People shouldnt recommend this clinic at all. Do not put your health on a business only interested in selling you medicine - a serious clinic is made of Real Doctors that care about their patients. Have been a client of this clinic for 5 years. Today Dr. Singh cancelled my appointment for telephone renewal for the second time in two weeks (less than two-hours notice each time). Dr. Singh is clearly unreliable, so I've booked an appointment with NamasteMD for later today. Would NEVER recommend this so called clinic. ** Don't know why the site shows me as from San Fransisco. I am from Toronto, ON, CANADA & this review is about the Apollo Clinic in North York** I waited a long time for my video call appointment, filling out beforehand long forms about my medical history (Keeping my fingers crossed, it will be kept safe and protected, but who knows)! Right from the first phone call, a woman sounded very disinterested in your needs. She put me on hold several times!! without any apology for taking so long! On the day of the scheduled appointment, someone called me over the phone instead through a video link. Seems like reading from a list, the man provided me with the general info about the medical cannabis and its components. NO questions about the nature or severity of my pain! And naive me, I was waiting for this call with a big hope! To my astonishment, after reading his blurb, he said that a counselor would call me tomorrow! No one mentioned to me about this process before hand. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!!! I consider such people as UNprofessional, NOT medical staff, but money makers. They use OHIP as a hook to charge them for nothing. The information I was given was NOT new to me, and could have been retrieved very easily by anyone from the internet! With various conditions, like Bipolar Affective Disorder, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, and diabetic neuropathy, I've suffered with body pain and anxiety for years now (65 years old, male), and was taking Tramacet and Robaxacet, as well as various psychotropic meds Like Zopiclone, and Lithium. I switched to medical marijuana a few weeks ago as an alternative to opiods and nsaids (Tylenil, Aspirin, etc.). The whole process was very thorough and professional. The clinic is run very professionally. You are guided through the process and in the end, if you qualify, a license to purchase the drug is provided with a link to a distributor. I am still trying to find the optimum dosage to control the aches and pains, but the whole process is going as expected. Very smoothly. I would highly recommend Apollo Cannabis Clinic, if you are looking for a legal medical marijuana clinic. The doctors and support staff really help to educate you and minimize your worries and concerns. The daytime marijuana (yellow) does not affect me so I'm not "high", but is supposed to reduce anxiety. The nightime version with a little THC (blue) helps me sleep better, so I'm not bothered by the pains and discomfort, as much. I am using the oil and gel-caps, which you ingest orally. Initial booking was fast and I was speaking with a doctor within 30 minutes of my scheduled appointment. This was just fine as it took about twenty minutes to fill out preliminary documentation and provide a sample. Be sure to bring documentation to support your diagnosis. The Dr did not technically assess me but assessed the diagnosis of my primary care physician to determine if I was a candidate for a prescription. But the Apollo doctor did speak with me at some length and was happy to answer any questions. I have an extremely high knowledgebase of cannabis and in my opinion it far surpassed the knowledge of any of the clinicians but I can attest to the fact that the information they did have was correct. Just don't expect a lengthy dialogue on specific strains or other technical issues. It sort of comes down to Sativa. Indica or Hybrid for them. I was on my way with a script in hand within 75 minutes and the fee was about 40 bucks as opposed to hundred's elsewhere. It is important to point out that this is a business and there is absolutely a conflict of interest and I do not know how much pressure management places on physicians to enroll Patients (clients). But this would work in favour of patients seeking prescriptions if it was the case. I am not implying impropriety just making an observation. I did not see any one leave without a script but that is only an anecdotal observation. Vaping is obviously encouraged..it would be pretty easy to brand their own generic version and they could sell a lot of those but I would expect a royalty. Expect another 40 dollar follow up in 6 months time. Overall, an excellent experience at a facility that is professional and respectful of patient's time. read more
