I was then able to get all my appointments set, without having to wait. The entire Carmel staff were welcoming and motivating. The lady who answers the phone is breathtakingly rude. She insulted me multiple times, and then went on to rudely explain that if I missed an appointment, I would be charged $50, and they were very "strict." I explained that I do not generally miss any appointments, but I do not pay for work that is not performed, as it is the law. In any case, I determined that anywhere this rude would not receive my patronage, and took my business elsewhere.

Then I found PROCLINIX in Yorktown, NY. The first person there that I spoke with was Patricia, who scheduled me for my acupuncture and chiropractic appointments. Patricia is your first point of contact when you walk through the door, she is their office administrator. Patricia is very impressive, not only is she a multitasker and very organized, she greets you by name while making the office feel very warm and welcoming. I have never had acupuncture before. I was nervous and I really didn't know what to expect, when I met with Andrea Gurciullo, their acupuncturist. I can now say I am so very greatful that I met this woman. I had pain in my neck, back, lower back, and hip. The knowledge that Andrea holds and the treatments she has applied to me has made me be able to sleep again, has relieved my pain where I'm able to function again and I'm able to manage. Andrea is truly a master at her craft. But what makes Andrea different from many others is that Andrea truly cares. She cares about her patients which makes her very rare. I highly recommend Andrea for anyone that needs acupuncture.! While getting acupuncture treatments I also started receiving chiropractic treatments with Dr John Maloney for deep tissue massage. I remember when I first started with Dr. John, I was rotating between acupuncture and chiropractic twice a week and when he first touched me, I was in so much pain, but between working with Andrea and Dr. John I have seen improvements. Dr. John is very kind. He is caring, knowledgeable and he listens to his patients concerns. He explains everything he's going to do and I am very fortunate to have found him also. I have never been to a chiropractor before, Dr. John, I highly recommend. Proclinix is a 40 minute drive each way for me to see them, but it's worth it because they are truly the best.! Thank you for all your help. I love you all and again I am so grateful to have found each and every one of you.!! Donna Lyons.

I went in as a non-believer, but oh my goodness! Was I ever wrong! Jessie and Stephanie were vital in helping me get my range of motion better! There was a time when I couldn't reach back with my left arm to put on my seatbelt without almost crying in pain. I had trouble in the shower washing my back. I had trouble putting on my winter coat. I had trouble getting dressed by myself, and would have to recruit my husband or daughter in order for me to get my clothes on without yelping in pain. AON has given me the use of my arm back! Once again, I was a non-believer - now I would encourage anyone to get there ASAP if they need Physical Therapy. It helped to change my life for the better! Thank you to Jessie, Stephanie and the rest of the staff for their expertise!

The only downside is that they do not participate in any insurance plan, however, they will submit all the paperwork in a very timely fashion. In actuality I prefer coming here and getting much better care than going to an in-provider that would not have the same level of excellence. All in all this is a great place and I highly recommend it. PS: I also get great restaurant suggestions, how can you beat that ! ! !

You are welcomed with a warm smile and soft voices. If you are lucky enough, Sage will even come over to greet you (yes, there is even an animal healer available). Now relax on the comfortable sofa, as you listen to the music of soft Native American flute playing in the background. Smell the essential oil aroma wafting through the air. Have a cup of tea. BREATHE. When you are finally delivered to your room, it will be clean and comfortable and you will be treated with the utmost of compassion and care.  As your treatment begins, you will be listened to intently, touched with gentle hands, and may even break down "sobbing in tears" as long held emotional trauma lodged deeply into your tissue is finally released. Notice how this "Intuitive" practitioner  is "breathing through your pain" - to help clear it. Relax.  You will be reminded throughout your session, that this is a "Safe Space " that you may be free to "Let Go" of anything which you are holding onto causing you pain. At times, the release of trigger points can be painful- just breathe into the pain and allow it to FLOW.  At the end of your session, you will be allowed time to relax - enveloped in the luxury of moist heat packs or infrared light therapy. You will NOT be rushed. You are always advised that you may rest longer - if need be.  Here, at Wholistic Physical Therapy- your Healing is truly HONORED.  As a Center of Whole Body Wellness, Scott and his Expert team are FULLY INVESTED in your Healing -  as you have noticed above, Scott uses various tools, appealing to "all of the senses." Gently  rolled  into your protocol will be the importance of diet, movement, mind awareness, breathing and exercises to perform at home. Allow yourself to experience the gifts of each and every practitioner here. There is a great deal to learn from them.  On your way out, check out the "Learning Library." It is important for us to be "pro-active" in our healing. Knowledge is POWER!  In addition, Scott has taken the time to explain in great measure the Magic of "Myofascial Massage" on his website. Make sure you check it out.  At the end of your first session, and for that matter every session thereafter, you will "drift" out of this "Sacred Space" knowing:  THE UNIVERSE has answered my call; HEAVEN has DELIVERED an "EARTH ANGEL"

Scott seems to be a kind and compassionate man, and I had high hopes for my treatment at Wholistic…read more I had to find a new PT since mine of many years no longer took my insurance, and since she was a manual PT and did some myofascial release work, I thought Scott's practice would be a good fit. My first visit was pleasant and reassuring; in the evaluation I explained that I had fibromyalgia and had undergone cervical spine surgery and was very reactive, so caution was needed. On my second visit, Scott spent a lot of time on my neck. Apparently he did something to a cervical disc (two other PTs have since explained to me how this happened). By the time I got home I was in severe pain that only got worse over the next several days. I saw my internist who immediately knew I had a pinched nerve and sent me for an MRI that confirmed a bulging disc and nerve compression. Eight weeks on (and after a ruined, agonizing trip to Europe), I am waiting for a cortisone injection and hoping desperately to avoid surgery. The office called me a while back to see why I hadn't returned and I explained. I haven't received any followup call or apology -- it seems fear of lawsuits rules. I don't even know what to say as a warning; I'm sure the damage was unintentional, but it's done, and it's probably permanent. Just -- be careful, I guess.
