Isaac was an AMAZING server. Never had someone throughly explain a menu in a charismatic and funny way like him. I like shutting my brain off when I treat myself to eat so this felt like princess treatment lol. Overstimulating music it's way too loud In here lol. Applebees is one of my "Go To" chains when I'm not in the mood to explore local favorites when traveling. Normally they rate a 4-5 in my experience. Unfortunately, our experience at this place could only rate 2 stars because the service was extremely slow. We waited over 40 minutes to receive our meals. Unacceptable! read more

Ive been coming here since I started college, probably a 3 star before this experience. I ordered to-go last night and got a chicken tender salad. I got a HUGE chunk of moldy cheese that I couldn't see until I mixed it up. I wasn't mad at that, it happens it's cheese, I just picked the chunk out and went on with it. But 5 bites in I pulled two medium length black/brown pieces of hair? We don't even have people/animals in my house with brown/black hair. So now I have a moldy and hairy salad? I threw it all out after that, lost all my appetite. Please fix this, I've worked in restaurants in the past and all it is is quality control. I ordered ribs from here and it was the worst meat to bone ratio I have ever seen on a rack of ribs. The meat was dry, and the garlic mashed potatoes were dry and lumpy. However it was partially redeemed by superb service. read more

Chicken Cesar was smaller and more expensive than the side salad! My salad came well after my sandwhich. Our fries came very cold and the second batch came so burned they were hollow!!! Our server was not sympathetic and she did not offer any help. The waitress asked us about our checks when we just just received our food! Been to a lot of Applebee's that are a little run down and not that appealing...this one seems to have been redone with a nice bar area. We had an hour long wait (due to us having 7 people and them only having two tables that could accommodate us). We ended up splitting into two groups at separate tables across the restaurant from each other. The manager was very apologetic, saying to each of us, "I'm going to take care of you." Then, after our meal, we each paid separately. To apologize, the manager took $10 off of only one of our checks. So the rest of us who had to wait the same amount of time did not get anything. We have tried this place multiple times in the past three years and have always left feeling like we paid too much for lousy service and mediocre food. The prices are higher than Hudsons or some of the other places close by while the food portions are tiny and the quality only ok. The waitstaff doesn't seem to really care whether you're there or not. Our waiter Isaac, stood at the end of the aisle with his hands behind his back staring off into nothing during our whole meal even though there were multiple things wrong and multiple things missing. I tried to have dinner with my wife at this restaurant tonight. When we walked in there was a couple already waiting for a table ahead of us. At first glance inside the restaurant anyone could see that it was not busy, in fact I counted around 10 tables With people. The bar had one couple sitting at it. The hostess told us that it would be a ten minute wait. We sat down and started our wait. ten minutes rolled by very quickly and we were never seated nor was anyone else, even though there were at least 10 empty tables. The hostess informed everyone that walked in that there Would be a wait. We even asked if we could sit at the bar that was empty and for some reason we were not allowed. After waiting and listening to the hostess speak poorly of the customers that she had previous encounters with that clearly bothered Her we decided that we would leave and go across the road to red lobster. Celebrated a friend's birthday dinner here. Our waiter was very friendly, and stopped by our table a number of times UNTIL we received our food. He never asked us how are food was, and all 5 of us sat with empty water glasses and nobody was around to help us. When we were all finished, they brought out a birthday dessert for my friend which was very much appreciated, and then our waiter finally filled up our water glasses only to dump an entire glass of water directly onto my lap. The manager caught word of this and asked if he could take care of my meal which I though was very kind and professional, especially considering as a waitress myself I understand that accidents like that happen! The food is like every other Applebee's, but the staff needs a little bit of tuning to be more attentive to their guests. read more

Applebee's in Marquette, We decided to stop here for lunch after a morning of holiday shopping, the place was busy but there were a few tables left and we were seated right away. The hostess went over the specials for the season and the waitress was over in a flash taking our dirk orders. The waitress was very busy and was not as interactive as I like them to be, but she did a great job. I was not without a dink when my glass emptied. We ordered the 2 for 20 deal and the food was good. Overall a nice experience. read more

I found a ridiculous amount of hair in my food, and the customer service was just as ridiculous. me and my girlfriend ordered our food online, when we got the food we had a few things missing, and being online I know I ordered drinks and a soup to go with our meal, all ordered together, when we got our food we didn't have our drinks or the soup, when we asked why we didn't get them the worker argued instead of trying to help us, or help us understand that the site must've glitched or didn't go through with part of the order, the manager during this time came out already in a bad mood, then proceeded to charge us for what we had already thought we ordered, we decided to eat our food and immediately noticed the hair, there was at least 2-3 strands per item, different lengths/ colors, when we called to complain there wasn't even a hint at a refund for our $40 order, I then called the health department, (I disclosed to the manager that I was calling them because that is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable) I would not recommend eating here, food was alright for the most part but the hair completely ruined my appetite and any chance of me ordering from here again, which isn't a loss since this isn't the first time I experienced poor customer service from this location. I hope this review helped with your decision to eat here or not, and I hope that applebees can pull it together. read more

Time and time again I am thoroughly disappointed with the mediocre food and careless service. I have had to send food back and/ or complain several times. Also very inconsistent when it comes to quality of food and service. I will not being going back anytime in the near future unless these issues are resolved (unlikely.) One of my last-choice places to go. On my own, I would never ever go there but occasionally am meeting a group that wants to dine there. No matter what you order, it tastes like the flavor was sprayed on with a can of grill-flavor spray. And there is nothing on the menu that doesn't contain MSG. Went to Marquette Applebee's for a rare night out and waited so long we finally left. Three tables were seated after us and had their drink orders taken while we sat there still waiting to have our waitress appear. Finally, someone came to our table and said our server was "really busy" so she would take our drink order. I mentioned the tables around us were being served and she informed us that was a different server. We ordered our drinks; my companion ordered ice water and I ordered a Patron margarita. She brought one ice water and told me my drink "was coming." I noticed the girl who took our drink order talking to what I assumed must be our waitress because she kept pointing at our table while she was talking. We continued to wait, menus in front of us, while our fellow diners started placing their orders, and my margarita sat on the bar waiting for our mystery server. No waitress ever appeared and the girl who brought the one ice water never came back...so we left. Worst service ever!! I was a server in my youth and I would have been ashamed to treat diners in such a negligent manner. Fortunately, Red Lobster, which is right across the street, was happy to serve us, and over $100 later, we left very satisfied. Don't think we will be rushing back to Applebee's in Marquette anytime soon. read more

my girfriend and I eat once to twice a month here and have always had a good experience with food and staff, but tonight 12/16/2012 made me want to never go back again the waitress seemed like she had better things to do especially when our meals came out completely wrong and under cooked. Best place to go to for inexpensive great tasting food. Sunday-Thursday starting at 8:00 pm 1/2 off Appetizers and $2.50 Tall drafts. Fri & Sat its after 9pm! I have never had a bad experience here. My boyfriend & I go out every weekend around town, but always find making our way back to Applebees to eat. They update there menu often, trying out new dishes. The staff is always very nice and at night they are always busy so it makes good entertainment, if you want to have fun and be loud. Our favorite appetizers is the Beer battered pretzels, they are always amazing and a great way to start your night, not to mention they come out right after you order them! I recently tried a new dish, Chx topped with shrimp and Mexican rice underneath with a guac tequila sauce & sautéed onions & peppers. I got minus peppers, but the dish tasted amazing also only at $12. TVs everywhere so you cant miss any games. LOVE!! read more
