I had the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp , thinking it was a healthy choice but it was full of grease. It was so much oil I could hardly eat it. The menu says 750 calories but no way with that dish. It must be at least 3 times that. The seasoning is good but if you are looking for something healthy and low calorie stay away from this dish . They need better selections for people trying to stay healthy not food drenched in oil. read more

Was having a nice family dinner last night when we overheard the manager talking down on one of the waitresses for accommodating there needs with there order! A business should not be treating there employees like that! I heard the customer ask for salt for there alcohol beverage which should already come with that, the manager heard and told the sweet girl she would fire her if she does! If she does get fired (we prefer her over anyone there) u most likely lost customers she was amazing, kind and the sweetest ever! read more

Never thought I would say anything bad about this place but the bartender on duty was horrible.Only 2 others in bar,took 7 minutes before she took our order cause she was too busy gabbing,never came back after we got our tea,never made eye contact with us,another person came into bar & she immediately waited on him & then started gabbing with other customer,after being there over 20 minutes still never made eye contact.Called her over several times & she barked out what do you want .I mentioned how long we've been waiting & she got very angry and told us to leave.This was at 2:45 on Sept 6th.Have been dining her over 20 yrs,never been treated so rudely. read more

I hadn't ate in an Applebees in almost 8yrs I went today with a friend and I was definitely disappointed and realized why I hear that Applebees is more of a place you go to drink and not eat really. Me and my friend grabbed this plate that had mozzarella sticks, spinach artichoke dip, boneless wings, and a chicken Quesadilla. The quesadilla was nasty almost dry, the chips tasted stale, the spinach dip had no flavor either, literally the only thing I liked were the mozzarella sticks and the boneless wings and even then the wings were alright to me. read more

I had a really really great experience at this location. The staff were very friendly and nice. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken and shrimp entree with their mashed potatoes. TRULY DESERVES A CHEFF'S KISS because everything was soooooo good. The chicken had good flavor, no dryness. The shrimp were cooked nice too, they weren't hard at all. To the people who had 1 star experiences, come back and give this place another try. I think they've improved on their errors. read more

We came at a busy time, but by no means was it crowded. Our party of seven was seated at a booth, but it was broken, so I was sitting on a slanted seat inches lower than the person next to me. Our area did not seem sanitary. Our food took a long time which was understandable. There weren't any napkins brought with our food, which was fine, but since the appetizer we ordered was messy we had asked for some. Our waitress probably forgot because she hadn't brought them after a few minutes, so when returned to check on us again when we asked for napkins a second time. The waitress then went on to converse with a manager just a few yards away from us for several minutes and didn't return. Eventually we just got some paper towels from the restrooms. The staff was not very friendly, except when they came around to promote coupons. The food was not outstanding, but it came as described. read more

Horrible experience with the waiter whose every response to what we requested--like silverware after our meal was served was "in a second". My friend ended up asking a waitress for the silverware which she promptly brought to us and also refilled our drinks. My friend tipped her and thanked her. My husband said the waiter's tip was going down. A few minutes later the waiter came to the table to say he did not want to serve us anymore and handed our table over to the friendly waitress. We tipped her what my husband normally tips, 20% of the total. His loss. We will never go back to this location again. We go to the Applebee's in San Antonio at their busiest times of day and have always gotten excellent service. read more

Wow! I felt like I was in a 3rd world country. Dirty silverware, 3 different sets. And not just water spots, chunks of food on 3 different knives. Spinach Artichoke dip with about 10 broken chips. Not much more to say, sadly, than the other reviews. The food was ok. Not great, not bad. The service was actually quite good. And the atmosphere was pretty decent. Even though they were busy at the time I was there, they sat me pretty quick. I did like that they had tv's all around to watch. Sadly, just the quality of the food was a little lacking for my taste. And $20.00 for one piece of a pork chop just seems a bit high. Oh, and the Internet (and their Wi-Fi) was horribly slow! I basically good not get a connection the entire time I was there. read more

