If I could give this store a negative star I would... Our arrival time was 7:20PM. Upon arriving at the store we were greeted warmly by the hostess and told there was a twenty minute wait time, however, we noticed that only half of the restaurant was filled, as in there were several open tables. We decided it would be ok to wait, so roughly five minutes later we were seated at table 21 in the dining area. Although we were not in a terrible hurry we both noticed that several couples around us were being seated and given drinks and appetizers after we had been sitting there for almost 10-15 minutes. After we had been seated for 25 full minutes our waitress finally greeted us at the table for the first time and told us her name was Charlisa S. and she would be taking care of us tonight. Upon placing our order for drinks, appetizer, and entrees, we were famished. I myself ordered a Michelob Ultra and my boyfriend ordered water, the waitress was wearing a button that said WE ID. I am twenty three years old...I am barely legal to drink alcohol legally, she did not ask me for my ID, this bothered me greatly. I do not look old, I get carded every time we go out to eat; but I really wanted to point out that this waitress was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. As we continued to wait for our food and drinks, couples around us in our section with the same waitress was being served with drinks and food. We entered the store at 7:20PM it was 8:20PM when I was given my beer, I wanted to spend a tab for this evening of about $40 or more on alcohol, it was a great day and I wanted to celebrate. My boyfriend was served 5 minutes later with his first drink, a water, and was given no straw. Throughout the entire night it was very clear and evident that we were being treated differently due to either the way were dressed or the color of our skin. I truly hate to say this, but I felt as if I was not being served because of my race. I have never felt so miserable in a restaurant before in my entire life. When our food finally arrived at our table we had ordered some nachos my boyfriend wanted to try it was served with the meal and they were cold, we did not eat them. They confused our orders and gave my boyfriend my sweet potato fries and they gave me his regular ones. I was served last I had to wait for my food, they did not serve us together. I have never been to a restaurant where a couple has to wait for their food to be brought out at separate times. I asked the lovely lady who gave us our food what to do about the sides, and she said, "Just use your hands to pick up the fries and switch them to the other plate..." In no way shape or form is this the correct response to give to anyone eating at an established restaurant. This is unsanitary, although I love my boyfriend Michael very much I was quite literally shocked with this answer. Not only did they mix up the orders, serve the appetizer with the entree, but my burger was prepared wrong. I informed our waitress Charlisa and she simply stated it was what I ordered and she couldn't change it. At this point I was incredibly upset and sad because I was so hungry and dehydrated, I had finished my first and only beverage 25 minutes ago at that point. We were not asked once if we wanted refills, I was not afforded the opportunity to spend more money on my meal because I wasn't asked. After not even touching the appetizer we were not asked why we did not eat it. We had contact with our waitress three times, and she ignored us and attended to the other tables that were the same skin tone as her, which is what lead me to believe that this was a racially charged situation. I would never, ever make a claim like this unless I truly felt that we were being treated unfairly. After we quite literally inhaled the meal because we were so hungry we asked for the check and we left a tip, and made no scene. However, I did ask for the manager and they simply stated that she was unavailable for people like you... I'm unsure what this meant. We made no issue in the restaurant, was not rude to anyone, and paid in full with a tip, and left in tears. read more

