Two stars I am being kind. Food was horrible I got fish and chips my husband got ribs the fries were either cooked the day before or frozen and refried. They were so hard I have dental issues and couldn't chew them. The fish was probably 1/2 fish and the rest a shell of batter. There was not any seasoning on anything. We had a delicious dinner here. They are running a special with either 2 different burgers or 2 different chicken sandwiches, French fries and a soda for $9.99. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwiches. They were amazing. And we had such a nice efficient waitress named Piper. Very friendly and checked on us several times to make sure our meal was okay. The vibes here were great. The temperature was really perfect. I ordered one of their $5 drink specials and it took a very long time and didn't arrive until the food got here. This wasn't great and I didn't understand the wait. The food I ordered was the pretzel cheese appetizer and the spinach and artichoke dip. The flavors were really good and it came out really fresh. Service from Chelsea bartender was awful. She should not be on a customer service environment. She spent more time talking to other waitresses than working. When I had asked a question about beer types and prices it was like pulling teeth to get a response then when I pointed out she had given me incorrect information, she said nothing and shrugged it off like whatever! Apparently if you make an online order and ask for no blackened shrimp you get no shrimp at all in the meal. When magement was questioned why there was no difference in price when they removed the shrimp (most expensive part of the meal they responded " that's the way it is". The reason I'm going Four Stars on this Applebee's is that it was overall so much better in comparison with the other Applebee's I've been at. I confess I don't general eat at Applebee's as I'm usually able to find better places, but I was on the road, traveling and hungry. I had their bourbon steak which to my surprise came out perfectly as I had ordered, being rare, and actually had a good marinated taste to it. Part of the reason for my surprise was that I have had the same dish before at another Applebee's location and it wasn't nearly as good. The restaurant itself it nicely arranged and has large oval shaped bar with comfortable seating. BEST EVER LOCATION!! This place is happening! Granted not much else is open late at night in this small town, it was filled with fun and nice people at 11pm. People dining, people in the bar, and the best part - Karaoke! I must say that there were several talented performers, and others -- well, they had fun! Very nice service by my server and hostess. I ordered two French onion soups along with my take out dinner from this Applebee's around 9:30 pm. I would normally rate the service and food quality at this Applebee's to be excellent. However, when I went to pick up my dinner and two French onion soups to go, they were very cold as if they were sitting for a while, even though I waited for the soups to be ready. There was a single piece of Swiss cheese thrown on the top of the cold soup, and when I addressed this with an employee, they were not very helpful.
