Stay Away... Used them frequently in 2010-2014 when I was in college. Service was great then. Now, not so much. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I call the night before to make a 6:30 am reservation for a ride to the airport. They take an advance payment and things are ok. I'm sitting impatiently at 6:40 am and there isn't a single word I've heard about this "oh-so-great" cab service. I call them and get told "sorry, we're running behind schedule" (that's an excuse acceptable if you're 2-5 mins late, not 10! That too at 6:30 am). I let it slide since I don't want to ruin the start to my pretty busy work week. 6:50 am There is still no cab! Are you kidding me? I call the cab service again, "it'll be another minute". I'm a little ticked off, so I say "I have a flight to catch to I'm a bi..." The representative HUNG UP! Apple Transportation, let me give you a 101 on customer service, never f#€kin' hang up on your customer! 2 days ago I called Apple Transportation to have my father picked up in Chili as he needed a ride to the train station the following morning. I made is extremely clear that his train left the Rochester Station at 8:36 and he needed to be picked up no later than 7:40 am as he is just a few miles away. I double checked the time and asked the girl to make a note that they had to be there then. At 7:40 the next morning I called to make sure they were there. No Apple taxi. Nor had they called me or my father as they had both numbers. I called Apple at 7:55 am asking them where the cab was. The women stated he was just leaving Greece...meanwhile my father is in Chili. The women explained the roads were bad....BS, we had 4 inches on the ground, and if the roads were bad, you plan accordingly leaving ample time. I explained to the lady there was no excuse for this and someone should have called either me or my father - especially because I made it clear and had her take note the ride was because he had to catch a train at 8:36. The women I was speaking to hung up on me. I tried to use Uber with the set time pick up but it is not here yet. I will never use this cab company again nor would I recommend it - especially if you have to be somewhere at a particular time. Poor services, ask way toooo much questions over the phone. Very rude! Need an attitude adjustment. I gave them my phone number, current address, pick up time, but they ask me some pointless questions like: "What flight are you getting on, what number?" "What time is your flight?" (I gave them the pickup time, if I arrive there late, then thats my fault...) "How many people will be joining you?" "How many baggage do you have?" "Could you sponsor our company to your friends?, all student will get 10% off.." My 1st time with Apple Transportation and it'll be my last time. The price was about $25 with student discount (scam) for a 3 mile trip... but it cost me like $19-$22 (if I take the taxi at the airport...) read more

I had a client that used apple to get from one facility to another (mind you a health care rehab stay to an assisted living facility). The driver would not load the bags or assist the patient; I get it, they're not EMTs or trained but a holding out a hand or opening the door for the person would be nice. Instead, the driver was yelling at nursing staff that he "hasn't gotten his payment" and he's "going to call his bosses". The client was tearful in the backseat because of how rude this driver was. As a last resort, I used Apple Transportation to get to RIT from the airport. My friend was able to drop me off, but I was in need of a ride back. They charge $25 for the 3 mile trip. It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me, but the regular taxis are no better and it was cheaper than leaving my car at the airport for two days. I made an appointment the morning of my flight. The booking process was fast and easy. Many RIT students use apple because they take Tiger Bucks (campus credit sort of thing), which was one of my deciding factors. Once my flight arrived, I received a text from their dispatch saying they will be late because the person that booked my flight didn't take my flight info. I waited 30 minutes until my car arrived. During those 30 minutes, I received no text back about how long I had to wait. They charge your card the flat rate when you book so I was unable to cancel and take a regular taxi. Overall, if they would have communicated with me better, I wouldn't have minded the wait as much. They should be calling their customers, not texting them. My driver was very friendly and forgiving though. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. This is my first review, and felt strongly enough against Apple to write this. I requested a taxi 3 days in advance for my airport trip. When morning arrived no taxi arrived and when I called Apple they were unable to track my trip. 4 phone calls, 20 minutes on hold and being hung up on they finally reimbursed me but refused to reimburse me for expensive airport parking that I was trying to avoid by calling a cab in the first place. Customer service was very defensive and would only offer 15 dollar ride coupon. Does not make sense to use a coupon on an unreliable service. Expensive and horrible service. The last time I used their taxi service was years ago, and I still feel the urge to write a review as I can still recall the anger and frustration they caused. I used my debit card to pay the trip (a mistake of mine, indeed), and they charged me $3,000 instead of $30 in a mistake. I understand that people could make mistakes so I contacted them. Then it took them almost a week to send my money back. They even kindly subtracted the wire transfer fee from it so somehow I ended up with paying full price for their mistakes. The fee was relatively small so I didn't bother to spend another hour calling and waiting for them, but this was indicating how less did they care about their customers. I used Apple transportation yesterday for the first time and my experience was horrible. First of all, the car was extremely dirty from head to toe I felt disgusted sitting in it. It was caked with dirt I was honestly so surprised. When I went to put my seatbelt on the part where you click it in was broken. The woman immediately started driving as I was struggling to put it on. Then, the whole ride there she was falling asleep and nodding off while driving! She would slow and speed up as she was nodding off. Also, at red lights she would switch between directions and look at her tinder. I was so scared for my life and just wanted to get out. And not to mention she was also 15 minutes late picking me up. I'm not sure if this is typical of them but based on the reviews it seems to be. Not a good first impression of this service. read more

