What a great place to find some healing in Salinas! I needed some manipulation after some serious backpacking with a load on my back that was far too heavy for way too long! These folks were willing to get me in same-day. Upon arrival, I noticed that everyone working there was smiling and upbeat, even though it was busy, they took a moment for kindness. There was a running display about ways to improve your mindset, and as I stared at that I genuinely felt a positive shift in my attitude reading the affirmations... They got to me quickly, and I was a little nervous when I sat in the room with the xray machine because I just won't do them, but they were not pushy about it at all, and respected my wishes. Imo, this is a good sign of a high-quality Chiropractor, one who can adjust by feel and intuition. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who need xrays, for acute cases and just in case there is a fracture or something, but for my ole back with it's pains that go back decades, I am not one of them, and I was mighty grateful this didn't become an argument like with the last person I tried to get help from. The young lady who did the intake is very sweet has a calming presence and the Doctor who treated me is so pleasant and she is easy to talk to; and they both gave me full attention with the kindest smiles :) And the adjustment was great, multi-fold and provided instant relief that lasted. I just couldn't continue treatment here. All I got was the same adjustment every time on my neck and had no improvement. The wait time when you arrive is terrible too. My experience with this office has been nothing short of excellent. I have found each member of the staff to be friendly as well as professional. The office is conveniently located in North Salinas, and there is plenty of accessible parking in the rear of the office via Laurel Drive. Dr. Kimble Cater was able to pinpoint my problem areas with X-rays and explained to me in my initial consultation that the process would take time. Since my last review, the doctor called me personally and apologized for my previous bad experience. I was assured that parents are welcome and encouraged to accompany their children. I was able to make an appointment for him but as he has just turned 18 he elected to go by himself. They even offered an x-ray to ensure he got the best treatment. read more

Dr. Greg is a racist. My name is Lisa, and I've been coming here for years. On March/20/2021, I came in for a neck adjustment and Dr.greg asked me if I was chinese, I said No. He then proceeded to make comments about the Atlanta shooting, and he went on about how Black Lives matter is wrong. I spoke to the manager, and they were all upset and agreed with me but then Dr.Greg threatened to call 911 on me and he sent the management home. Dr. Greg Cater is amazing! Pulling up to this nondescript building, I was a bit skeptical, but I had read all the great reviews, so I still gave it a chance. I'm so glad I did, because Dr. Greg is the best chiropractor I have ever worked with. I have severe neck, shoulder, mid-back, and lower back pain. He examined me, took X-rays, adjusted me to the point of what my body could handle, and everything was covered by insurance. Dr. Greg is gentle, will only offer you what you need, nothing more, nothing less, he is not a salesman, he just fixes your pain. I've been dealing with some lower back pain for years now. Had previously gone to a chiropractor and I did less pain and overall improvement. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Kimber Cater and it's been three weeks now. I feel that it is helping me with the pain but I know it's also a process so I'm being patient. I spent nearly 2 years in a lot of pain from my back and had seen a few different chiropractors and MD's and got no relief. After giving me a through examination and x-rays, Dr Cater sat me down and explained why I was having these problems, set up a treatment plan and suggested other nutrients and exercises. That was 3 months ago, I am still under treatment and feeling a 100% better than I did when I went in to his office. I was 6 months pregnant when I first came to see Dr.Gemma she was highly recommended by my friend Erika. I had excruciating back and hip pain for two weeks. I couldn't stand straight and needed help moving around, my doctor just wanted to give me meds for muscle spasms which I wasn't comfortable taking. After my recent car accident I used the reviews on yelp to help me decide which Chiropracter I would see. When i called to make an appt i was able to get in the same day. I can honestly say I don't regret coming here. When I arrived to cater chiropracter the receptionist was very professional and friendly. I was most surprised when she stood out of her chair to introduce her self and welcome me to the practice. The physician near the counter did the same and I automatically felt welcomed. After filling out paper work they showed me a brief introductory video which was very helpful since I've never been seen by a Chiropracter. My overall experience with the staff and physicians was more then I expected. The team at Cater Chiropractic was amazing! I had a Lombard strain late Sunday night and they were able to give me treatment first thing Monday morning. My back problem was so bad I wasn't able to stand or walk, but the team was able to give me adjustments and therapy twice a day, and I was feeling significantly better within a matter of days. The doctors were very helpful and knowledgeable and informed me the reason it happened and ways to avoid it happening again. All in all I'm very grateful for the team and the help they gave me. I reluctantly came here from a referral. I gave them my medical history that indicated I should not have any type of "spinal manipulation" and no twisting due to sciatica and other problems. Although the staff was friendly and helpful, during the so-called therapy in which I was saying was painful, Dr. Carter continued and aggressively twisted my back. He obviously did not look at my intake paperwork showing this should not have been done! The procedure caused me extreme pain and a headache. And he couldn't even prescribe anything for the pain he caused. Their so-called "therapy" might be helpful for some patients but there are some medical conditions that were clearly on my intake form in which spinal manipulation is completely inappropriate. read more

My family has been patrons of their office for over 15 years and we have never had a problem with treatment or care. Before I went to Cater Chiropractic, I could not sleep because of my back. I went only after I had read in a book that chiropractic care was helpful for many back related issues. Dr. Gemma took x-rays and did an evaluation. Then I went through a month of rehab with Dr. Greg, 3 times per week. It took a little while to get better, and it happened gradually, but I did get better eventually. I did not have insurance at the time, so I had to pay for the treatment myself. It was hard, because I was not working at the time due to my back and also tendonitis in my hands, but in retrospect, I would say that is the best investment I ever did to for my back.
