Food was decent! I ordered the pretzel appetizer and it is to die for! I also ordered the three cheese chicken penne and it is very good! They have recently expanded their menu which has been nice to explore other options here. It is a very family friendly restaurant and will continue to go back. The service was okay, our service was a bit slow today and we didn't receive our drinks in a timely manner, however, other than that it was good. read more

Honest review, was skeptical at first seeing the rating around a 2, but we had a gift card and had to give it a shot. First off our waitress Val was the sweetest and most attentive ever, such a comforting presence whenever she stopped by, was super helpful in some appetizer choices too! Food was great! Steak was solid, a bit salty but nothing the mash potatoes didn't take care of. Vibe inside was nice too, had a booth near the bar and at 7 the lights dimmed making it more relaxed. Overall, worth a shot! Great deals and great service, shout out Val! read more

The last three times we went there, we had issues being seated or served. We went two days ago and when we came in, the lady at the hostess stand said she couldn't seat us until the waitress came out of the bathroom. There were only two tables in the restaurant. We waited a long time, and were not seated. We left. The previous time, we were told that they didn't have anyone to wait on us. We said we could sit at the bar and eat, but they said no, that would not work. We eat out a lot and have never experienced the issues we experienced at this restaurant. It is the worse we have ever experienced. Do not go there! read more

Waited 10 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant, waited another minutes for waiter and waited 45 minutes to get wood. As we said here we saying at least three separate parties leave while waiting to be seated. One left came back and left again read more

My son and I met at Applebee's on Southfield. Normally when I go to a restaurant with a lot of young people on staff, it's not a good experience for me and I do not return. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the entire staff of young people working there. They were very very much on point. Our server was Damon and just loved his demeanor. They all cared about their customers. I'm sure they have a fantastic relationship with their Manager, Holly, who was also an excellent leader for them. I will return to this Applebee's again. Good job Holly, Damon, and the rest of the staff. read more

My daughter and her dad went out to dinner last night together. They waited almost an hour for their food, were brought the wrong food twice, and then he took my daughter to the bathroom and yall CLEAN UP THEIR WHOLE MEAL THEY HAVENT EATEN YET??? Take my autistic daughter's toys and get them all nasty. My poor baby was so upset and enjoying time out with her dad. You guys suck big time for that. Whoever was working on July 31st 2026, you suck! read more

We made it around 7pm we waited to be seated about 40 minutes it wasn't busy in the restaurant it was only about 10 customers in there. When we finally was seated our server Zhane J. said we will have to order everything at once meaning appetizers, entree, drinks, & desserts. Why?! I still don't know. Seemed as we were being rushed. The food was great but the vibes weren't & some tables around us were pretty dirty. First & last time! I'm never going back to the Southfield Rd. location... I will stick to going to the Middlebelt location. read more

I genuinely think McDonald's has more taste than Applebee's. The burgers are always dry as ever. The fries are always super soggy. The atmosphere is set at 59°. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. Then when we were seated no one ever came to serve us. We waited about 30 minutes before we decided to get up and leave. We arrived about 7:30 p.. There were people in the restaurant, but it wasn't crowded. We waited at the door about 10 minutes before someone came and sat us. Another 10 minutes go by before the waitress comes over. We ordered our meal and drinks. 5 minutes later she brought my husband's drink. 5 minutes later the manager dropped my drink on the table. Another 10 minutes go by before the salads were brought, no silverware. Eventually the manager drops the silverware off. The entree finally arrives. While we were eating a group of young men came in. After about 15 minutes they were seated right behind us. They were chatting , not disruptive. Until the 2 girls came to their table. Then all 6 of them got loud. I told them I wanted a box and my bill ( I had already given her my card). The hostess brought the box and resumed talking to the guys.I stood and put my coat on. I waited 5 mins, then decided the tip would decrease by one dollar for each minute I waited. She lost $5. It was 9:45 when we got in the car. I will not return. read more

I took myself out to lunch. When I entered a young man cleaning a table immediately came over and while gathering a menu and silverware a server walked up and was talking in a real snippy tone to the young man about hurrying up to seat me so he can come take her phone off silent because she had an important call that she had to take. He sat me and I heard the same server walking through saying she was ready to go home, and she was talking about the young man at the door. She said to another worker that you know he's slow. Now it was pretty obvious to me that he may have had some challenges, however he was kind and he was professional. I didn't like the chatter I heard from this server who was talking out loud. This lady had glasses and was wearing a black scarf on her head. My server treated me really well and my food was good but the other servers attitude was a vibe killer. read more

All the waiters sit around like they're dining with you! They do not check up on you, no refills unless asked for. Didn't come ask if we were done and ready for the check or anything, when asked for the check I got snapped at and was told she couldn't help me. I didn't tip for shit. And the waitress smelt like crap. read more

Very poor service. The soft drink refill was more than 15 minutes late. Went to make a complaint to a manager in the kitchen area. What I thought was a staff that intentionally bumped me in the back was actually the head kit hen manager who apparently did like me complaining about the poor customer service A female assistant manager came out and tried to discredit my complaint. I told her to review the cameras. A fellow employee corroborated my version of what happened and the assistant manager when given the information in front of the customers and employees finally made an embarrassing apology. Would not recommend this place if business. Very poor service. read more

They have excellent food. It was very clean and it's a very great family restaurant and the service was great.

