We hired Randy to work on our Caledonia Forest property and had numerous issues with him. Delays over and over again, little to NO communication, horrible shoddy work that we had to go over and fix ourselves, and then charged us over $10,000 more than the original quote, after months of delays from the promised work. I paid him around $10,000 for tiles from Heritage tiles and he stole nearly half the tiles and refuses to pick up his phone or provide information on where these tiles are. After I called him yesterday, since he blew off my employee about the tiles and told us its "our" problem, and left a voicemail that he better refund the tiles or get it to us - he and 3 of his employees left us 1 star reviews on our Google page. THIS is how this man and his "company" treat local business owners? Months of delayed work, tens of thousands in over priced work not completed on time, steals OUR tile that we paid for, then leaves OUR business negative reviews? Unbelievable. It was the first big girl project in this house, and one I WANTED to do, rather than had to do. Anyway, I hired JW McLeod because Cary came highly recommended. I saw his work first hand and was sure this guy would do great. Originally, he quoted me 4-5 days. It took 2 weeks, and it's still not finished. Cary did the majority of the work. His guys came in for the first day of demolition, so this is really about him not his crew. There are things I didn't know, but expected a licensed contractor to know. For example, he asked me if I wanted to tile all the way up to the ceiling, of course I said yes. However, I didn't know it should have had a framed border where the tile met the ceiling. He's the expert, he should have known. Now, FULL disclosure, I paid him BEFORE the job was done, so I know where I went wrong. Long story short, as you'll see in the pictures, I have an incomplete shower remodel. The shower door wasn't installed properly and it leaks. There is BLACK grout all over my walls and ceiling. There are holes in the dry wall needing repair. I told him he didn't have to paint because I hadn't picked a color yet. He was supposed to install a plexiglas shelf in the middle of the niche so I had more places to put my junk (typical girl with a lot of hair products). That's no excuse for leaving the room as he did. I sent him and email on the 23rd of November, after trying to contact him via phone for a week. His number is now out of service.

We hired Stanley Custom Builders to complete a garage construction project under a written…read morecontract. We paid the contracted amount in full, expecting the agreed-upon work to be completed. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned before completion. Despite having been paid, the contractor did not complete the contracted work, and we experienced significant problems with communication, scheduling, and getting the project finished. There were also issues during the project involving workers, tools, materials, and work that remained incomplete. We made numerous attempts to communicate and give the contractor an opportunity to fulfill his contractual obligations, but the project still was not completed. We have documentation supporting our experience, including the contract, payment records, photographs, messages, and records of work performed. We have since had to pursue other avenues to address the situation, including filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and looking into the appropriate licensing and legal processes. I am sharing this review because I believe potential customers deserve to know about our firsthand experience before hiring a contractor. This review is not based on hearsay or someone else's experience--it is based on what happened to us. I sincerely hope Stanley Custom Builders takes responsibility for the unfinished work and resolves the matter appropriately.
