Had to go down to Broward Health Orthopedics to fill out a records request. Gina, the young lady at…read morethe 2nd floor office reception desk, was an enormous help. I regrettably had to pester her a number of times because I didn't have all the information I needed to complete the forms. She, very charitably, took the time to look up the information online since I don't have a smart phone. Then once I started filling out the form and realized I needed additional information on the offices I was having the records sent to, she very patiently looked that up too. Online. She was very personable, friendly and falls under the heading of going "above and beyond" to help. Give her a raise guys! She's worth it. :-) And a nod to the young lady at the ground floor "information" desk inside the entrance also... another very pleasant, helpful young lady! Hmm, now that I think about it, give the person who does the hiring a raise too! Because whoever that is seems to have a talent for placing quality people.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional from start to finish. The process was smooth, and I received my results very quickly, which I truly appreciated. The facility overall was decent and the visit felt efficient and comfortable. My only concern is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. They were unfortunately very dirty and in need of serious attention. In a healthcare setting, cleanliness especially in restrooms is extremely important. I hope management addresses this because it definitely impacts the overall experience. Other than that issue, the service and staff were wonderful.

Which I love for people who may not be able to pay and still want to get their health checked. I prefer to come first thing in the morning because it's kind of a first come first served type thing. So if you get in line late you could be waiting a while. That said I'm usually in and out. Staff is always pleasant, they know their stuff, and they can answer any questions you may have. They know how to make you feel comfortable while doing their job. That's a skill! The results are delivered via your healthvana account so you don't have to return to the clinic unlike other places. So that's nice. I will say one downside if you're a newcomer is they do not answer the phones. If you have questions your best bet is to just go in because the phones never get answered and I doubt they return phone calls. But, it has been years since I've called so who knows? Maybe that's changed. Anywho it's always spotless here which is a plus. It can get a bit chilly so maybe bring a light jacket. Otherwise great place.

The staff was nice at the front desk and the paper work wasn't that long. I had another person in front of me , so I had to wait a bit in the exam room. The PA ( I'm saying PA cause usually doctors say that they are a doctor when they walk in, if she's a doctor I really do apologize ) asked me what brought me here and actually listened to what I had to say. She told me what she thought was wrong and ordered some X-rays. Additionally, she added an X-ray to see if what I thought happened was going on as well. Got the X-rays done and what she said was the right thing and she took her time out to explain why. Gave me a shot and I was on my way home. Woke up this morning in barely any pain compared to the day before. Thanks to the staff there for proving me wrong and taking good care of me.

I visited the Cooper City location of Gastro Health as a patient of Dr. Adam Lessne. He was…read morerecommended to me by a work colleague and I am very pleased with my experience with him and Gastro Health. Screening for colon cancer is recommended at age 45. If detected early, colon cancer has a 91 percent survival rate. Starting as polyps, colon cancer grows slowly over 10 to 15 years. It often presents with no symptoms in the early stages which is why screening is so critical for early detection. Getting a colonoscopy is something I have been putting off for years. If I knew how easy and painless it actually is, I would have done it much sooner. I was able to see Dr, Lessne for a consultation where he went over my medical history and decided if I was a candidate for the surgery center next door which is South Broward Endoscopy or if I needed to go to the hospital. Fortunately I was given the go ahead for the surgery center which is much more convenient and cheaper, He prescribed me the prep and about a month later I went for the procedure at South Broward Endoscopy. The night before the procedure I took the prep starting at 6 PM and the second half at midnight. I didn't get any sleep but I could have worked the day I started prep. I arrived early in the morning, checked in, and waited a short while before being taken back. Everything was explained to me by the nursing staff in a caring way and I was visited by the anesthesiologist who told me they would be using propanol which I was happy about. The IV was started and I was wheeled back to the procedure room. The last thing I remember was feeling a little fuzzy and then I was waking up less than 30 minutes later. I had no pain and I remember nothing of the procedure. I actually felt great. Dr. Lessne stopped by to tell me everything went as well as it could possibly go, I didn't have any polyps, and see you in 10 years. I got dressed, they gave me crackers and juice, and I was on my way. Even though I felt fine I still had to have someone drive me to and from the procedure. I am so glad that I had my colonoscopy performed by Dr. Lessne. I felt like I was in skilled and caring hands from start to finish. I know some people choose to use Cologuard but the high error rate was not for me. As many as one in ten tests will not detect polyps or cancer. Of other concern was the fact that my insurance only covers a preventive colonoscopy. If I needed to have one for diagnostic purposes I would have had to pay a portion of it. With the colonoscopy scheduled as preventive I could have any cancer causing polyps removed for free. I feel really fortunate that my colon was completely healthy. Dr. Lessne's office and South Broward Endoscopy were great about communicating with me leading up to the procedure and checking in with me after. The few hours out of my life and one night with no sleep was easily worth the peace of mind I now have. I highly recommend Dr. Lessne and the caring staff of South Broward Endoscopy. Thank you for the positive experience.

This was a total lack of communication, professionalism, and consideration for the patient's time and effort. Completely unacceptable!
