Unfortunately, my experience with Montoya Law on my workers' compensation case was very…read moredisappointing. Initially, I felt confident based on the firm's marketing and the promises made during the intake process. However, after I signed the retainer agreement, communication became a significant issue. Emails, phone calls, and text messages often went unanswered, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times just to receive a response. As the injured worker, I was simply trying to stay informed and actively involved in my own case. I don't think anyone had a greater interest in achieving a favorable outcome than I did. Despite that, I often felt like my concerns were being dismissed rather than addressed. One conversation with attorney Ruben Montoya particularly stood out. After I had made several attempts to contact the office regarding concerns about my case, I finally received a call. During that conversation, I felt more criticized for trying to communicate than supported as a client. I was repeatedly told that "it's not instant soup" and that he was "not a magician." While I understand that legal matters take time, those comments left me feeling dismissed and unheard. I also experienced long delays in receiving medical treatment. At one point, I went more than six months without treatment related to my work injury. The doctor I was referred to was approximately an hour from my home, and appointments often involved waiting for extended periods before being seen. When I raised concerns about retaliation and other issues affecting my claim, I was told another attorney would contact me to discuss them, but that never happened. I also attempted to discuss adding additional injuries to my claim and did not receive meaningful follow-up. Throughout the case, I felt like I was constantly advocating for myself instead of having an attorney actively advocating for me. The firm's advertisements emphasize fighting for injured workers and making sure clients do not leave money on the table. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I did not feel supported, prioritized, or adequately represented during a very difficult period in my life. Ultimately, I lost confidence in the representation and made the decision to hire another law firm. This review reflects my personal experience. Others may have a different experience, but based on mine, I cannot recommend this firm

Hello, I am a…read moreprivate person just going about my own business; however I appreciate the law firm of Silberman & Lam so damn much so I'll share some of my info. I was injured at work and therefore hired a well -known law firm to represent me against my employer to ensure I received proper medical care. After one year I sought a different law firm to represent me because it was clear to me I deserved better in the form of an attorney representing my best interest. That's when I read attorney, Mr. Scott Silberman's biography and I knew in my heart that is who I needed to represent me the best way in my Workers Compensation claim. Almost immediately I met attorney, Mrs. Sheryl Lam and boy your life will never be the same. She is a fire cracker who tells you how she and her team will aggressively represent you. she doesn't bullshit. Mrs. Lam represented me and my best interest to the fullest. The team at the Law firm of Silverman & Lam and yes they work as a team; very organized each and every step of the way on your injury claim. They always return calls; email and or text messages; they are always approachable and explained EVERY DETAIL TO ME. When Mrs Sheyl Lam met me she said, " Don't worry about anything. That is what we get paid to do." She was right. Even if you don't know about it, relax. Their team is doing so, so much behind the scenes for you to get a great outcome to your claims. This is where I share a bit of myself. The team at Silverman & Lam fought hard for me to get a LIFE TIME benefit for me on top of thousands of dollars in settlement money. Oh yes they did do that. So in closing I would like to tell the World, do what's best for you and your family. Hire Silberman & Lam to represent you for your work-related injuries. You will not regret it. At the end of your settlement you will look back and feel it was all worth it. they take great care of you! Thank you to : Scott, Sheyl, Stefanie, Pam, Dioselina and (Viviana & Joey they are the two attorneys who work solely on the lifetime monthly awards their clients might be eligible for). I know I must have missed someone but it was solely due to lack of remembering on my part. Nonetheless, I appreciate all of you from the bottom of my heart. Having you as my attorneys changed my life for the better. I am forever grateful to your law firm/team Navora Delos Santos

Joseph and his team were on top of everything from the beginning. Joseph was very up front with his fees and what he expected to result in the case. Joseph was able to negotiate a way more favorable settlement amount than my previous law office whom I'll remain nameless. In closing there are not enough stars to give this firm, and I would recommend everyone to this man. He has changed my family's life.

Mr. Richards and his team provided my family member with crucial legal advice and diligent…read morerepresentation in a legal case. Throughout the process, Mr. Richards and his paralegal Mr. Arnold Marquez were able to provide the family member with timely answers to questions, especially since "online researches" (I don't get why people take whatever they see online as gospel) often generated contradicting advices and added to confusion. During several critical moments, the family member being represented was misled by "advices" from "friends". It was Arnold who provided timely clarification, explained one's rights, and eased the family member from a severe panic attack. Without them, I would've been overwhelmed and at a loss on how to ease the family member's ceaseless worries. Ultimately (after an expectedly lengthy but well-managed process), Mr. Richards and Mr. Marquez successfully defended my family members' legal rights, and the case was settled with appropriate compensations and necessary medical treatment. Overall, Mr. Richards and Mr. Marquez are to be commended for their professionalism, knowledge of the law, as well as their ability to steer plaintiff away from legal pitfalls (baffling "advices" from "friends" and "know-it-all" relatives without any legal basis). It was a long fight, and at times it felt as if everyone was against the family member, and in the end, the only people who were truly on her side were Mr. Richards and Mr. Marquez.

My case was just sitting there for months under Carolina management until I had a deposition which of course was pushed by my employer's attorney not mine. The attorney who helped me which I'll add was not my assigned attorney, was a retired one very knowledgeable and kind. She told me my case was being mishandled in a very unorganized manner, she included that in her report to the case manager. Several months later fast forward to now I found out by chance not by their notification! that they have switched or merged to another firm called Michael Burgis and Associates, very suddenly and suspicious. Now I don't even know who my attorney is, they won't even give me his name or schedule me an appoinment to speak with him. Everytime I call their office, whether is the old one or the new one I get the same person everytime who guards the case manager and attorneys like they are the president of the United States. Burris Law helped me with my Mom's probate and estate. They are informative, extremely helpful,…read moreprompt, and understanding. Going through the probate process took a long time(2 and a half years) partial due to the nature of the courts and partially due to some more uncommon issues that came up. Including an existence of a trust, but being unable to locate a copy including finding the attorney who originally set up the trust and asking if they had any copies. Unfortunately, the trust was set up before computer records were common. Another problem they helped me with was SunRun decided, for reasons we were never able to figure out, to try to shut of service even after I had began the process of transferring everything into my name and was only then waiting on the deed for the house that I wouldn't have until probate was over. Getting a letter saying SunRun was going to deactivate my service for being overdue on payments while in the same letter saying I owed no money and was 0 days past due was confusing and was confusingto every SunRunemployeei spoke to and none could give me answers. Burris Law helped me tremendously with this and without their help I don't know what would have happened in the end. I can't say enough nice things about them. They sent me 2 small care packages during the process and it was really nice to get something positive in the mail during a time when I was getting anxiety every time the mail came. Even after probate has been over for a year they answer any questions I have that come up. Retaining their services was expensive, as it would have been for any probate attorney, and it was worth every cent. When I'm in a better spot I'll be back to set up my own trust with their help.
