Several years ago seems like 2018 or so I was looking at memory sticks on line for my computer and found some in stock for $29 at one place on line but did not look anymore Right off I thought, well Apollo computers is right next door i will just give them my business and keep the money local even if they sell that chip for $40 And so I stopped by the store with the memory chip in hand so they would not get them mixed up and could get the right one Kid at the desk took the memory stick in the back to ask about parts availability and thought, yep they probably have one then kid returned saying the tech said that chip is obsolete and suggested I look at one of their new computers that do not have obsolete chips in them and buy one of them LMAO Explained to him how I had already looked it up on line and can get that memory stick and kid actually told me, Nope not that one as it is not available and shows obsolete on line (in short called me a liar LOL) at which time I went home looked again and found Walmart sells the memory stick I needed So drove over to Walmart and there was the memory stick I was looking for on one of there shelves in the electronics department for $18 much cheaper than I thought it would be So my first and last impression of them was, they have a kid at the front desk and a tech in the back who are obviously clueless so they tell bold face lies to try to cover that fact up while thinking all customers are just as stupid as they are no doubt All that kid really told me is they are shysters that are in business to rip people off and nothing more and after reading the Amy H review i'm damn glad I know how to fix computers as I sure would hate to depend on the obvious crooks like them to fix anything By the way I have been building and programming my own computers since 1994 so Apollo should think twice about hiring obvious rip off shysters with no clue telling people like me obvious bold face lies as that is not good for any business that I know of read more

Folks, there is a reason for the bad reviews. Don't be a fool like me and actually heed the advice. Whatever they quote can easily be doubled, whatever time frame agreed upon will not be met, and whatever your standard is for good work it should be higher than what they can possibly provide. Believe me, it is quite far to the next place that can repair an iPhone screen or help you with a computer, however, would it not be wiser to go somewhere else that doesn't end up costing you more money than when you started? Of course it does. Go somewhere else. They are terrible. What's absolutely hilarious is how they have been repeatedly awarded with the 'best of brownwood' plaques for their specific services. It's pathetic that brownwood would give awards to businesses that have no competition. If a 16 year old opened an iphone repair shop in front of chilfila they could quite easily put this absurd excuse for a repair shop out of business. Hurry in to see laziness on display! read more

I dropped my iPhone and of course the screen shattered into millions of pieces. I took my iPhone 6 into the store and an hour and a half later I had a brand new screen and my phone appeared to be new condition. Top-notch folks and top-notch service. Highly recommended!!! read more

This is a great company to other companies in the DFW area and Best Buy computer geeks scrutinize grandson's computer app overcharged me and still did not fix it. Brought it to these guys and for very little money they fixed it completely headed up and running in no time I highly recommend him I will be back. read more

Employee Chad seems like a creep. Multiples times asked for my computers password when it wasn't needed for him to fix my specific issue. Not to mention overpriced, charged me $70 something just to turn my laptop on because I refused further diagnostics. UPDATE: Yeah thanks for the response. I'm no Bill Gates but I'm not tech stupid. Since writing this review I've had to repeat this process and replace the battery myself. "Taking it apart" is literally just unscrewing the back and removing the battery but thanks for insisting that's worth $70, or even $45, thanks, of my time. About the two (2) keys that were replaced, a whopping $10 a piece, nice. My first attempt at using a computer was with an Intel system and was a total failure due to complexity of operation. I sent the computer back. My first Apple was an Apple II after I tried one during lunch break at Hughes Aircraft near LAX about 40 years ago. The old Motorola chip was so intuitive I didn't need instructions and have been a Mac user ever since. I currently use 2010 MacBooks, with four of them at different locations, so I'm no stranger to computers. Hands down Apollo has given the best Mac service of all I've tried, and that includes the cutesy, wonky one in Austin, TX with the stupid "genius bar," which I utterly hate. Chad at Apollo is a great guy and knows what he's doing. He's first rate with technical matters and always gives customers a break when he can. Early, TX, is an hour's drive from the small west Texas town where I live and work. I prefer Apollo to the larger service centers in Austin or Abilene, mainly because of Apollo's expertise, friendliness, and technical capability. I always ask for Chad when my laptop needs servicing because I know he's highly competent and will also treat me right. read more

