to say it was only the select few. We ordered our food and by then mind you there were a total of maybe 2 tables at that point. We all ordered appetizers and only 3 plates, the wings, came out at a decent time. The rest of the food took an additional 10 minutes to come out. We were visibly pissed off with the service and not once did the manager come to say anything to us. We watched as the manager sat a man and took him drinks and checked up on him. She never came to check on us. At that point, it was just us and that guy. The server brought us our checks and harassed my fiance and me to give him the cash we were leaving to cover our bill. We were leaving enough to cover the bill and tip and he would not leave us alone about it. The whole service was awful, it completely ruined my birthday dinner. The manager NEVER checked up on us, not ONCE. I was so upset with the overall service.This is the worst service we have ever gotten at an Applebees. I will NEVER return to that location EVER. I am so pissed off with the service and the fact that the manager on duty that night was obviously shit. The employees were all more focused on cleaning their sections than with helping us, especially when there were only two tables. read more

Overall not a bad trip, seated in a decent amount of time given how busy they were. Waitress was very nice and greeted us almost as soon as we sat down and got our drink order and appetizer which were brought out in record time. The chips and spinach dip were ok the dip looked a little watered down but overall not bad flavor. We ordered the chicken and shrimp which was also brought out quickly. One of the chicken breasts was cooked very well still juicy and even char across the other was a little dry due to being slightly over cooked but still eatable. Worst service ever, not only was the waitress rude and lazy all our food was cold, waited over30 min for cold food on hot plates and the a/c was dripping water on 2 tables, never going back, EVER. Great service in the bar. Tasha, Sherrie, Ashley, and Adam are all great bartenders. Have a good time every time I'm in, which is 4-5 times weekly. Food service is hit or miss, but bar staff is great and they try to stay on top of the food. read more

Sorry, but I wish I didn't go. Can't speak for the food, but if you must... Order to go! I'm from out of town, and staying at a hotel nearby. I already ate, so I only wanted to drop in for a couple beers. I should have listened to the other bad reviews, but I've smoked and cigarette smoke has never bothered me. I drank my beer as quick as I could, so I could get out. It seemed like I was the only one at the bar that wasn't smoking, but I noticed there was another guy who wasn't (maybe just at that moment). Everyone else there had their own ashtray and was hotboxing and chain smoking. Should have been a sign when you see the bar closed off from the rest of the place. When I got back to my room, I wrapped up the clothes I had on, just so they wouldn't stink up everything else in my luggage. Whoa... When we use to be able to smoke everywhere, including airplanes, I never remember it being like this! Don't believe me? Go see, and correct me if I'm wrong. read more

Its bad enought that Applebees lives on the salt soaked droppings of what can be bought in the Walmart frozen isle...but its more of a bar ...Its smokey 24 hours a day ...usually from the night before,...the floors under the tables are sticky, the lunch we ate was suppose to be all you can eat salad - but it was more like 3 pieces of iceberg lettuce and watered down ranch with a slice of off color tomatoe (if that) ...the tortilla soup was just plain bad...My wife ordered an appetizer that was not attractive, and if you could get the pregnant server to come by and get you anything it was more than likely the dish water ice tea..( lukewarm served in a glass that had some greasy residue on it ) . I know the construction guys eat here when the weather is bad , probably because they can drink...the idiots from Auto Zone go here because the hours are late and they are only able to eat for 1/2 hour ...also probably the bar , has alot to do with it. I feel bad for anyone who is a regular , during the day or at night the atmosphere was probably good once...or maybe its nice just after a regional manager inspection but who ever owns it has really phoned in the skills if you know what I mean. read more

Stop by on a Sunday night date with the wife. After ordering, it took quite a while for food to come out, maybe 45 mins? Normally that wouldnt seem bad if it was busy, but it didnt look too busy around us. Whatever. We ordered the 2 for $25 special they have going on. We had the buffalo wings and the appetizer, my wife had the shrimp chicken and I had the half rack ribs w fries. My wife said the shrimp wasnt all that great, but the chicken was good. My ribs were great. But my fries were a little stale. I asked for mustard and Tabasco for my fries to try to offset this, but it never came. My wifes plate came with mushrooms, but she asked for them to hold said fungus as she hates them. Which they did, saving us from any more irritation. Kinda slow on the refills, as we hardly saw the waitress. She came around when I was done with my stale fries and apologized for forgetting my condiment's. She seemed sincere and I felt bad for feeling annoyed by the lack of service. All in all this place would be great if the service was a little faster and more consistent. The placed looked really clean, the atmosphere was good. Lots of TVs showing different news and sports channels. And the restroom was SUPER clean, ALWAYS a super plus in my book!! read more

Terrell has TONS of 'fast food' places to choose from, so if you want something fast and a little bit better than just your average fast food joint, this is a good place to come. This Applebee's is located right in front of Tanger Outlet Mall so it can get crowded at times, especially on the weekends. Due to its location, (right off of Interstate I-20) it catches a lot of 'passing through' traffic as well. The bar is a tad small and can get very crowded and VERY loud at times. It started off slow. No one came to the table for about 5 minutes. But when she arrived she was quick to return with drinks. Apparently the new portions only allow for 16 chips at a time. That's about $2 a chip. The manager was quick to resolve that without me having to ask. For a family of 6, it goes pretty quick so it was nice that he was on top of it. They only get 4 stars because of the initial wait and the dismissive bartender. I asked to have a menu removed from the screen to watch the game. Only had to click a button. Instead I received word that there was nothing he could do even though he hadn't looked at it. Other than that, waitress and manager were great. I don't even want to get this place a star. We tried to eat here on 6/4/2015. We arrived around 8:00 P.M. There was hardly anyone in the place. There was a couple waiting to be seated. We asked them why they were waiting as the restaurant was practically empty. They were told 15 to 20 minute wait. The hostess finally came and ask us how many in our party, told her 2. We received same answer 15 to 20 minute wait. Supposedly they were short handed and backed up in kitchen. My husband ask for the manager. Hostess disappeared and returned about 10 minutes only to tell us the manager was busy helping to cook and wouldn't come speak to us. Needless to say we left. The couple that was waiting also left.