Horrible service and the despatch was rude and ill-behaved. I booked a cab last night for 6:45am today. That gave me more than an hour to go to the airport. At 6:55am today I called up because there was no cab in sight. The despatch tells me that I was "misinformed," that there are no cabs available at that time of the day, and I should have got a cab with two hours to spare. So not only was I not getting a cab, but the despatch had the audacity to lecture me!! Thankfully, I was able to get another cab and make my flight. Never again! Worst service you'll ever deal with! They are consistently late and very rude. I'm a student at RIT and since I don't have a car I've been at their mercy for years. Whenever I call I always get this old lady on the phone who is a complete b**** to me every time. They have zero concern for customer satisfaction, and only care about scamming you out of $25 for a 3 mile drive from campus to the airport. Also, they have stopped taking RIT TigerBucks as payment, which was the last shred of appeal they had going for them. Hope they go bankrupt and RIT partners up with a better taxi service fast. read more

DO NOT USE APPLE! You will regret the decision. They have no real sense on how to run a cab company and the only thing that keeps them in business is the abundance of college students in the area that require trips to the airport. I needed a ride to the airport for a long weekend trip and I set my ride up a week in advance on the website. I was a little put off by the price as I live fairly close to the airport. I didn't really have a choice in the matter so I sucked it up. The morning of my flight, the cab didn't show up. I called and was told that it would be there soon as it needed to pick some more people up first. This was when they were already 15 minutes late. The car was 35 minutes late when he finally did arrive and he almost drove away in the time it took me to walk out my door and lock my house. I'm sorry I wasn't willing to wait outside for over half an hour in freezing temperatures. We finally got to the airport and then I'm held up again because the driver said his sheet didn't say that I had already paid, which I had. So I have to wait even longer while the security line at the airport gets longer and my flights creeps even closer. By the time I was let go, got checked in and through security, I made my flight with thirty seconds to spare. My travels were made that much more stressful by the refusal of Apple to be punctual and keep their commitments. I would never recommend them. i danny lowe was riding in apple transportation cab 137 on wednesday january 30 2019 late afternoon early evening and every time i ride with this cab he always does something to make me uncomfortable riding with him and i believe as a driver which you are getting paid to do you should concentrate on your driving and quit doing all of that silly and stupid stuff like scratching on your hair scratching in your back area and driving off the road he trying to be so funny until it really stupid if he that nasty and funky than he should quit driving because nobody and i repeat nobody want to ride with a driver that always playing with himself and running of the road i made a complaint on this driver before and they said they wasn't going to send him to pick me up nomore i know what happen they will wait for a big spell and then send him to pick me up so they are only telling me one thing it time to switch company. read more

