They were at our house within 24 hours and gave us what we feel was a very reasonable estimate to remove and replace our roof. The job was scheduled promptly and the work was 99% completed in one day with a crew of 8 who worked almost non-stop the entire day. They were obviously very experienced and we were impressed how they all worked cooperatively and efficiently. They cleaned up several times and even sent someone the following day to go around the house searching for nails or debris. Our roof looks great, we are completely satisfied and we highly recommend this company.

Melanie in the office was very helpful in scheduling and other details, always responding quickly. The project manager, Dru and his team showed up on time, did a great job of protecting the property with tarps, removed and replaced the roof (with some deck patching) all in one day. A location that needed special attention that I pointed out, was worked on as the light faded, but the crew kept at it until it was taken care of. They cleaned up well after they were done. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I would recommend them if you need any work done on your roof.

Andrew is extremely professional, responsive and skilled in his line of work. Being from California, the concept of trees, vast open spaces of land, and inclement weather are foreign to me; I needed help. My lawn was too big to mow myself; and I didn't want to add another chore to my bf's house upkeep list. We received a flyer in the mail from Highwood Landscaping offering a discount so I decided to test them out. Lawn mowed; no problems! After that test run, we kept them on for scheduled mowing, and I've been nothing but pleased. Then the Fall hit, the leaves were everywhere, everywhere, everywhere! We don't have this many trees in Cali! I never knew it could become such a problem. My lawn was definitely bringing the value of the neighborhood down, as it had become such an eyesore covered in leaves. But luckily, Highwood could take care of my Fall Cleanup as well. Phew. Leaves cleaned, no problems! And now that the snow has finally thawed, and the sun begins to warm my soul; I recently was reminded that there is life outside my heated living room. Time to make my yard presentable! Then, by coincidence or mind incepting fortune, Highwood gave me a call the very next day! (How did they know!?!) I had Amber come out to do an estimate for some landscaping. I was impressed with how knowledgeable she was about the different types of plant life I could get into my yard. She was very professional; and offered up suggestions I would have never thought of myself. I felt like I was on one of those design shows! Landscaping is not everyone's forte, but it is definitely an area of expertise for the employees of Highwood Landscaping. As a customer, it makes me feel good to have such a high level of professionalism and customer service.

After several weeks of watching them closely to make sure we just weren't missing it, we politely asked if we misunderstood the services we were paying for and they responded by denying they neglected the weed-whacking and cancelled our service all together because the yard was too "bumpy." Perhaps they shouldn't have been mowing over the ONE tree our yard has and used a weed-whacker over the roots instead? If you want cheap, go with Highwood. If you want quality professionals, look elsewhere.

KlausLarsen Roofing began work on a neighbors roof in Suffield, CT May 28, 2026 without pulling a…read morepermit. The homeowner is well known as a bigot. I noticed workers stripping the roof into my backyard without permission. When I went out to speak to the workers, none spoke English. Site manager Mark Libiszewski came over and I explained he didn't ask permission and does not have permission to strip the haters roof onto our property. The bigot called police. That is when it was discovered no roofing permit had been pulled. Site manager blamed it on a 3rd party error. Police explained [on video + audio] work came to a halt & once a permit is pulled work will resume within 10 to 14 days. The site manager will come to my house prior to work starting and touch base. No stripping will be done on our property but workers will come over to pickup errant debris and nail sweep with a magnet. Five days later, June 2, I noticed tarps, plywood, and workers stripping the neighbors roof into our yard. When I walked over to confront the same site manager the tarps were coming down as the roof was speed stripped by the hard-working crew. I reiterated to Mark he did not have permission to strip the bigots roof onto our property and if he needed that kind of access we should be compensated for it. Mark said he had no authority to compensate and they always go onto other peoples property when needed. Mark also said Suffield Police said we gave permission and insinuated I was calling police a liar. I subsequently called KlausLarsen office and spoke to Cora, Production Department, who told me I need to speak to Joanie Dunstan Mgr. Two days later I connected with Joanie who had to speak to someone else and then would call my son who owns the property. Needless to say my son is still waiting for a call. In summary, KlausLarsen did not pull a proper permit initially, feels entitled to send equipment & crew onto other peoples property without permission even when told not to. We inadvertently helped a bigot get his roof done by a crew of foreign hard workers he despises and our yard was the receptacle for the bigots roof trash. I cannot speak to pricing or quality of work but I can speak to the unprofessional and disrespectful manner in which we were treated.
