Decent gym, even when it's crowed you can get your work done. Just wish they had more options.

The cancellation policy images it extra difficult with hoops and fees even when you are just paying month to month.

I had to change gyms during this COVID-19 thing as my old gym was closed down as well as many…read moreothers. This gym was much closer to my house and also was one of the ones that were able to open the quickest as they jumped on the guidelines as to how the gym should be safely run. This lace caught my eye as you can only do so much home video workouts from the previous gym. I went there and was given a tour of the facility and I liked everything I saw. Social Distancing: During my tour I was shown all of the equipment and also noticed that every other piece of equipment was marked with a sign. Basically that sign was telling you that you couldn't use it. Which on the treadmills, the bikes, and all others, space was in between every piece of equipment. Health Bar: There is also a bar in the establishment where you can get pre or post workout smoothies. Pretty much what you desire they have as well as a refrigerator/cooler with water, protein drinks or other juices you may need for a price. As far as I know, there is no cash accepted. Equipment: The equipment is very up to date with televisions on treadmills as well as some other equipment. There is nothing old in this establishment. Child Care: They did have child care in this establishment but as of now it had to be shut down due to the COVID situation. This gym during normal circumstances pretty much has everything you would need. Conclusion: People always say that you get what you pay for. As this used to be a 24 hour gym, that time also had to be scaled back. However you're allotted plenty of time to do what you need to do here as well as the time you need to do it.

I'm honestly disappointed and frustrated with my experience here. I found out our family insurance…read moreplan offers a Gold's Gym discount, so I tried to apply it to my membership when signing up. My wife is the primary policyholder and submitted the required form with my date of birth, phone number, and all the ID numbers. However, Gold's Gym staff kept insisting my name had to appear on the submitted form--even though the form is generated by an automated email system that only shows the primary policyholder's name no matter what you do. I also had my insurance card (showing both our names) and my ID available, but that still wasn't enough. To add to the frustration, when I tried to talk to someone higher up--like the owner or a manager--to get some common-sense resolution, I got absolutely no help. It was like talking to a brick wall. And to top it all off, they don't even offer a veteran's discount, which I find unbelievable in this day and age. I'm only going to this gym because of the insurance rate, but the sheer lack of common sense and customer service has left me really disappointed. I hope they can improve how they handle straightforward situations like this, because it really shouldn't be this hard. They get two stars just because the equipment is kept up.

I was expecting Lifetime lap pool but it is the smallest pool with people standing around talking/lounging. I haven't trained with her a day in my life nor had a long conversation, however, since the beginning-she has always had a contagious smile and energy about herself that makes you love her and want to know who she is! The amenities are great, and I've really enjoyed the variety of classes offered. I haven't tried all of the classes, but my favorites have been BodyPump, yoga/yogalates, Spin, and especially Burn on the Turf with Deeno. His class had an incredible energy--it was challenging, high-energy, unique and he was always encouraging, motivating and would brighten up everyone's day with his vibrant spirit. It was genuinely one of the classes I looked forward to attending regularly. That said, there are a few things that have been disappointing. First, the parking situation can be ridiculous, especially during busy times. I've honestly started wondering if some of the dirt/grass areas could potentially be utilized as overflow parking. Second, I don't understand why they won't change the water filters or consistently have towels available for use. I also recently signed up for one of the personal training promotions. Unfortunately, my trainer was late or canceled on a couple occasions and seemed to have forgotten about my last two 30-minute training sessions. That was disappointing, especially after paying for the package. However, I will say that trainer is very knowledgeable with his gift. I respect him- but not the fact I didn't receive what I paid for. Should be, but it's not a huge deal. Let's just say I won't be paying for more packages in the future. Another thing I've noticed from a member's perspective is what appears to be a noticeable difference in how certain employees are treated. Management may not realize how much customers can see from the outside looking in. Some employees seem to receive significantly more recognition, opportunities, and visibility than others--whether that's consistently being featured on social media or being allowed to host classes that aren't even listed on the app for all paying members. It creates the impression that some employees are valued much more than others, and that's difficult to overlook. As a leader at my own place of work- who leads with humility, these things are very important to me. There isn't one employee who would be able to tell you they are not seen, heard nor valued. Lastly, I was extremely disappointed to hear that Deeno is no longer with OneLife. I don't know what happened, and I don't want to speculate about the circumstances. However, I will say that as a member, it was obvious how much people valued him and his classes. His Bootcamp had a following and brought a level of energy and community that was special. It's genuinely disappointing to lose an instructor who made members excited to show up and work hard. Overall, I still think OneLife is a pretty decent gym with a lot to offer, and I'll continue going for the time being. I just hope management takes some of these concerns into consideration, especially when it comes to recognizing the employees and instructors who make such a positive impact on the members. Thanks, OneLife
