While I priced the big box stores as well, I also stopped in to see the folks at Floored. They were quick to help, and had an estimator on-site the next business day. Carpet was in stock and ready to go, and while the guys they sent out could have been on time, the whole install happened seamlessly. (unintended play on words - get it? Carpet? Seam? Nevermind). The one point I had a little issue with was some subfloor repair that I was told needed to be done. I have little doubt it needed to be done, but when I couldn't get out to see it for myself, perhaps some photos sent from the job site would have been a good service touch.
