In early November, I contacted this company to repair my gas fireplace--my primary heat…read moresource--before winter. A technician came out, serviced the unit, and identified the issue: a faulty blower. He provided a quote for the replacement, which I approved immediately. That's when the problems began. Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

Our experience with Battleson's was very difficult. Poor customer service was obvious from the…read morebeginning. Guy doesnt show to come measure our square footage. I have to call and remind him a few days later. The only reason we did business with Battleson's was because they had installed the carpet in our upstairs (the decision to have them install the carpet upstairs was not made by us) I spoke with a few different sales representatives during the process. I was told they did not have the same carpet as my upstairs, but they did have a carpet made by the same manufacturer that was the exact color. Unfortunately, after the carpet was installed, I called them because it was apparent it was not the exact color. I never got a call back from the Manager. 1.5 weeks later I emailed. I was informed it was "the closest color they had to my upstairs carpet". Wish I would have known, I would have saved myself almost 1k and went with the other company we were looking at that had a "very close" color. As frustrating as this was, it was the way things were handled from beginning to end. Had they acknowledged the mistake (or really tried to do anything to make the situation better I would be okay with it) At the end of the day I am happy to have my basement finished and carpet to walk on. If they would have offered me even a $50 credit I would have forgotten about it and moved on. It is obvious Battleson's doesnt care to provide a good service or experience. No attention to detail. The representative hasn't responded to my 2nd email, and that was a common theme as I asked questions and was doing my research at the beginning. Responds to emails in all caps. Common email courtesy and common sense says you don't email in all caps.