My girlfriend Susana, and I Anthony, decided to meet up at Applebee's in Terrell to watch the Cowboys football game. It was a convenient location for us both since we're both college students and living apart from each other. The Terrell location is an hour drive for us both. We made the decision that this Applebee's would be our regular spot every football game. I walked in at sat at a high top table in the bar area. The bartender Courtney greeted me when I first sat down and served me two waters while I waited for Susana to arrive. As Susana arrived she realized the that the actual bar wasn't open for seating and wanted to sit at a booth instead and we moved to a booth. As we sat down we were greeted my another young man who was very nice and Susana asked if they were gonna play the game on the speakers in the area we were sitting. He explained that they only play the sound of the game in the bar area so we decided to move back to the bar. Well.. Courtney didn't like this one bit.. She completely ignored us and didn't serve us the entire time we were in the bar. The manger who was there didn't acknowledge us as well and she was walking in and out of the bar consistently. Courtney greeted 3 other tables as soon as the walked in and they all got drinks and food before we were even served. During this time another manger who came in to replace the other manager was the one to actually acknowledge that we're there. We sat there for an entire quarter of football (Aprox 40min) before we were even greeted and finally got our drinks. After that, the manger took our food order because Courtney didn't want to serve us. The manger apologized claiming that Courtney was very busy and couldn't get to us, mind you she greeted 3 other table after we sat down and ignored us the entire time. Furthermore, I've been a bartender for 15 years, she was not busy, she was just upset that we moved from the bar and then changed our minds and went back to the bar. If she claims that she was too busy then Courtney shouldn't be a bartender, she needs to move back to training and a two table section. There was only about 6 tables of 2 in the entire bar, plus she had help from the managers to help make drinks for the rest of the restaurant. So there was no excuse. For the entire time we sat at in the bar Courtney didn't say one word to either one of us. The second manger, who was very nice, was the only one serving us. It wasn't until the last 2min of the 4th quarter (approx 3 hours) that Courtney acknowledges us by pre bussing the table and asked if we needed anything else. Obviously she was just looking for a tip, the manger gave us the check, Courtney came to collect our payment and I told her to split the bill on two credit cards. She didn't split the bill, she charged me $28.11 and only charged Susana $5.40. I couldn't help but to think she was being a sexist at this point and charging the man more then the women. We tipped her $1 each on our receipts, and that was just to be nice but she didn't deserve any tip at all. This is the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant and will not be returning to that location. We will be searching for another place to watch our football game every week. Courtney doesn't need to be a bartender, remove her and replace her with someone else, she's a horrible server. read more

I swiped my card at my table and immediately got a text showing it had been deducted from my account.. We are waiting for to go boxes and the GM comes to our table and says your card did not go through. WHAT?? I'm looking at my balance and I'm showing you! I gave her my name both work and cell and told her if it was still not right I would come back that next day .. She inform me I could not leave until she ran it again.... Now I'm upset because she's charging my card twice!! 70.50x2 . I was unlawfully detained for almost 2 hours! We called to make a complaint . They said someone would contact me before Thursday.. NO ONE CALLED OR EMAILED ME.. So I called this evening .. I was giving the supervisors name and number and would ya know he never responded at all.. so I called guest relations again. This time I was informed that the GM AND SUPERVISOR met and came to the conclusion that I was lying !! I hope everyone at Applebee's will read this!! And consumer beware!! read more

My wife and I went to this Applebee's about 4 times in the last couple months. We were planning to make it a regular thing, even though the food and drinks are mediocre, it's just a convenient place for us. That plan changed this past weekend due to a few things. First, we were trying a couple different drinks when the waitress told us she couldn't bring any more until we finished what we had. We were completely sober, there's no reason to treat us like children. Second, we asked for the boneless wings as an appetizer, which would've been about $5 (half price after 10pm). Instead, the waitress suggests we share the all-you-can-eat wings, so we agree. We ended up eating what equates to two orders of the appetizers ($10 worth). When the waitress brings the check she informs us that we weren't supposed to share the all-you-can-eat so she had to charge us for two of them. So we paid $28 instead of the $10 it would have been if she just brought us what we asked for. Those factors and the fact that their mixed drinks taste like nothing but fruit and water are why we will not be returning. read more

