He rips into her telling her she needs to take better care of her jewelry (mind you, the basket fell out while she was typing at her desk). She's crying her eyes out at this point. I try to talk to him to smooth things over - he rips into me saying "he doesn't need this". He does agree to repair it. He doesn't even come out to talk to us about it though. Basically tries to hide from us. Real professional. Whatever, ring is fixed. Fast forward to a week ago - the basket holding the diamond falls out AGAIN! This time we can't find it and have to file a claim with insurance. Went to another jeweler to get an appraisal. He looks at it and says the craftsmanship is poor - only two welds were done, at the bottom, when there should have been at least 4. Then he says what's even worse is he used WHITE GOLD to do the weld - basket and the ring itself are PLATINUM. The other jeweler said he would never ever use white gold to weld platinum to platinum and has no idea why Zoltan chose that. That's a huge reason the basket broke off. Do not use this guy and I urge anyone that has jewelry from Zoltan David to take it to another jeweler and get the ring welded properly. He cuts corners, is a complete jerk, and expensive to boot.

Yesterday was my daughters 9th birthday. We had a day of shopping planned but she woke up not…read morefeeling well. It was such a bummer to stay home all day. She started to turn a corner that evening so I decided to run her to her favorite store, Claire's, to get something special for her birthday. I didn't realize the store closed at 7pm! We were literally running to try and make it. I called the store and spoke to Roxanne who said if we got there at 7, she would let us shop for a few minutes. Sure enough, we walked in right at 7. Roxanne was so sweet in trying to make my daughter feel special! She had turned off the music but offered to turn it back on so we could have a "shopping experience". My girl found some cute earrings and not only were they all on sale, but Roxanne also gave her a birthday discount! She was thrilled to get so many earrings and still have money leftover. A Huge thank you to Roxanne for not only letting us shop, but taking your time to let my daughter feel special. I have worked retail and know it can be annoying to have customers when you're ready to close up! We didn't feel that for a second.

I used to collect James Avery years ago but I no longer do that maybe I just got disinterested. But nevertheless I'm on a hunt today to see if I can recover a necklace or a similar necklace that my niece lost. A very nice lady helped me go through some necklaces and I asked her some of the prices links etc. So I did see one that I really liked that I think she would enjoy so we will be returning to see if there's any others she may like better. It is a little pricey well what do you expect for real gold. I made the phone call first before I came by and it rolled over to an answering machine. So I decided to head over since I'm in this area all the time. I was very glad of the information I have gotten so I can make sure this is the necklace we will buy. James Avery is an amazing Craftsman when it comes to jewelry. I have quite a few pieces from this particular store. So we will decide which necklace we'd like online and then we will go in person and purchase what we really want. She sized my finger and gave me two different sized rings to try on, sometimes the ring fits a little differently than the sizer. And in my case that is what happened. The sizer said 7.5, but the ring was actual a 7 and fit perfectly. I did look around the store to make sure the ring I wanted really was what I wanted. And I'm really in love with the ring I got. Welcome to my new addiction.
