    We visited Disney World in Orlando, we had to rent a scooter for our visit. I was a little nervous because of the "unhappy" reviews. Well, after my experience I realized that they were only that "unhappy" reviews. I was very pleased with the Apple's service. I was staying at a Marriott, but Marriott made a reservation with the wrong location. When they called me to confirm the scooter drop off I informed them of the issue that I was having with the location. Immediately they told me not to worry and they drove to the new address that I provided. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the young man that delivered the scooter. He was prompt, courteous and in a minute he instructed me on how to disassemble the scooter. I was very pleased with that, it was became very helpful later on. Now, this are not new scooters, there's a crack here and there, it could have better maintenance but the services compensates the cosmetic parts. Overall, I was happy to have a scooter on a holiday weekend and on a short notice. The scooter itself was easy to disassemble and it fit in my car's trunk. Yes, it is a little tricky and a little heavy, but ITS AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER, it's expected. The battery lasts for about three full "working" hours. It will depend on the weight of the person, speed and going on hills (there's plenty of them at Epcot). Make sure you turn it off every time you stop and remove the keys. I suggest you keep your eyes open and try to connect it and charge whenever you can, i.e. when you're getting on a ride, eating or resting. You'll find outlets around the parks, looks by light poles, behind doors, or eateries. Usually employees are not helpful, just do your magic lol

    Super great company to work with. They deliver right to your resort and pick it up too. The scooter was easy to use and made our trip!

    If there is a problem with the scooter, can apple scooter enter the park in order to change it out?

    Yes. My scooter broke down in Epcot and Apple Scooter was there with a fully charged replacement in 45 minutes. Great customer service. Highly recommend them!

    Update: I want to revise my review because of the excellent customer service I received. I got a…read morephone call from Konni as soon as she found out there was an issue with the second scooter. She apologized and allowed me to express my concerns without argument. She gave truly great customer care and told me a third scooter had already been pulled from the wharehouse and was on the way. Apparently the second one was just whatever the guy had on the truck. Being a holiday weekend, I am so appreciative of her going the extra mile as I know they must be swamped. The new scooter is perfect and runs much better than the others. Idefinitely recommend this company. They have done right by me and I am grateful for not getting the brush off. Initial review below: Rented a Maxima scooter for today 9/1-9/4 . I am about 140 lbs below the limit so this ecv should handle me fine, but the one waiting for me at Shades of Green was so squeaky and loud it was giving me a headache. Called and customer service was very nice and sent someone right away. The gentlemen came with a new scooter within an hour, and everyone was so pleasant I wish I could leave a good review, but I can't. I showed the employee what was going on and how noisy the first one was, and he literally said to me that "A lot of them do that." I rent a scooter every time I come to Walt Disney World, and I come every other month. Never have I had one make any noises like this. I told him I would be returning the second scooter if it made noise too, but when I drove it I had no issues. Until I rounded the corner and of course, squeaky loud noises coming from the left rear wheel drive area (the first one has same issue but coming from rear right area) The scooter itself has seen better days and chunks are cut out of the wheels, I'm not sure what the issue is exactly , but I just finished driving 13 hours and I'm too exhausted to do anything other than drive this thing for the next few days. Its a shame really because everyone I have talked to there is kind, like I said I would love to recommend this place. But I can't, and I won't rent from them again.

Whenever I had a problem, it was addressed immediately and taken care of quickly. I rented a scooter from Thu 11/14/2024 - Mon 11/18/2024 for my trip to WDW. It was the worst experience I have received from Big Orange Mobility or any other scooter service. The scooter shut off while going up the ramp in Space Mountain. If you know the ramps at Space Mountain, you can understand how difficult it was for my daughter, who has arthritis in her hands, to push this machine up the ramp. After the ride I called the Big Orange Mobility. I was told by Nathalie Durand, that the scooter was a new scooter and that when going up a hill, it sometimes will shut down. Really, a "new scooter" that will shut down going up a ramp!! I was insulted that she would believe I was uneducated enough to swallow this bogus excuse. I was then told to push a button located on the battery to restart it. We had to do that in excess of five times while leaving this ride to get it to maneuver up the ramps. It's very inconvenient. It stopped abruptly, causing everyone behind me to run into each other. The battery drained so much after a full charge. I called around 4pm that same day and was told there was not another scooter available. I was met with the confused Nathalie, who stated it was a new scooter, and she could not understand why this was happening. The scooter mimicked the same problem the following day when going up the ramp for the Flight of Passage ride. Thankfully it was a short trip. I knew I would NEVER use Big Orange Mobility again. I don't know if they are under new management, but I have never spoken with Nathalie in my previous rentals. The previous individuals would have handled the situation quickly and would not have insulted my intelligence with such nonsense excuses. Admit your product is defective, take ownership, and make it right!! Big Orange Mobility failed to do this. I took pictures and a video of the scooter. It was scratched and used, and it was unreal. So, to say it was a new scooter was completely false. I was extremely disappointed in Big Orange Mobility. You lost what could have been a long-term customer. Kendra

    Please, be careful with online reservations! The website will allow you to select a date and time…read morefor your reservation, and then send an email confirming - but they're only confirming the REQUEST, not the reservation. The email says that they'll call you to finalize and collect payment. When I called the next day to confirm, they didn't have any scooters available for the date and time I'd chosen! The website did say to call and not use the online form if the desired rental was less than 48 hours away, but this didn't apply in my case. The website/ follow-up email needs to be much clearer that you're not making a reservation, just requesting a potential date and time that you might like to have a reservation. It looked very much like I had successfully reserved a scooter, but it turns out I hadn't. They were very polite and apologetic, and gave me some numbers of other places to rent scooters, one of which (Best Price) was able to help. Thank goodness!

The price was good but reading over the reviews for Yellow Scooter gave me pause. Since it was only for three days I decided to take my chances. They delivered the scooter to my resort after messaging me trying to come later than originally scheduled. We compromised on a time. Upon delivery the scooter looked nothing like the one pictured on-line. It was rather beat up and the tires had seen better days. The delivery was very rushed with the delivery man not explaining anything. The scooter was fully charged which was good and it seemed to work fine. The next morning when I went to turn the scooter on the key snapped off! I was panicked until I realized I could still turn it on so rather than go through the hassle of getting a new one, we just went to the park. The scooter held a charge great the first day and a little less so the next day. When we turned it in we told them about the key and the delivery man didn't really comment. A few days later I got an email that they were charging me an extra $50 fir damage snd key removal. I guess I should have pulled it out myself. Whatever, I'll never use them again.