My Sister and her husband wanted to take me out for my birthday and we decided on Applebee's. We had a decent male server, but had to ask another female server to help us out a time or two...That's not the issue. The issue is, knowing I was going out for my birthday, I didn't eat that much beforehand so to be able to really enjoy my meal when we went out. BIG mistake!! Even if I had eaten a large breakfast and lunch, I would have left this place hungry. I ordered a chicken dinner that came with a rice, cranberry, and quinoa mix. There was nothing else that came with this meal, just the chicken, rice mix and an apple/cucumber relish . No salad, no vegetable. We had a 25 minute wait for our food. When it came out, the chicken, rice mix, and relish didn't even cover 1/2 the plate!! I asked the server if it was an appetizer! "No" he said, "they just have portion control here". Well let me tell you, we came hungry, we left hungry AND poorer!! We went home and had our meal there after our "portion controlled" dinner/appetizers. IF YOU ARE HUNGRY, DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!! The server said he'd inform the manager of our complaints, but a manager never did show up. We (reluctantly) paid the bill, left and WON'T BE BACK!! Shame on Applebee's !!! As far as I'm concerned, you didn't give value for the money spent and in essence STOLE from us. IN MORE MODERN WORDING.....THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!!! read more

This location has improved so much in the past 6 years. My steak was perfect, the broccoli was great and the baked potato was huge and flavorful. The wait staff was awesome and friendly. Amanda was my waitress, she was happy, polite, and made sure my order was correct before it got to the table. I have been in there twice funny story wife couldn't figure out what in the hell smelled so bad last time. Shit slapped me in the face this time. We sat in the 1st booth and I could literally smell every time she talked. That's bad! Took them for ever to ask what we wanted to drink, took forever to take our order, and took for ever to get our food. Then the order was wrong. So the rude manager comes over said she was sorry (what ever). My kids cheese stick weren't even cooked all the way. Pretty bad when a little kids says, "Dad the food sucks". Problem starts at the top need with a Manager that obviously don't care, all the way down to the bus boy. (Which was arguing with the hostess in front of every one about bussing a table.) I will never return! I would rather drive another 15 minutes to Forney, or another 30 minutes to Canton before I return to this whole! Sorry for the bad post but I'm pretty blunt! read more

We visited this location on Christmas Eve. It was our 3rd trip to this location in the past couple of months and have not been dissatisfied. They wait staff is terrific - super nice and very attentive. The food has been great at each visit - fresh and nicely presented on the plate. I ordered a steak after driving 35 miles from the lake to get to the location, after roughly an hour of waiting for our food with the expectation that they would get it at least close to the way I ordered it (Medium Rare) and that was beyond the their comprehension and it came out VERY well done. In fact it was burned throughout and so tough it was virtually inedible. I asked the server what she thought was wrong with my food and she immediately stated that it was "probably overcooked". With that statement it tells me a lot about the expectation of kitchen and food that comes out of this disgusting facility. I sent the plate back and refused getting another cooked for me as I know what happens when you send a steak back in more than 50% of establishments when you are not satisfied so I fully intended to eat the cost and never come back to this trash hole. As you see the other reviews this isn't a very reputable establishment and I wish I would have looked at this before making the drive to find a later night place to sit down for what I thought would be a semi quality meal. The manager Leslie Green was Extremely rude to me and told me that "I'm just going to have to ask you to pay your tab and leave". This was absolutely insane and I will never come to an Applebee's in general EVER again because of this horrible lady!!! Worst customer service I've ever encountered in my life. read more