I just had the worst dining experience in my entire life! Please do not ask me for my ID when I am on the verge of 60 years old; I do not care what the corporate policy use some common sense!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a Monday night with only me at the bar and maybe five other tables in the entire restaurant; my fiesta lime chicken had tortilla chips that were pitch black. I asked the server if the food had been microwaved since the plate was too hot to touch and the rice completely dried out also. The reply "that the way it be". I caught the manager who could have cared less although she did ask if I would like some more chips. No, I would like the dish cooked properly to begin with I would have never served a plate that looked and tasted that way. Forget see you tomorrow; I will never set foot in that restaurant again. Terrible, I sat at a booth near the hotel facing the swimming pool. I kept wondering where water was coming from. One of the ladies at my table noticed water dripping from the roof. Ok, I thought to myself just as long as it's not dripping on me I'm fine. I kept noticing water on my side of the table. What do you know, water was dripping right in front of me on the table. I mentioned it to the waitress. Her words, oh yeah we know it's dripping. Why on earth would you sit someone at a table with these conditions!? The food and drinks were bland.. What a waste of money. Glad I'm moving back home to the city soon. SMH...To be right off the interstate is terrible. Beyond terrible service. Our waitress somehow forgot to put in my sons order, then didn't even bring out his order til almost an hour later. We were given the wrong food, even after repeatedly telling them we didn't order that. The manager on shift refused to acknowledge us. He would walk around the entire restaurant talking to people but REFUSED to speak with us. Talk about insulting. We've proceeded to to ask for boxes and the check, it's now been 45 mins and haven't seen either. We will never given our hard earned money to this establishment again. My husband and I decided to have a light dinner. We ended up at Applebee's on Riverside Drive. The waitress was very very inexperienced. When we asked for the manager, it took the manager 15 minutes to acknowledge me!!! I only wanted some cheese for my fajita. The worst experience I have ever had! Just got home from dinning at this location of Applebee's in Macon GA. Me, along with four other college students went to get $1 Margaritas. After waiting for 20 minutes for our waitress to come to our table we ordered drinks. Sometime has passed and we ordered another set of drinks as well as appetizers (a soup and two orders of salsa and chips). We waited ONE HOUR if not more to get our order when the restaurant wasn't even half way full and they had at least 3 waitresses running around. So we got the food, but it was the wrong size (the chips and salsa orders were wrong), so she said she'll be right back with correct size. 30 MINUTES LATER we got out chips and asked for the receipt. She went and stood with her cell phone looking at something in the corner... 20 MINUES LATER (and I'm literally timing at this point) we asked another waitress if she could run our cards. She took them. 10 minutes later our waitress comes back and says my card is denied. So my card had more money on it then I can ever spend on one order of chips and salsa but apparently it charged only 54 cents and said that I have no more funds on it! So she went to run it again! 10 more minutes later... I'm pissed off, my friends are pissed off and she came back and gave us our checks and pens! We arrieved at Applebee's around 9:30pm and left around 12:30... only had 2 Margaritas, one small soup and two orders of chips! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. It was a horrible experience overall. Our server, Steven, could not have cared less about whether we were even getting our food, let alone filling our drinks. When we eventually did get our food, it was cold and was not prepared correctly. I eat at an Applebee's in north Georgia weekly, and when I ordered the exact same food as I normally do, but it tasted bland and overcooked. All in all, this is the worst ever Applebee's that I've been to in my entire life. If you're passing through Macon, don't go to this Applebee's. Recently had lunch at the Riverside Dr location and boy was I impressed. I had to find out what was going on and why this eatery has suddenly become my go to place to eat. Manager condescending and rude. We had a large party and one person ordered a mixed drink that didn't get delivered. We were told another server took it but they don't comp alcohol so no adjustment to the bill for the inconvenience, just a really bad attitude from the manager. I came in at 3:30 with a table of 7. We got seated immediately and waited 15 minutes for drinks. None of the orders were complicated almost everyone had just cheeseburgers except one who had chicken tenders. The 6 with burgers had their food within 45 minutes which is a little long for just burgers!! One hour later everyone is finished their food and the table had been cleared and I(the one with chicken tenders) still had not received my food. I asked for ranch and barbecue and that took another 20 minutes and when I asked for a refill I never even got it... not to mention when I still had not received my food the wait staff was standing there doing nothing. We eat here a couple times a month or so. We like the happy hour specials. The menu is decent, good burgers and ribs. Some servers are stellar and some not so much. Food pretty reliable and pricing reasonable. VERY cleaan. Management needs more .... something. It has a feel of average management. read more

There is a reason why I don't make a point to go to chain restaurants. I was in town overnight. It was late and other restaurants nearby had closed and I just wanted something small. There was no wait and the atmosphere was as you would expect and the place was relatively clean. Server was pleasant enough. I ordered two appetizers -- the cheeseburger egg rolls and the boneless bbq wings. I guess you could ask me "what do you expect"? The egg rolls were a gooey, congealed mess that had the consistency of wallpaper paste. The wings were tasty except that they were swimming in sauce and a huge plate of mess. read more

Waited 15 mins to be sat, while there was 10 plus tables available. The manager just stood around doing nothing while there was two tables right next to him that could have been cleared. He stopped one of the waitresses while she was carrying food to her table and told her to clean the tables stat, and then he just turned and stood and did nothing. Very lazy asshole. I had the four cheese honey glazed chicken Mac n cheese. I've had this at other Applebee's and it was delicious! Cheesy goodness. Not here! Half the noodles were plain, and the other half was under the worst Alfredo sauce I've ever had. It tasted like the noodle water mixed with Alfredo sauce. Plain, nothingness. I thought maybe they had forgotten to add the other cheese or something so I mentioned it to my waiter. She said omg you're absolutely right and took my plate away, she brought it back about 5 mins later with a tiny bit of shredded cheese on the top. The plate was super hot but the food was cold and the cheese was unmelted. She also said "they said it doesn't normally come with cheese on top, but they added it for you". I was like ??? At all the other ones it's got it on it. She said that the four cheese was in the Alfredo sauce. The friend that I was there with had gotten the side of the four cheese Mac and hers had the cheese on it. The waiter couldn't answer why the side came with it but not the entree. I told them how terrible it was and they didn't care. I ate the 3 little chicken tenders out of it and left the rest. I now understand why they have a 1 Star review on here. Oh and our waiter couldn't handle 3 tables... we sat drinkless for over 10 mins after she took our glasses. read more

