I'm picky about who I let manipulate me - had great chiros and ones that didn't really get what I needed adjusted. Searched google, yelp, and Facebook. Aggregated the results and decided it couldn't get much worse pain wise, I might as well give this a shot. Then made an appt to go in and chat. Had great conversation with Dr. Smoot, I was in pretty bad shape. Most of the time I get adjusted is relatively painless and I feel significant relief almost instantly. As I was in pretty bad condition and significantly locked up, I suspected getting adjustments would be painful, and I was correct. But I also started feeling relief about ten minutes later. After the second adjustment I started getting feeling back where I've had numbness and pain for a while. This is good news. A week later, we've got a plan in place to correct the stuff I have going on and create a better future. I'm recommending him to everyone I know. Support staff couldn't be more helpful. So glad I finally decided to get off my butt and get help.

You can tell he's very thorough and intentional with his adjustments. They both have different styles, which I actually really appreciate. As a bday gift, my mother and her husband paid $89 for what was represented by staff as 4 visits…read morefor $89. After the 4 visits, If i liked their services and chose to continue , I would have to sign up for a plan. I filled out the digital forms and my mothers husband used his debit card to pay the $89 fee (July 2022). I used 2 of 4 visits in July 2022 and never went back. The Joint charged my parents bank account $89/ month since July 2022 until Feb 2026. 44 months = $3, 916. We immediately contacted the clinic in Salinas , however, staff could not locate my account . Phone calls and in person visit yirlded same result, no account found in their own data base. I was directed to corporate - I left a detailed message and asked for help. Corporate never replied. This continued for nearly 3 weeks, however, when I called again a few days after leaving the message with corporate staff magically found my account in seconds and canceled this membership over the phone contradicting their own policy. Immediately I received a copy of the cancellation via email , it contained false info and a signature, not my own. The joint is refusing to refund a single cent for the reason that the membership contract that was never knowingly established was never cancele?? My parents never signed a contract, they never authorized recurring billing and now they refuse to cooperate in resolving this matter. This is a pattern of deceptive business practices evidenced by many complaints sharing many of the same similarities. A legitimate membership would have been in the database since the beginning. This is not a matter of a failure to cancel a membership that was never knowingly established this is a matter of the joint charging the bank account of a person who was never a patient there who never signed a contract and who never authorized the joint to withdraw from their account.. this clinic follows the same patterns of misrepresentation, they do not value their clients whatsoever, we were never given anything on paper everything there is digital , for their benefit. They continue to charge my parents bank account even after a card replacement in 2024. The emails I received 2022-2025 were all sales/promo related, none were receipts, renewals, reminders- The bank is investigating the charges, I filed a complaint with BBB, the FTC and DOJ are next. Im filing the forms for smal claims court today . How does a clinic charge the bank account of someone who is not a patient and who did not sign a contract with them for 44 months yet they cannot find any information or any account in their own database??? A formal investigation of this clinic is long overdue. The joint is in the business of selling membership contracts by any means using chiropractic care as a guise. They had the nerve to call me 3 times to promote sales, not ine call regarding this matter. My mother is 73 yrs old, the stress this has caused her, her husband, and myself is unacceptable. This has been a terrible experience I do not wish on anyone. The Joint gives Chiropractic care a bad name . Its no wonder the Joint has been sued by some of their own chiropractors, ex staff, and clients.

These folks were willing to get me in same-day. Upon arrival, I noticed that everyone working there was smiling and upbeat, even though it was busy, they took a moment for kindness. There was a running display about ways to improve your mindset, and as I stared at that I genuinely felt a positive shift in my attitude reading the affirmations... They got to me quickly, and I was a little nervous when I sat in the room with the xray machine because I just won't do them, but they were not pushy about it at all, and respected my wishes. Imo, this is a good sign of a high-quality Chiropractor, one who can adjust by feel and intuition. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who need xrays, for acute cases and just in case there is a fracture or something, but for my ole back with it's pains that go back decades, I am not one of them, and I was mighty grateful this didn't become an argument like with the last person I tried to get help from. The young lady who did the intake is very sweet has a calming presence and the Doctor who treated me is so pleasant and she is easy to talk to; and they both gave me full attention with the kindest smiles :) And the adjustment was great, multi-fold and provided instant relief that lasted. I'm what I call a hard adjustment, I tense up and get some chronic nagging stuff that makes it harder for me to relax. This last time I returned in 2023 they started coming at me with some heat and massage prior to adjustments. I just need to remember to stay consistent with visits and can hopefully get on like a monthly maintenance. She's the only doctor there now but I have zero issues with scheduling and she's pretty efficient with patients going from room to room. I don't ever wait long for her to return. They also work with all forms of payment including insurance which benefits me. I get that ins can be a pain to deal with so I really appreciate that this office stays dedicated to to accepting all forms of payments and making it affordable for all. Early April, after a pretty bad car accident, I started treatment with Dr. Kimes, and the rest of the associates. My back went from barely bearable to back to normal in days. It is really the best relief for any stress and pain on my body. The greatest thing about it is that it does not only help physically but also mentally.
