Among the worst Applebees franchises I've ever been to for sure. The spinach dip was burned on top and served at approx 6000 degrees farenheit. Our boneless wings had zero sauce and looked literally like burnt turds. When the checks came they were wrong, so we asked them to be corrected. This process was repeated three more times until they finally got it right. To top it all off there were human feces on the floor in the men's room and even after making the manager aware of this disgusting situation the poop still remained 45 min later. We ordered over 50 wings every order was brought to our table cold! We were missing 5 orders of fries and artichoke dip. The server never checked on us after we got our food we were never offered any refills on our drinks! A house salad ordered with no tomatoes came out with tomatoes! The worst experience ever!! I've been coming to this place since the day it open. The first few years it was great due to the people behind the bar. It's been about 5 years and still can't get a good draft beer. They waste more beer than they sell. For the first 4 years I ate here 4 nights per week for 45 weeks. Service and food got so bad left and didn't stop for 2 years. Started coming back recently and the beer taps are a joke. Most of the Applebees in WV are poorly run. A company out of Ky owns them. Applebee's in Elkins, WV is definitely a favorite. Every time I go here I'm impressed with the food and staff. I have been to many other Applebee's locations and they do not compare. The CarSide to go is what I use the most and I've never had a bad experience with it, most everyone working CarSide is polite and fast about getting my order out. I will definitely be going back here and I would definitely recommend this location for your next steakhouse visit. read more

Worst Applebees I have ever been to burgers were completely Raw waited for over an hour paid $3.50 for bacon for a burger didn't even get the bacon I asked for mayonnaise for the burgers didn't receive it! Ordered one of the new burgers it was a double stack and it literally look like the patty was broken in half and made into 2 patty's it was just horrible and unbelievable that they would send something out that looked like that! sent the burgers back to be remade waited so long that we had to bag them up and when we got home and went to eat them the one burger completely has a hole in the middle of it and the other one looked like someone literally spit on it it was so slimy that we were afraid to eat it! No discount no nothing spent $50 gave a $10 tip and basically didn't get to eat anything but a side of mashed potatoes that was a side that came with the burger! The Applebee's located in Elkins had terrible service. While we were seated immediately, we waited at least 5 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted drinks. A young man asked us, then a lady asked us. We told her someone already got our drinks, but we'd like an appetizer. She told us then we could just wait for the other server. Very rude staff. I was also charged 75 cents for cheese that came on my burger. They also did not put my lettuce, tomato, or onion on it. Over all terrible service here. read more

Typical Applebee's but in this town not to many restaurants are open late. The service was excellent. The appetizers are 1/2 price after 9 pm. Large groups are easily seated. We had some tasty food, the onion rings, mozzarella sticks, the boneless bbq wings, we're all good. The wifi sucks. The 2 for $20 is a great value. read more

Just ate NYE dinner at Applebee's in Elkins. Did the 2 for $25 and got much more than we were prepared for! Large portions including salads and entrees. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Our server, a young man named Chris, who took care of us in our booth near the bar, was very accessible and thorough. Just an excellent experience for the last night of 2016! So I'm very very upset that the corporation canceled the sizzlin fajitas however the manager was extremely accommodating and bent over backwards to get me what I was looking for and ensure I was satisfied. The worse trip for as special day :Father's Day: I ordered the new Burger on there menu. Time passed and the waitress came and told me they did not have the stuff to make any of the burger. What! They could of came and told us sooner. I had to change what I wanted and was so disappointed that I end up taking it home. Then there were people behind us that came right after we got there and had to ask when there food was getting to them, The waitress said soon we only have two cooks. We have been there for an hour so think of how they felt. They even had everyone wait for them to open up and that hasn't been the first on being late to open. The worst Applebees I've ever been to. We came in for lunch at about 11:30 on a Sunday and upon walking in, the hostess ended her conversation with one of the waiters only to turn to my husband and I as if "how dare you interupt my talk time". Out waitress promptly introduced herself once we were seated and returned with our drinks, which never made it past the half full line the entire time we were there. I ordered a chicken salad, my husband a chicken wrap with fries. My husband made a comment about the salad being $10, which I responded with "their salads are huge, I'll probably need a box". When the salad came out...well...there was nothing $10 about it. It was literally the size of a small side salad my 6 year old would eat. When the waitress returned after serving our meals, I asked for a side of dressing (since there wasn't any...at all!...on the salad) which she informed me it would be "extra"...really? My husbands wrap was ok...about the same caliper as the McDonalds snack wrap, with slightly more lettuce than my salad all together. He had about 11 fries to compliment his wrap, which was served with a sauce that appeared in color to resemble a thousand island...however...I still haven't come to a conclusion as to what exactly it was. It was like nothing I've ever tasted before...and not because it was so good either. All the while we were seated...there were 3 other waiters/waitress' in the bar area, 2 of which were sitting at a high top table, slouched over...or maybe even hung over from the night before, and the third was standing, however draped across one of the girls leaning on top of the table. Their personal conversations continued the entire time we were eating...adding to my frustration of an already ruined lunch. It ended up costing us $24 to eat a "side salad" and a "mc Snackwrap and 1/2 order of a kids fry". I Definately will not be returning!!! And will be sure to spread the word read more