Theses people who put up good reviews works for the company , there not right. First off I get a request a ride to cash my check 1mile from my home they pull up late and ask for 15.00 upfront!! I've taken this service once before and never paid 15.00 upfront. Second of all they put me out them charged my insurance which rejected payment due to my ride not taking place. They argued and lied they gave me a ride and never did!! Also they tried to charge my insurance 80.00 for a one way ride ??? apple transportation was good when i first start using it but lately, it been very very bad i am talking about the times it take the drivers to pick you up to take you to your appointments as a client i know better hearing the drivers talk it do not be there fault so we as client should quit blaming the drivers and put the blame where it should be on the dispatcher they be putting the drivers in the middle of clients confrontation and the reason why people be late to there appointment is because the dispatcher or whoever it maybe will send a driver way across town to pick you up when they can send another driver who is much closer to pick you up i have been putting up with that bull stuff for so long and on monday february 24 2020 it hit the boiling point i had an appointment schedule for 11:00 am and the driver say he did not get the call to come and get me until 10:50 am and did not arrive at my place until 11:30 am so i had to reschedule my appointment it was a cardiology appointment dealing with my heart so i got to be the smart man they used to be dependable but not anymore some client might think it the driver fault but i know better it the ones who giving the drivers the jobs and i understand that they have to add more medical transportation so therefore when they pull that bull stuff they are basic telling you you need to change. and if they had a rating lower than 1 that would be my rating but unfortunable we must stick by the book so i give them a 1 rating read more

It took over 8 rings for them to answer the phone at 9:45PM on a Saturday night. Understandable, it's Saturday night. I had already created an account, but since I wanted transportation tonight I could not do it online, hence the phone call. I spoke to the young man on the phone, who stated that it would be 30 - 45 minutes before he could get me a car. OK, fine, requested 1 for 10:30, and continued to get ready. 10:30 came and went. At 10:45 I decided to call and see where my car was, and as the 10th ring was ringing, the car pulled up. I had a very nice, polite driver, tho not very familiar with the city, and did eventually end up at my destination. Paid him with a small ($5.00) tip, and he questioned what I had given him. I explained that they had quoted me a certain fee, and the rest was his tip, this did seem to sink in after a short time. On my return trip from the same place to the same place, I called a regular cab company, and even with a LARGE TIP, it cost me LESS to return home. I may use this service in the future, but it won't be for a trip that a regular cab company would charge me less for. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with one of their drivers and the woman answering phones. After an appointment a call was made for them to pick me up. I was told that it was going to take 30 minutes. I called back 40 minutes later and was told that there was a hold up of some sort. I called again and the supervisor yelled in my ear and told me to be patient. I couldn't get a word in with her edgewise and she hung up the phone. She was unprofessional and a complete b****! Then the cab shows up 1 hour and 45 minutes after making the first call. If you do the math, that's a total of 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES LATE! And on top of that the driver almost leaves as I'm yelling out for him to get my attention. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. They'll give you an ulcer. read more

One of the drivers from this company hit my car when he ran a red light. I wouldn't feel comfortable riding with someone who would run a red light. They have been avoiding my calls on the issue and have refused to accept responsibility for the inconvenience they caused me and damage they caused to my car that resulted in a total loss. My daughter is a student at RIT/NTID. She needed a ride to the airport yesterday and contacted apple and booked with no issue. She texted me at 401 stating the cab was not there yet...for a 6.00 a.m. flight. Knowing it's just a few minutes a way, I told her to sit tight (she is deaf and it was quicker for me to call than for her to go to videophone). I called at 415 and they said a cab was on the way, that a lot of students were being picked up. I called at 430 and they said the cab was being her building. 445 I called and they had cleared a bunch of students by accident. They had also provided specific cab numbers that she would be getting on. No cab was "behind her building" as she has a little creek behind it!. The cab did NOT pick her up until 520 for a 6 a.m. flight! She was the last person on her flight, but her bag didn't make it. Thankfully Southwest Airline said they will ship us the bag, free of charge. Bottom line, this service sucks. read more

Don't return phone calls, if you cancel due to illness or therapy is done they still show up! Taxi was incredibly late to pick up my friend and I from the side of the road where the Megabus stop is in Rochester. I called three times and every time they just said they would "be there shortly." I asked for clarification on what 'shortly' was and I got a consistent answer of "5-10 minutes." They ended up arriving 20 minutes after my third call. According to some of my friends, I should be grateful to get an Apple taxi that was *ONLY* an hour late. Also, my friend, when calling to book the taxi, specified that there would be two people; the person on the phone said the rate would be the same, but the driver tried to charge us extra. read more
