I initially came in September 2021 due to my laptop's overheating. After applying thermal paste, my…read morelaptop worked for a while before beginning to give me messages such as "USB device not recognized" despite the fact I had not inserted anything into the port. Additionally, my laptop began to occasionally freeze. For several months this problem would recur, and though I returned to PC Support they were unable to identify the issue. Months later, they reached out to me saying they had fixed a similar issue with another laptop. It turned out to be a problem with the GPU. I brought my laptop over and the problem was fixed within two weeks. The team was very persistent in helping me these past few months.

Really the only good thing about having a computer break while you're working is making a new…read moreconnection with a smart company that will fix your computer THAT DAY, for a very reasonable price. KSK is really the best computer repair experience I've had in 35 years. Extremely easy to work with and super knowledgeable. I even got pick up and delivery. Magic! BestBuy and most others quoted me 3-4 weeks to replace a power supply at nearly the cost of a new machine. I called 10 places and got the Quebec run-around (arrogant, frustrating attitudes, maybe we can fix it maybe not!) - calls that inspired zero confidence. I got KSK on the phone and there was a can-do tone of expertise and when I argued with him ( I was wrong ), he was patient and heard me out. He also made some recommendations about upgrades that would boost performance - but didn't push or up sell - he was just being thorough. While I simply needed my PC fixed, power supply and memory replaced - Im pretty sure KSK could install and maintain an IT set up for a 1000 employee office and build a super computer. Just call this guy. You'll be happy.

I've availed myself of KSKs services a couple of times. One of those times I had a bios chip that…read morehad failed on my motherboard. Sadly the other components of my system would not fit well with the motherboards that could easily be acquired in a timely manner. I was looking at a repair that would take possibly weeks, this for a critically important computer. KSK instead replaced the bios chip on the motherboard. And it cost me a lot less than it would have cost to replace the motherboard! Good luck finding a tech who can and would do that at most other places. Not only that, but both times I have called him with a downed system, he has picked it up within hours, and delivered it fully functional either the same day or the next! Do expect to pay a couple hundred for the job, or more if it requires replacing hardware, etc., but he is definitely worth it, especially with pickup and delivery, and I expect likely not more expensive than most other places that won't give you anywhere near the same level of service.

I understand that these places are usually boring anyway, but this one was just dead. I feel like they could've livened the place up at little. I went in looking for a specific iPad model and they didn't have it in stock. They did tell us where we could find it but that was about it when it came to customer service at this chain. The only reason it's a 3 stars is because I wasn't expecting much to begin with so its not like I was disappointed. Overall a very forgettable experience and a very boring one. The Best Buy downtown is more fun.
