I had a very disappointing experience today at the Apple Store Opéra.
The store manager, Franck, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was purchasing an iPhone costing over €1,700, which is a significant amount where I come from. When the box presented to me was not in impeccable condition, I politely asked if another box could be provided.
My request was immediately refused. I was then told, "Either you buy this box or I call security," followed by "I'm the boss of this store, so I decide what customers can buy."
I was shocked and deeply uncomfortable with this attitude.
I contacted Apple Support right away to report this experience. They apologized and mentioned they had already received multiple complaints regarding this specific store.
I chose not to proceed with my purchase at Opéra and instead went to the Apple Store on Champs-Élysées, where the difference was night and day--warm welcome, professionalism, and flexibility regarding product presentation.
This kind of behavior is completely contrary to what Apple stands for. A store manager should represent the brand's values, not damage them. read more
