Won't let you cancel your membership. Can't wait for March to cancel it because apparently I'm in a "contract". Do not recommend at all

The facility is extremely clean and has really advanced equipment! They have pneumatic air pressure machines (Keiser system). This system is pretty intense, it uses air pressure as resistance for a variety of exercises. The turf strip in back is great for sled pushes and athletic movements. They also have your traditional lifting equipment, kettlebells, dumb bells, squat rack, etc. Overall this place IS A MUST if you want to become a real, big time athlete!

A significant number of machines have been consistently broken for weeks or months, including an entire line of treadmills to the left of the front desk that I don't think I've ever seen working. Patrons rarely rerack their weights, and staff never does anything to help with that. There's also the issue that this gym is VERY popular with high school boys. They travel in packs, tend to be very loud and disruptive, and will hog machines, with 5 or 6 of them alternating sets on the same machine so that it can take up to 30 minutes just for one group to finish on a machine. I know there's nothing management/owners can do about that, but it's still something to take into account when choosing a gym. The only nice thing to say about this place is that the main gym floor is usually pretty clean. The women's bathroom is hit-or-miss on cleanliness, depending on the day. And if you're looking for a cheap chain gym, there's a Planet Fitness less than a mile away on Euclid Ave, where the quality probably won't be much different but at least PF is dirt-cheap, even compared to Crunch.

Great little gym…read more Everyone has different workout routines and styles, so what you look for in a gym will be different from person to person. Here's the highlights to help you choose. It's a chain, but not a big one like XSport or Lifetime. So, if you want a big chain gym where you can travel and go to any gym this may not be for you. I know they have several locations but mostly in the Chicago Northwest suburbs. It's not very big, but they have a really good selection of machines and equipment. They don't have big locker rooms, hot tubs, pools, or exercise rooms for classes. I don't need any of that, so I'm glad they don't have it. The focus here is on working out. Even though the big gyms are probably double or triple the size of Fitness 19, they always seem so packed and you have to wait for the machine you want. Fitness 19 is good because you don't bump into people or have to wait a long time to get on the machine you want. With that said, I'll say this isn't a muscle head gym either. I used to work out at XSport, and there were always muscle heads that obviously took something to enhance their muscle growth. Good atmosphere. Everyone seems to be in a decent mood. Perhaps since it's a small gym there are a lot of people living around the area that go here. A lot of people seem to know each other and have a good time. Lastly, it's pretty reasonable for price. I believe I got started with a deal that was either $11 or $12 per month, but I paid for my year in full / advance, and got a further discount. You really can't beat the price and quality of this gym.

Over the pandemic, I had noticed random hives. I say, random, because I wasn't sure of the trigger. After a clear bill of health from my primary care physician and a bandaid fix of steroid creams from the dermatologist, I was determined to find the root cause and fix it. This is where Daniel and TBD came into the picture. With blood, stool, and urine tests that were easy to do at home (I'm in LA by the way), it was determined I had leaky gut, possible SIBO, and a body full of mycotoxins. I immediately jumped into the protocol Daniel prescribed which consisted of eliminating foods my body is extremely sensitive to and foods that have a potential for high mold/mycotoxin content. I'm halfway through my 3rd month of elimination and 2 months in to the supplement protocol to heal my gut and eliminate mycotoxins. I'm slowly healing and have experienced my eczema flare ups reduce and have noticed a decrease in the 'random hives'. I also hadn't realized I was pretty much bloated all the time prior to making these changes and just didn't know until I started this protocol. You start to just accept the uncomfortable until you know you can actually FEEL better. I'm looking forward to continuing the elimination diet and the supplement protocol.

If you are wondering why you should choose Marcos over the other trainers out there here are a few reasons: 1) He is incredibly versatile in his knowledge. He's not just a personal trainer but a life and wellness coach. He can help with nutrition, health, fitness, lifestyle -- he does it all. He will develop a program for you that address all aspects of your life to get you into peak condition. 2) His style is very partnership oriented. He finds out what you need, what your strengths and weaknesses are, and what style of training you like. He'll push you hard, but do so in a way that feels encouraging and positive, rather than the drill sergeant type personality. 3) Marcos is truly passionate about his work. This isn't just a job for him but a true passion. Since I've known him he's gone back to school countless times and obtained more certifications to continue to grow his knowledge and develop his skills. When I came to Marcos I had a lot of joint pain and was hardly able to workout at all. Now I'm pain free and able to do tough workouts. He's truly changed my life and he will do so for you as well!
