But before I hit the road, I figured, why not wrap it up with a movie? Enter Galaxy 8 Cinema Allen Theaters the perfect spot to watch a flick without getting abducted. This place has all the classic theater vibes, but with a Roswell twist. You sit down, the lights dim, and suddenly you half-expect a little green guy in the seat next to you asking for popcorn. The seats are comfy, the sound hits just right, and honestly it's been a while since I actually enjoyed a movie this much. Even the popcorn seemed like it had a secret, alien-approved seasoning. If you're in town, make this your last stop. You might not see aliens on the screen, but you'll leave with a grin, a satisfied snack, and that warm "small-town theater magic" feeling. Plus, where else can you say you saw a movie in Roswell without worrying if the projectionist is a Martian?

Found our sets and waited and waited at noon another movie goers went to the front to see what the issue was.. the issue was they forgot to start the movie. The movie begins I'm pretty sure 30 minutes in because we were all lost. Besides forgetting to start the movie they forgot to turn the lights down so besides missing 20-30 minutes of the beginning of the movie the lights were still up, I went too the front and asked if they could please turn the lights down. I was laughed at and got a maybe. Well an hour plus into the movie the lights finally went down. The whole experience was not pleasant. Fortunately we're here on vacation and will not have to go here again.

As soon as we decided to come to New Mexico - I knew I had to come Roswell to the UFO museum. Since I am a bit obsessed with the Roswell incident. You know the weather balloon crash. So I get in the museum and I start reading everything and listening to all the testimony. And I actually started to believe that it wasn't a weather balloon. Until I read the statement from the funeral parlor director. Supposedly the army officers requested 4' caskets. Really - aliens? And your big concern is the size of the casket? They can't go in a regular size one?? Besides we all know that the aliens get stored in the lab at Area 51. In glass jars.

All you have to do is be curious to come here. They have everything on display chronologically, some interesting visual displays, and it's a self guided with lots of captivating stories and tangible materials as it relates to the existence of aliens and UFO's. I went through here in about an hour. It would take you much longer if you read everything on display. Lots of the stories on the timeline are fascinating. I thought it was well put together and should be thrilling for the alien enthusiasts. After checking out all the museum displays, there's a decent sized gift shop offering various types of merchandise. I got a cool fridge magnet as a souvenir for visiting this infamous museum. If you ever come to Roswell, whether you are into or believe in aliens, you have to visit the UFO Museum. It represents what Roswell is known for, and it's just an overall interesting experience with everything chronologically displayed nicely.

Eagle 9 is okay compared to my old movie theaters…read more I haven't been here in ages. Since I watched American Sniper. Before that, memorable movies I saw were Titanic, Jurassic Park and The Cowboy Way. Lol. It's definitely been renovated. Leather, mechanical-reclining lounge chairs with a tray and a cup holder. The only restrooms are way in the front near the snack bar. The floors are always sticky. A small Sprite was $5.25 plus tax. The candy selection was lame, therefore, I am more likely to smuggle in my own next time. Recently on June 18, 2024, I came here with my daughters and their aunt and grandmother. No one ever asked to see the tickets that I bought to see IF which was adorable by the way. But our movie was disrupted by staff members asking others to leave and/or move because they either didn't have tickets or had the wrong seats. Yesterday on June 6, 2024, I came by myself to watch Sound of Hope. Great movie by Angel Studios. When I was at the snack bar, a young girl asked to see my ticket so I showed her my phone. She wasn't particularly nice about it. She asked to see it again and then gave me a printout of a small ticket stub. They never even scan your tickets. It's the strangest ordeal. The worst part about this experience is that me and another lady went up to the front to tell them that our movie previews hadn't started when it was supposed to at 12:30PM. No apology or any explanation was made. I'm glad we said something because I don't think they were checking on our theater room at all. Dirty restrooms. Barely enough soap to wash my hands and no paper towels. It's OK for my hometown movie theater, but it certainly could be better. The staff is nothing like it was when my brother used to work here in the early 2000s. It's nothing like it used to be when Mr. Littlejohn was in charge. TIP + every Tuesday all movies are $5 per ticket.

I went and told them and they were fully aware of the issue already. They said they'd try to adjust it, but I think it was only to appease me because nothing changed. Must be nice being the only act in town. Save your money and don't bother with this theatre.
