This school sucks, I…read moream a former student at Cornerstone, and I would like to tell you guys about how this school is extremely bad. 1. Lots and Lots of bullying in the school 2. Teachers will go against the rules and gaslight you. 3. Your kids will be stressed out of their minds with the amount of homework. 4. Got cursed out by a teacher. Also, I was a student there for 9 years.

My son started at this school when he turned two. They only take two year olds through VPK (that's…read morethe only negative thing about the school). Ms. Sarah is the two year old class assistant and she is firm, but loving. She talked to my son about the weather and his feelings and he would come home saying the funniest stuff. She treated him like the little person he is, not just another kid. The lead teacher retired this year after 12 years and was replaced by the wonderful, enthusiastic Ms. Alba. Now that he's in the 3 year old classroom, the kids take turns as line leaders and calendar leaders, learning how to share responsibilities while also learning about the months of the year. They also work on their letters, colors, and numbers, of course. The school has a better handle on managing any rare instances of discipline problems than other schools I've experienced. My son has learned great ways to share; how to ask for a turn rather than just ripping something away from another child... and how to accept when it isn't his turn. He's always been tiny and was picked on at other schools, but just as he is learning how to use his words to deal with problems, so are the other children and I find that he doesn't get roughed up at this school. Some Facts: The school is non-denominational. They have the best playground in town. It is open all summer and works great for government workers who are headed downtown. Its holiday schedule matches up with the government's holiday schedule. No fall or spring break to scramble to find a babysitter for. I think the price is very reasonable. You can buy a really healthy lunch for an additional $2.50 per day. The menu changes, but they always have a fruit, a vegetable, a protein and a whole grain. Sorry such a long review ... but it's hard for me to let him go and grow up. The only relief is knowing that when I can't be with him, he is in a place that loves him, protects him and helps him grow.

This is a wonderful school. I have experienced the worst of the worst at Kate Sullivan elementary,…read morea public school in Leon County. The blessings of Community Leadership Academy (CLA) cannot be outdone. It is worth the investment into my child, absolutely. I'm a single parent on a tight budget but thankfully Florida offers the SUFS scholarship that helps me. This is a Christian school! God is in the midst! The pre elementary and elementary students at this school have morning worship. Older kids have chapel. It gets the kids settled and in a good mind state. Then as part of their curriculum they learn Bible verses and practice what they learn! They wear uniforms which makes it fun for kids that like to match others. There is a little of variety with the shirt, bottom type, and socks so we have fun mixing that up. It is never boring. Some teachers play music in their classes. We love that. I say "we" because I get to go into the class every month at least once, and help the teacher. "Parent partner hours" are encouraged and it is truly my favorite part about this school. Being involved is so important. The blessing of working together with my child's teachers and peers cannot be understated. I also get to be friends with the parents in the classroom group chat. Not all parent's participate but I try not to let it get me down. It could be so much worse! You could not ever learn another parent's name like at Kate Sullivan. In regards to education, it is pretty good quality curriculum and they read really good books. I enjoy immensely my child's workload and always take part. Special area schedules are awesome: there is theater, music, PE, art, and more. It's great to have the variety. Recess every day and eating lunch in the classroom is so nice. Huge lunchrooms at public schools are chaos my child cannot handle. Kate Sullivan teachers don't actually go to lunch or recess with their kids and that is disappointing. The kids at that school are out of control. More than half of them cuss, swear, bicker, and bully and the teachers/admin do nothing. My child felt lost and forsaken at that public school, came home crying because they have no regard for innocence or sweetness there. CLA values innocence and sweetness and the staff actually care for the children. Kate Sullivan allowed the scholastic book fair to show a video trailer of a book about murder and showed blood!! It was disgusting and evil! That would never happen at CLA! PE at that public school was totally boring and a waste, as well. Physical Education at CLA is top notch, with the best indoor gym to play in. New games and sports are played all the time. They are learning wiffle ball right now! There is lots of fun to be had in between studies and it is Christ centered fun. Don't ever change CLA! Putting Christ and His children first is key to life!

According to Sabrina, the Director of Community, Domi Station is an incubator for startup companies. Domi provides individuals with a place to come, "hatch" and nurture their business ideas. It also gives people who work from home or freelance entrepreneurs an opportunity to have an established location to complete their daily tasks. Going stir crazy operating out of your residence? Then Domi Station is the place for you. The compound includes conference rooms, private offices, meeting areas and mail boxes for those who may need a physical address for their start up as opposed to a P.O. Box. You do have to purchase a membership to utilize their amenities but they allow you to buy based on your needs so you can combine different features according to your specific business requirements. One of the best options Sabrina informed us of is that their memberships are month-to-month. I'd think that flexibility is quite desirable because let's be honest.........no one likes contracts but in a lot of cases, they're necessary evils. Well, Domi Station eliminates that problem. I came away fascinated at the environment and options Domi Station offers. If you're somebody or knows someone contemplating starting up a business, I strongly recommend giving Domi Station a try.