This location is not the best. The service is awful they act like you are bothering them. The food tastes like it was just microwaved and thrown together. The spinach dip that I ordered tasted oily and just not right. I told my waiter and he said that people been complaining about it and something was off with it..I was shocked because why would you let me order it. Never again! read more

Avoid this branch even if you die of hunger! Ordered for pickup today July 12 at 4:09pm via apple bees app , arrived on the pickup time, the girl at the curbside asked for the baby which I gave her then she disappeared inside, 5 mins later I knocked on the door she opened and said it'll be right away ready. I noticed there were 3 waitresses or worker standing there talking ", waited for another 10 mins then decided to walk into the store to find what the hell happened to my order, she came out with my order at that second. I asked her why too late she said we're do the orders based on the order we receive them, if so y tell me it'll be right out if it'll be late for 15 mins. Another staffer came over in an aggressive rude way saying it all we can do. I replied I'm never coming to this branch again, he yelled back "Good, don't come back" read more

Customer service is horrible at this place. It was me and another person going to lunch around noon and the place was empty. We were seated by the cook. Located on busy Southfield Road in Southfield. Shares a parking lot with a strip mall. The good: The building is new or newly renovated. The chain has a number of specials and happy hours to entice customers to come in. This location is almost all Black customers and all Black staff. We were in a group who came to meet and eat before a nearby event, but came in a few at a time to wait for the larger table area. As such, we got to the bar two at a time, so it wasn't like there were 10 people stacked at once. The bartenders and managers were playing a game where they couldn't see us but could see the Black customers. One woman would come over and wait on us after a while. For reasons known only to groups no one else would leave. We were seated. I don't think this part was a race issue, but they are very slow and very disorganized. The main waitress was trying, but it just seemed to be too much for her and all of them. The food wasn't very good. A lot of it was dry, several people's orders were missing things like sauce or sides that the menu said would be on them. read more

What a horrible experience. On Tuesday, August 12. My family arrived at this AppleBees location at 9pm. With the patronage being fairly low upon entry, we thought it wouldn't be long of a wait. Well we waited to be sat for 10 monster minutes. That wasn't so bad but once we were sat, we waited for 45 minutes and no one came no check on us and we hadn't met our server. Growing frustrated, I got up to seek the manager and begun preparing to leave. The lead cook acting as manager because he claimed management was tied up came to assist with our problem. Promising that he could solve our discomfort by sending someone else over to take care u of us who also was not the manager. We were so hungry that we wanted him to be telling us the truth so we waited. Shortly after a women comes to take our order. Once this happened we didn't see our food for another 45 mins. There was no accommodations made and nothing taken off the bill. The exit was so long that one of my family members left and both my children went to Sir sleep without dinner. such horrible service. I expected more due to it being Southfield but this was just another ghetto detroit on the other side of the tracks. Don't go! you will be sorry! read more

This was my first time dining at Applebee's location in Southfield. It wasn't crowded, as I suspected it would be for a Saturday evening. I was seated immediately, and the waitress was nice. I just ordered appetizers and a couple of drinks (the special for the month ($1.00 Vodka Strawberry Lemonade). And everything was good. I had no complaints. I would probably go back out to this location, as I know it's a newer location, and in my opinion one of the nicer locations read more

I stopped in here today for lunch. I saddle up to the bar. Mikera immediately greeted me. She was making drinks and said she would be with me in a moment. So I saw that there were new menu items called Sizzlin' Entrees. I ended up ordering Sizzlin' Cheddar and Bacon Chicken Skillet with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. Mikera brought me my food and noticed that they gave me double mashed and apologized and stated that green garlic bean would be out shortly. She said they look very similar in the system. The food was delicious. It didn't look like a photo of it, but it was yummy. read more

I had a really bad cramp in my leg and David prayed for me. Chelsea was a really attentive server and treated me like a real VIP.

Food was okay. I was satisfied. My husband had a hair in his pasta but our waitress and the manager handled it well I'm my opinion. They took the pasta off a d then gave us a free appetizer since my husband didn't want to eat at all anymore. They got the food out in a good amount of time. Quick enough for an hour lunch in between clients, which was great for me. Our waitress was a sweet heart. Got the life of me I cannot remember her name ‍ and I left my receipt so I can't even look it up. This was my second time having her, she's been consistent with the loveliness each time. I'd come back. Only place around similar to them is probably Fridays and I would definitely take this location over TGI Fridays in Southfield any day. read more
