You caused me severe nerve damage from my chin to my lip with radiating, throbbing, pulsing pumping pain and more. You said "it could take up to a year to heal". You lied and now you have to tell your patients it could take over 2 1/2 years for a botched tooth extraction. The pain is excruciating 24/7. Your consent form should read if you have a tooth extraction by Dr. Joo kim it could take up to 3 years for your nerve damage to heal, More than once you never returned my call saying you were to busy and would call the next day. The sad part is that you are not my regular dentist and I trusted you to successfully extract my tooth without any damage. I have evidence based data that it can take over 2 1/2 years for nerve damage to resolve. I contacted the BBB to report you. When my nerve damage is finally healed I will write my final review and contact the ADA with my data results. I will remove this post in 942 days.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Dr, Kim. He initially hooked me up to sweet air which may me feel comfortable. During the surgery, I barely felt anything and stayed comfortable. What was scheduled for around 4 hours only took around 2 hours. At no time, did I feel any pain. Dr. Kim was so gentle and made me feel relaxed. After the surgery and for the following week, I did not feel any pain. I did taken Motrin and Tylenol for the first two days but was able to stop since there was no reason to continue to take these pain killers. I also continued to enjoy a good night sleep even the night of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Kim - there is no need to be nervous with him since he is so good.

She calmed me down, answered all my questions, and was extremely knowledgeable as she has been with Dr. Hasday for 30 plus years. Dr. Hasday who is himself an Ivy Leager (I saw on his diploma) is incredibly intelligent, caring, TALENTED, and quick. Believe me, this is the man you want working on your mouth. He is very easy to talk with, and makes that all important human connection that is rare with Dr's today in my opinion. It is very very rare you find a Dr. who has both amazing skill, and bedside manner. I had a failed root canal, one of the roots was cracked, and an infection. Dr. Hasday extracted the tooth, and placed an implant. I felt no pain. He even gives a good needle (as you need to be numbed with all dental work). I learned of Dr. Hasday from my dentist and friend Dr. Funk who recommended my wife have an implant the previous year. She had hers done in Dr. Hasday's Massapequa office with fantastic results. I had mine done in his Rockville Centre Office Dental Implants & Periodontology of Rockville Centre. The worst part of this experience for me was the night before as I did not know what to expect, even though I had taken my wife for her procedure a year earlier. I am writing this review 26 hours after the procedure, and am already feeling fantastic. I had some minor throbbing afterwards, which an Advil took care of. That was it. *** Also Dr. Hasday will get back to you with any questions or concerns promptly. He is the complete package, which is why it was easy to give Dr. Hasday a 5 star review. I wish I could have given him a bonus star. Thank you Denise, Theresa, and the entire office staff. Runs like a well oiled machine. The office in Rockville Centre is new, a one story beautiful modern building, with its own parking facility with additional street parking. Thank you Dr. Hasday.

My own dentist, Dr…read more Palumbo (also 5 stars!) recommended that I schedule a consultation with Dr. Levine when he observed accelerated gum loss in this area approximately 3 years ago. As a person who has had many negative experiences during dental procedures, I put off scheduling the consultation. When the condition progressed to a point that put me at risk for tooth loss, I finally scheduled the appointment with Dr. Lois Levine. During the consultation, Dr. Levine explained the status of my condition, showing me the amount of soft tissue still remaining and where the bone line begins - the two were alarmingly close. She explained the soft tissue grafting procedure to me in plain, but detailed, terms - so I knew exactly what to anticipate. I scheduled the appointment and had the procedure performed shortly thereafter. The procedure was completely painless - thanks to the thorough job Dr. Levine did anesthetizing the area where the tissue was grafted and the area where tissue would be taken from. Recovery was surprisingly quick with very little discomfort. The final results are fantastic and now that it's done - I wouldn't delay in having work done in the future if necessary. In addition to the care provided by Dr. Levine, I must commend her staff for the exceptional service oriented approach they take in every interaction with patients. Every single person I dealt with in Dr. Levine's office was respectful and considerate of my time. Appointments followed the scheduled time; I was taken into the office and seen by Dr. Levine immediately at the appointed time. My husband and I are retiring to Florida in January 2020 and I will absolutely travel back to Wantagh NY if I need to have any periodontal work in the future. Dr. Levine is THAT good!!

I first went to see Dr. Ienna about a year ago when my dentist recommended him for a gum graft procedure due to a severely receding gum line on a couple of teeth. Dr. Ienna agreed with my dentist and recommended the gum graft procedure be done sooner than later. I had to delay the procedure for a few months due to other reasons but finally scheduled to get it done in December. Although a gum graft isn't the greatest procedure in the world, I don't think I could have had a better periodontist for the job. Dr. Ienna not only has an incredible surgical hand but also fantastic bedside manner. I was awake for the entire surgery (2 hours including the numbing process), but Dr. Ienna was constantly checking in to ask for a thumbs up if everything was ok. The nurse who worked with him on the procedure was also really warm, professional, and reassuring (she had the procedure done twice herself and was able to answer every question I had for her). The real kicker? Not only did he give out his cell number for emergencies, but he also called me from that cell number later that evening and left a very kind voicemail to make sure everything was ok and to remind me of a few important post-op instructions. With it now being a little over a month after the procedure, I've had 3 additional checkups with Dr. Ienna and I can honestly say that the results have been worth the surgery and the post-op discomfort (about 4 days of soreness and 2-3 weeks of adjusted lifestyle). The gum line looks brand new!! Dr. Ienna did a remarkable job and the results have completely exceeded my expectations. Aside from Dr. Ienna himself, his entire staff (especially the nurses) is incredibly warm (except for one receptionist who really doesn't seem to like her job much). The waiting area is small but comfortable, and the procedure rooms are the same. They also have a TV in each room, which is a nice distraction during surgery (although I was ironically watching Food Network... looking at all the things I knew I wouldn't be able to eat for a few weeks). Bottom line? Periodontal surgery isn't fun, but if I ever need it again, I'm absolutely returning to Dr. Ienna. Thank you so much for your amazing work and, just as importantly, how much you care about your patients!

There is a comfortable waiting area that seats 8 people. The exam rooms are well lit, clean, smell lovely and all have TV's in them, which is a nice amenity to have while some one is digging around in your mouth for an hour or two. Dr Ienna himself, is very intelligent and has a vast working knowledge of dentistry and periodontics. He is gentle, precise and keeps the lines of communication wide open. During my gum graft surgery, he would talk to me through the procedure, constantly asking me if I was okay. He has a great surgical hand and I would recommend him to anyone whom needs periodontic work.