My boyfriend used them a few times and they are terrible. I'm pretty sure he had been swindled by them multiple times because he admitted that every time he used them before their service was unacceptable. They seem polite enough to a point. My boyfriend does music (he has a studio that he made in his house), and his computer was not running fast enough for him to make music. We went back and forth with them and they tired to get offended and mad at us for us just trying to get them to do right. Not only are they slow as hell. They would always keep our computers for well over a month (usually 6 to 8 weeks) when it should not take but a few days or a few weeks at best to fix. They would grossly overcharge as well. And I'm pretty sure (at least according to my boyfriend) they would charge us for things that either didn't really need to be fixed or it did and they would either not fix it or use a used part (and charge for a brand new one). I know personally I had had problems with my WiFi connection being accidentally deleted off so they needed to re upload the WiFi connection servers back on and I asked for my computer to be checked for viruses, and my computer mouse was always back-tracking and deleting things I would type. Anyway, when I got my computer back they had done nothing to it. The computer still lacked the ability to connect to WIFI, and it still did not have a way for me to type up documents (like with Microsoft Word or Open Office or whatever since it accidentally got deleted too), and it still had the other small problems too. My boyfriend said that his computer was not really running like he felt it should and he felt that they charged him $500 and they fixed nothing or at least not what they said they fixed. Anyway, we went back and forth with them on the phone and in person. They took mine back and put some free virus protection on it, uploaded the ability to connect to WIFI, put a free Open Office on it, and they fixed the back-tracking cursor. They didn't charge extra for it, since they had charged him $500 my few minor problems and to fix his computer and replace this other part that supposedly (according to my boyfriend) this part was under $100 or not over $150 or something like that. Anyway, I don't recall when my computer finally got done. I know it was probably in April or May. I was without my computer for the better part of like 3 or 4 months and so was my boyfriend. He had finally gotten them to agree to fix what they didn't fix on his for free. Well, it took another long period of time (a few weeks or a month, where I had to let my boyfriend use my computer for his music stuff). They finally said that his computer was done and so was mine (we had to send back mine too).He or I had spoke to someone about his computer not running well and they offered to upgrade it and put another driver on it or something. Anyway, at first they said it wouldn't cost, but then they told James (and they agreed on) $100 (although he felt because of all the bs and time and money that it should really be free). So, I went to pick ours up and I expected it to only be no more than $100, but they said it was going to be another $232. He did not have $232 left on his card, he only had maybe $150 because he was between paydays. To make a very long convoluted story short, he has never picked up his computer even though they called him multiple times because he feels like they gouged him and was not honest with him. Now months later, my computer is running super slow and I feel like it has a virus or needs to be looked at again. I have no idea what to do. When you use any company, please be careful. Check all of their ratings on Google, Bing, or any other site to see how they do business. It may help if you know what is wrong with your computer and about how much it would cost plus the hourly service rate so you aren't easily taken advantage of. read more

They did fix the problem but caused multiple more i took my sister iphone in then they cracked the screen and broke the home button took my labtop in and they download some software onto my computer so now it dosent run as good then I took my iphone in they fixed it but broke the head phone jack I guess they do this to make customers come back but I would not take anything there again there also super expensive read more

The Authorized Apple service I had used in San Angelo, Texas, closed but I found Apollo in Early, a suburb of Brownwood. They have always treated me fairly, especially Chad, who was always willing to go the extra mile, sometimes helping me over the phone on a quick-fix to save me a 100 mile round trip from Brady. I've found them knowledgeable, their fees reasonable, and gladly pay their service charges. I'd recommend them without hesitation for hardware repair, modification, or finding and fixing software glitches. Needless to say, I'm a loyal customer and don't hesitate to recommend Apollo to others. read more
