This is the first time I've used a home cleaning service. I booked a deep cleaning and two follow…read moreup appointments. I thought the value for the deep cleaning was time efficient and they did alright work. Sometimes you just need a clean slate, and they definitely got things into a good state. Edit: Actually - I had someone do a deep clean one time before, like several years ago. That's beside the point. That's where the praise stops, though. Unfortunately, the toilette was clogged after the cleaning. After the second cleaning, the bathroom in my other toilette was clogged. I felt kind of rude asking about the first so I decided to refrain asking about the second. We use a bidet and no one is stuffing loads of toilette paper down the drain. Plus, during the first incident no one had used the toilette in that bathroom. I am nearly positive they put paper or chemicals in the toilette. The follow up cleaning jobs were really just supposed to be maintenance (floor mopping, wiping down bathroom surfaces). Both instances my entire house was reorganized more or less. All of my recycling and compost were dumped in the garbage. It is absolute chaos. I lost of prescription medication planner for a week (it was sitting in plain site and later found wedged behind a coffee maker). Both times dirty gloves and rags were draped over clean knifes in my kitchen. Both times I've had to thoroughly wash the knifes and knife block. The dishwasher was filled with additional dishes (packed over the full capacity) and just left in place. No idea what was actually clean. The sink itself was emptied of dishes queued to be washed, but not actually cleaned? It made no sense. I figured they would be moving things out of the way if you need to wipe down a surface, or pushing things to the side. However it went further than that. I still can't find my most frequently used cutting board. I am sure it will appear in some random cupboard. I am fully capable of cleaning my own home, and to a higher standard of quality. The entire point is that I'm only one person with limited time to do so. I suppose I'll just need to make that time more of a priority. Of course things are cleaner, but over 2.5 or so hours with two people I just expected things to be more thorough. Not a huge deal at fave value but this is all sort of compounding to be frank. In short, weird as hell experience, confused by the results. Don't recommend.

My friend's boxer started having accidents in his sleep and it just so happened that his favorite place to sleep is on my couch. However, Amy from JP Upholstery replied right away and was efficient, professional and understanding. I was hesitant because the price was higher than I expected but being the neat freak that I am, the idea of the urine setting into the couch was giving me nightmares. Long story short, I confirmed with Amy for the next day to have Joe stop by. He was on time, professional, and efficient. Within 1.5 hrs the couch was drying and although he made no guarantees that the couch would be restored to its formal glory, it dried beautifully and the stains disappeared. Highly recommend!

I also used to find cleaning enjoyable and even therapeutic. Well, then I found a career I LOVE that just so happened to require 60-80/hr weeks, and learned what a misery it is to have the choice between living in a constantly dirty house, or spending the little free time I did have constantly catching up on cleaning. Not sure which is worse. I did that for about a year and change before finally realizing whatever money it cost was WELL worth the QUALITY OF LIFE hiring someone would give me. After my first time, what a confirmation. I shopped around quite a bit, found companies with sketchy arguments online between owner and customers, found companies that were eco-friendly but refused to do certain (basic?) tasks because of this- I love the idea of being green, but what's the point of paying someone if you still have to do half of it yourself?... and even found apps that seemed convenient but required crazy contracts. I knew of several independent cleaners that friends and family used, but didn't want to have that personal attachment that sometimes can be a burden to do business with (feeling bad if you have to cancel, feeling bad for getting annoyed if they cancel, feeling bad about complaints etc). I knew MaidPro by name, didn't think much of it, but when I visited the website and saw their EXTENSIVE checklist they complete every visit, I knew that's what I wanted- Peace of mind that everything is done. I mean, that's the whole point right? Pricing is also very reasonable, and the ease of service (don't have to be home if you don't want to, and so many convenient options for payment) plus no contract required made the deal even better. The service itself- the bottom line of course- was immaculate. George came to my home- sorry I'd didn't get to meet him, I would have hugged him! My house hadn't had a deep cleaning in over a year, and truth be told (the shame!) hadn't had even a regular cleaning in months, except basics like dishes, laundry, toilet, sinks, and wiping the counter. I almost cried when I walked in to a sparkling house down to every detail. Since it had been so long, I also requested the blinds to be cleaned, the fridge, and inside the stove- I still can't believe they're all clean. Even though I skimmed their checklist, I must have missed a few, because what a happy shock to see my bed made like a hotel, and even the coffee cup and spoon I left in the sink that morning had been washed. George left us a nice note, a completed checklist, and -at long last- a beautiful house to come home to. And there is not many greater, lovely, comfy feelings of contentment than putting your feet up in a clean home. I even got a call the next day from the office to follow up on how my cleaning was (which of course I've been working too much to respond to, lol, but now will). What thorough, caring service from start to finish. So happy I found this company. I will not be looking anywhere else, and even though they don't require a contract, they have my loyalty.
