We got a slew of appetizers and then some entrees, mainly of the sandwich variety. We were underwhelmed by the grilled cheese "hamburger" as well as the hamburger dipped in cheese, which my friend said didn't taste as good as the last time she'd had it. Had the worst experience at Applebees in Silverdale tonight. Took over 40 minutes just to get the drinks we ordered when we sat down. We asked for water for the table never did get any. Food was delivered at different times so some of us waited awhile before we got any food. Drinks were screwed up as well. They doubled the wrong drink. I asked for lids for my tarter sauce 4 times before I got any. I won't be in any hurry to go back to Applebees any time soon! read more

Typical chain and very busy for the Silverdale location. Food was decent and didn't feel rushed. Good seating and not too loud to where you can have a decent convo. Usually get the Bourbon Street Mushroom Burger which never fails. Wise will usually get the ribs and their flavored lemonades are always a table favorite. read more

Was seated right us right away group of 4 got a booth. Our server Gabriel P. really went out of his way to make sure we was accomodated. Water was brought out quickly and drinks there after. Appetisers followed, the main course meals. The food was flavorful and adequate temperature. The star of the show was the baby barbecue ribs. I wanted to order 2 of the Thursday specials (their delicious Asian Chicken Salad) to go, and was initially told I was 15 minutes too late to take advantage of the sale price. After it took me some time to find a parking spot, almost 5 minutes to be seated, I was carrying some other personal stress... I may have been a little grumpy. These 3 employees turned my experience around completely by honoring the discount on these salads, offering to go waters, and generally being what you would want and expect in top notch customer service. We gave our name to the hostess with our table number. The table was empty and dirty when we arrived. About 20 minutes later our table was still empty and dirty. The hostess tried to seat us in the back of the restaurant. I reminded her that we wanted a table in the front corner. Then she took us to another table in the front. Again I reminded her that we asked and waited for a specific table. She looked and told us it was dirty and we could sit elsewhere. We chose to leave. Shame on you for your lack of training for your staff. There were 3 staff members around the podium by the entrance. There was a lot of talking and giggling as customers waited. Not one of the three was cleaning tables in the front of the restaurant. We saw Chuck and Richie, the managers, but were unable to talk to them about our concerns. I haven't been to Applebee's for years, but I'm so glad we stopped. The Oriental Chicken Salad I used to eat for lunch every week 20 years ago was just as good as it used to be. Now, that's some impressive consistency. Plus, they added one of the best bread sticks I've ever had. The riblets were also very good. The service was excellent, and I was seated in a very comfortable booth, too. It's a drive to get there from my place, but I will consider the drive next time I want the Oriental salad with that yummy dressing. Way to go, Applebee's. read more

This section will address the great experience we had with the car side pickup. First of all, this was a website order but it went so well we downloaded the app for future orders. After placing the order we were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. At the 21 minute mark we pulled into one of the car side pickup parking spots. Before we could contact them to say we had arrived a delightful employee was at our car door with our food and drink order. We never had to leave the car. The whole experience was amazing and all for the same price as we would have paid had we gone through the McDonald's drive through! The chicken was juicy the burger was pink in the middle as requested and the order consisted of everything we asked for! Concepts that are often overlooked at other drive through operations. The only reason this is not a 5-star rating is the packaging. The container did not allow steam to escape causing the fries to start losing some of their crispness. read more

The spinach artichoke dip was glued together with some weird substance that look like glue. My burger though cooked well had a burnt bourbon sauce that was off on taste. I took a staff member out for a lunch at Applebee's a couple of days ago. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in over a year, because it had lost its appeal. Yet, for some reason their advertised special of AYCE riblets sounded very appetizing. I wanted my riblets to be naked (unsauced) and did not want the fries but instead preferred a vegetable to go with it. So, I called ahead the night before to make sure there would be no hassle with the substitutions. When we arrived were seated quite promptly, and had a choice of where we wanted to sit. Our wait person was on the spot at the table immediately asking for our beverage orders and such. Great start to our lunch time. We placed our order and then we waited. And we waited some more. And we kept waiting. And we waited even more. Oh, and um, we waited. Finally they brought out the meals but mine was completely wrong. They had slathered BBQ sauce all over the riblets, though I had explicitly requested naked - no sauce. I asked for steamed broccoli, no butter no seasonings, but the butter was running off the brocolli onto the plate. And I had asked they hold the cole slaw or give it to someone else. But of course they served me cole slaw. They wait person came over and she said that they would take care of it. I must say that they indeed did take care of it. Even though it took a while longer I got the riblets the way I wanted them with the broccoli as I had requested. And no nasty cole slaw on my plate. I received an apology from the wait person, who got the manager to come over even though I did not request to speak with the manager. Here is where it got really good. The young woman who manages the restaurant is really amazing. She made sure that everything was properly done as far as the quality of the meal, and she compensated me for the meal in a bigger way than I would have expected or required. My dining partner and I invited the manager to sit with us for a few minutes and we chatted. The manager has a powerful personal story (I know because I am inquisitive about people and I asked). Her commitment to doing the right thing and ensuring genuine customer satisfaction is strong. Because of that Applebee's will be a place that I will return to, even though I had been away for so long, and the food is generally mediocre in my opinion. read more