Probably the worst Applebee's experience I've had. Higher prices than other locations, and easily the worst customer service of the restaurants I've eaten at in Macon! The employees don't wear name tags or the polos; they don't greet you at the door; the bartender makes drinks for the employees ON THE CLOCK. Add that to the fact that I had to send my food back twice. The first time due to the chicken being nearly raw, and the second time due to it being burnt to a crisp! The final straw was finding what looked like spit in my last refilled drink before we left....will NEVER return!!! read more

I placed an order and picked the option to pay in store this was my first time doing this so I walk in and it's about 5 employee just sitting/zeta ding around kept looking down towards me and never came to ask if I needed to be seated or what I was here for so after about 7/8 minutes go by this young man finally comes to assist me and informed me I needed to pay for my curbside pick up at the other end of the restaurant so I did and the young lady who take care of me paying for my order said my food will be out shortly so I left and went to my car now my order said it would be ready at 9:17pm then on the receipt it said 9:18pm ok no worries I waited until 9:40pm watched two cars pull up get they food before me So I called the store this lady name dessala claiming to be the manager (Not the correct spelling of her name) picks up and say their busy and said she would check on my order cutting me off while I'm asking if she could give me something free for the long wait she just had me on hold while finally walking out to my car she comes to my car with food missing and rudely walked away after I asked for her and the young lady that was with her name. I spend $100 in there to be treated like that was uncalled for I'll never eat there again and I'm resorting to other places!!!! They gave me Texas bbq when I asked for honey bbq for both full rack orders they gave a kid side order of cole slaw, my steak was not medium rare, they forgot an order of onion rings and to top it off everyone food was cold yeah pissed off wasn't even the word!!!!! My husband and I ate at Applebee's on Riverside Drive tonight. We stay closest to the Eisenhower location. At first we were upset because we were told that AppleBee's does not honor the military. The manger on Duty came out and spoke with us and made it her specific duty to satisfy us. I ordered a steak off the menu that I was unaware it automatically comes out medium so of course when I received it, I was disgusted. That manager made it her priority to make sure I received a meal I would enjoy. I was so satisfied that I made it my business to call her and thank her for such a nice evening. Like many other reviewers, our experience here was best described as dismal. Taking my elderly parents and sister out for lunch on Fathers Day we had stopped at two other restaurants and found the wait times unacceptable. Arrived at this place and found plenty of parking and immediate seating, which probably should have been a clue to something. We were seated promptly an beverage orders were taken quickly although there was some confusion about the beverage delivery. After our orders were taken our server disappeared for about thirty minutes before reappearing with a second round of beverages. No mention was made of the fact that our food still hadn't arrived. Another 15 or 2o minutes passed before I asked the host (since our server still was nowhere in sight) what the status of our order was. I was told that it was coming out of the kitchen immediately, although no one went to check on whether or not that was the case. The meal appeared about 15 minutes later, followed in another 15 minutes by the two glasses of wine which were ordered to accompany the meal. Our server did apologize and said that the manager would be by to speak with us shortly, but he or she never appeared. When the check was presented, my daughter asked about a possible discount due to the length of time we waited. The server took the check and returned with the entire meal "comped" with the exception of the two glasses of wine. The worst part of the experience was the fact that none of the staff members seemed to think that this sort of service was in any way extraordinary or unusual. Our server kept repeating the phrase "No problem " and it was obvious that neither she nor anyone in management thought that there might be one. My wife and I were on the road and stopped at this Applebee's for a mid-afternoon lunch because we saw it from the freeway. We were greeted by a very friendly host after standing at the reception area for a few minutes. To get right to the point...the overall experience was one that made us decide we won't be back. The waiter was friendly enough but seemed overworked. He was either disorganized or had too many tables to manage. We ordered from the 2 for 20 menu and had the boneless wings which were delivered in the standard basket but without plates. We've had this same item at many other Applebee's and plates are always a part of the presentation. The entree's took about 25-30 minutes. I had ordered coffee with my meal and it didn't make it until I reminded the waiter. The chicken breast was too salty, greasy and overcooked. The riblet basket was not too bad but tasted overly smoky. We overheard the people at the table behind us talking to the manager about a problem with one of their meals and had it taken off the bill. We could see a person sitting at the bar talking to the waiter about their meal that had just been delivered and it was sent back. When our check arrived we had to ask the manager if he could run the bill so we could leave because our waiter had been missing in action. Oh...and the bathrooms were questionable. My wife said the women's room was pretty bad. Men's room was acceptable for men. The overall experience left us feeling like we just wasted an hour and should have eaten at McDonald's. read more
