The gutter/fascia crew were then supposed to come 2 days later. Did not show up. I called their production office, and they said they'd call back with their arrival time. No call back, no crew. I had to then call them the next morning, and they told me, "oh, that's a special order color won't be in until tmrw so they'll come on Saturday". Saturday came, no crew. Office closed, but I got to talk to their idiotic AI bot that was no help. Fast forward to Sunday finally connecting with a human. "oh, the crew got caught up in a different job" I didn't get any call to apologize or reschedule. This happened TWO more times. Two more no call, no shows. And when they were done and I wanted to talk to someone to complain? Nothing. no customer service. Do Not Hire Expensive Horrible customer service Unprofessional Did I say unprofessional?

When he showed up for the estimate, he gave us some options, took some measurements and we had a written estimate before he left. From approving the estimate to the materials showing up was only two weeks! The crew (Andy and Jack) showed up every day ready to work and did so tirelessly until the end of each day. They asked great questions to make sure nothing got damaged or misplaced, and the finished product was better that we had hoped! All scrap was removed and our yard was left in great condition. The job took six days for removal of old material and installation of new siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. Most importantly, the wife is happy!

He didn't have anything else to say so I asked him how would they reinforce it? How would they slope it? I think this guy was a salesperson who probably never did concrete work. Then I had to bring up the subject of stairs. I work during the day and this guy is wasting my time with his lack of sales skills and knowledge. So then he goes to his car and write up an estimate for $4,400. Congrats, you are the highest bidder! On the estimate form it says something like "Material prices go up in June, labor prices in July". This is to motivate you to sign now. He offers no information about whether or not the company is registered with the village. He wrote on the form "Customer gets permit", something we didn't discuss. I ended up hiring Caesar Garcia Concrete Solutions from Cicero thru Home Advisor. Saved $1400 with them. True professionals. Forget Vander Veer.

They are rated A+; however, in my book, they have a D due to their lack of professionalism. On Thursday, August 15th, the project manager came out to give me an estimate. She was friendly enough and very knowledgeable. The early stages of our initial encounter were pleasant, but when I asked about permits and the contract for my lawyer review, her demeanor changed. It seemed as though she had a problem with my request. Before the project manager left, I was told I would have the estimate by Friday, August 23rd. On August 23rd, I didn't hear from Anderson Construction, so I called. I was informed that the estimate wasn't complete yet because they were very busy. They reassured me it would be ready by the next day, Wednesday, August 28th. To my dismay, I didn't hear from Anderson on August 28 either. When I gave them a follow up call, the receptionist told me the project manger would call me back. The project manager never returned my phone call. I called them back on Thursday, August 29th. During this conversation, I was told that they sent me a text the prior day, but they messaged my landline so I didn't receive it. I gave them my cell number and was assured I would have the estimate that evening or Friday morning at the latest. I am writing this review on September 11, and I still waiting........... I was truly interested in doing business with this company, but their blatant display of unprofessionalism has been a turn off. If they can't provide an estimate in a timely manner, I can 't trust them to work on my home. Sheila M.