I'm giving this review with grace of 3 stars because although it seems like every time i've been to this applebees i'm disappointed with the food but this last time which was last night we dined in little late around 10:30 (They close at 12am) and i got the 4 Cheese Mac with Honey Pepper chicken. The way that i literally couldn't eat the food it was so incredibly oily, sweet, and watery. The chicken i expected the Honey pepper but i didn't expect the entire dish to taste like honey, and the oil and grease from the chicken tenders just leaks all onto the mac and cheese leaving pools of honey oil over it and my god i could only stomach 3 bites and something about mac and cheese where the cheese is literally milk water and oil just made my stomach turn. Food wasn't even that hot either so it was like luke warm sweet milk oil noodle soup. Enough about the mac because typing about it is giving me post nausea. Our sever was so nice and so helpful. My boyfriend had ordered a bacon burger but we didn't know we could mix and match the 2 for 25 and the 2 for 35 so he saved us like $15 by just ordering a different appetizer! So was the food crap because we're the assholes at the end of the night and that's whatchu get or is their mac and cheese game really that bad. I don't know i'm not going to try and find out anymore. So we ordered the all you can eat wings , shrimp, and whatever else. The first plate out was the 10 wings, then it was 5 wings, then 6 shrimp that took 37 minutes to come out. It was bullshit. It's not all you can eat it's all you can wait! how do you go from 10 wings down to five wings then to six shrimp? That's probably why it's all you can eat because it takes forever to get the next dish especially when you're only given five wings, you need to put your next order in right as soon as your plate is delivered to your table! I'm giving two stars because the oriental chicken salad dressing is like crack. Other than that whenever I get the oriental wrap it falls apart the second I lay eyes on it. I really wish they would learn how to wrap it tight and seer it strong. I mean when they get it right they nail it, let's nail it every time instead of 2/10 times. Ps. One time me and my grandma went there for lunch and our waitress was soooo sweet. Probably the sweetest I've met. To start things off I very rarely eat in the restaurant, I usually order on their app for car side to go. The app is easy to use and when I show up the servers are always friendly, and the experience is always positive. The problems arise when it comes to the vegetation, I have NEVER had a quality salad here., entree or side. The lettuce is always a faded green or core and hardly any quality leaf, sometimes its straight brown and for the price you should expect more. The next small problem I have is with the tipping system. When you order from the app you can include a tip (which I always do) and when they bring you the receipt it asks you to tip again, not sure why but hopefully people are not double tipping just to have food transported from point A to point B. However as far as food and service goes I have never had a problem, it is a convenient system and for the most part a delightful experience. read more

Now if I were to compare this to an upscale, fine dining venue, I would rate differently. However, I came in with reasonable expectations. Team was welcoming from the moment they sat us, to our wonderful waiter, Jacob, to the other waiter who helped me find the ladies room, and finally to the appreciation before we exited. This Applebee's has come a long ways in the last few years! Not sure if there was a manager change or what happened but it's really the nice neighborhood bar and grill that they say they are! Hubby and I ate in the bar and were treated to some of the best service we've had anywhere! Very friendly, attentive and informative just the way we like it! She informed us of the specials, pointed out all the menus and the table tablet for ordering and paying and checked on us frequently. As soon as our daughter arrived she was treated to the same great service! The food has improved right along with the service so something is definitely going right! We always get the Wonton Tacos and as usual they arrived quickly and were hot and fresh. The consistency is spot on, always the same, always perfect! Hubby had a steak, cooked perfectly, great seasoning and plenty for leftovers. I had the appetizer shrimp which was amazing, hot and crispy, just as pictured on the menu! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the drinks, they're a bit weak and no matter what we ordered they seemed to be sweet! Probably not this Applebee's fault I'm sure but maybe an Applebee's standard for drink mixes and recipes. I only consider the drinks as part of the rating because it's a bar and grill!
