I have no idea how this doctor stays in business. I was referred to him by my primary care doctor and called the same day to schedule an appointment. The receptionist took all my information, including my insurance details, and told me someone would call in a few days to schedule. A week passed with no call, so I followed up. This time, I reached an answering service - even though it was during business hours. They took my information again and assured me the office would call me back. That never happened. I called a third time and, once again, got the answering service. Same routine - took my information, promised a callback. Still nothing. On my fourth attempt, I was again connected to the answering service. This time, the person said they would transfer me directly to the office, only for my call to go straight to voicemail. I left yet another message and, unsurprisingly, never heard back. It has now been nine weeks since my first attempt to schedule an appointment, and I have yet to receive a single call back. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Safe to say, I won't be seeing this doctor. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE. He talks to my other doctors on Friday and asks me to come in on Monday so he can explain everything and the plan they agreed on. When I get there on Monday, he says "Why are you here again?" When I remind him that he was supposed to tell me about his discussion and plan with the other doctors he says, he says "Oh I don't know what to do" and those exact words is all I can get out of him despite asking over and over what they talked about. When I find out about the tests he was supposed to have ordered, I do get a call back (surprisingly since my previous 10+ calls went unanswered), but he says "I have no idea about tests or a plan with your other doctors and if they want tests they will have to order them". But HE is the pulmonologist not them, they can't order them, HE has to order pulmonology tests. And the fact that he can't even tell me about his discussion with the other doctors or that there even was any plan! Sheesh, it should at least be in his notes. He doesn't even deserve 1 star. NEVER go to him, get another referral. read more

Avoid at all costs! The office staff doesn't answer or return phone calls. I have been lied to several times and given false information. Doctors and their staff should try and help people!They should be shut down. read more

I had Dr. Sahai back in 2017 and to be honest he was overwhelmed then but in 2022 he is absolutely horrible. His office staff is absolutely rude, uncaring, and not helpful. They don't return phone calls or follow up with patients. I have sleep apnea and I have to get a referral to get new supplies, well his office did a poor job and the insurance company denied the supplies which are desperately needed. So I called his office and got no answer then I call the insurance company and with me on the phone they got no answer and this was 10am and as of the review I still haven't heard from them and I still don't have current supplies and they need to be changed every six months well I'm going on 13 months with the same equipment. Avoid this office if you are referred to them. Unfortunately with doctors like this that is why I have to seek treatment elsewhere down the hill because the doctors in the Victorville/Apple Valley area are absolutely abysmal. UPDATE: I went to another medical group down the hill and I have so far gotten the necessary supplies needed for my CPAP machine, but when I switched I received an email from some website and at first I thought it was spam so I deleted it then I got a call from Dr. Sahai's office asking if I got the email and if I was coming in. I told them I haven't heard back from your office in almost three months and when myself and the insurance company called you folks you never answered and the lady on the phone stated rudely "so you're not coming in?" I told her I how could I come in when I never made a follow up appointment to start with? So this office staff is incredibly rude and that reflects on the doctor maybe he should get a new office manager and clean house. One of the worst offices I've been to. Unprofessional/rude staff and I patients have to follow up. When I call the office, they rarely answer. Did a sleep study early in 2021, still waiting for them to remedy the issue. Go down the hill if you wish to have good providers. read more

Dr. Anurag Sahai is by far the best Pulmonologist in the industry! He shows a professional concern in the matters of his patients; he is prompt in delivering skilled medical advice and care to those who seek him. Dr. Sahai's staff are very accommodating and proficiently trained to meet all the needs of patients under his watchful care. If you as a patient are in need of assistance with any health care issues that fall within the parameters of Dr. Sahai's expertise, don't waste your time with other physicians, seek him first if you want the best provision of care possible; you will be glad you did! read more

Waited 2 months for my appt. Waited over 2 hours in waiting room. Saw doctor a grand total of 3 minutes. Was told it would be a couple of weeks for my insurance auth. for a sleep study. It's been 6 weeks and nothing. Called my insurance and they haven't received any request from this doctor. Called last week to talk to girl who is supposed to get the insurance authorization and she was in their Barstow office but I would get a call back. No phone call. Called today(Wednesday) and she wasn't in. Told I will get a phone call back. We'll see. Huge regret visiting this office! Absolutely ridiculous! Go elsewhere if you'd like to be taken care of in a timely manner. 3 1/2 months has gone by and I STILL need to do the sleep study. I can't imagine how much longer this is going to take! read more

STAY AWAY. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS JUST REVENUE ( ie.. he bought the medical building so has to keep waiting room full all day, a minimum or 1.5 - 2 hour wait after appointment time). I had to FIRE HIM. he was Assigned to me as primary when i was in St Marys Hospital. His office never answers the phone, does not follow up with pharmacy for refills, i ran out 3 times and had to have my insurance company step in 2 times to make his office to fax my Rx, then he is never available to schedule a appointment. I waited 2 months for the only day i am a available for a ' first patient in" on a Monday, i went in and they have me for thursday which i am never available, now another 2 month wait. So do not use him. He is forgetful and his staff are not organized. read more

Was referred to this Doctor. Called the office. No appt available for almost two months. Faxed in my forms twice. Was told I would receive a call to confirm my tentative appt. never received a call. Called a week later went to voicemail. Never received a return call. Called again approx two weeks later and went straight to voicemail. I don't understand how patients get through to this office but if this is any indication of how much care you will get I think it's best for me to look elsewhere. Any referrals out there?? Zero stars Update on 11/16. I am still waiting for my Cpap machine. My appt was 7/18/16. After multiple calls and many excuses and no return call from the doctor himself still no cpap machine. Everyone e is telling me they got theirs the same day. I am so disappointed with doctors in the HD. They have no business being doctors. They are all the same. Never before have I had a doctor treat a family member with such disrespect, insensitivity, and rudeness. Doctor SAHAI (and I use the term "doctor" loosely) is gravely lacking in beside manner and professionalism. My Aunt has been diagnosed with Stage IV liver cancer. She is in great pain and experiences frequent vomiting. Her cancer has metastasized to her lymph nodes, in addition to a localized spot on her lung. The spot on her lung was what instigated a visit with SAHAI. When my Aunt met with SAHAI he appeared hurried, impatient, and annoyed that he hadn't received a referral. His office did, in fact, receive a referral, and my Aunt had a hard copy in her possession. However, SAHAI waved the paper off, as he waved off my Aunt and Grandmother when they tried to ask a question. He scheduled several subsequent visitations, all of which will happen weeks from the time of my Aunt's initial visit; an unacceptable timeframe for any cancer patient. Some individuals have the academic background to qualify for a medical position, but not all educated individuals should be in the medical field. SAHAI fails on all levels. Whether he possesses the expertise to practice as a respected pulmonologist will remain unseen. No one in my family intends to ever be a patient of SAHAI, and I strongly recommend future readers of this review avoid this man as well. One star is far to generous. I feel a review of -4 is sufficient, based solely on his academic achievement. read more

If we could give this doctors office zero stars we would. The insurance company and pharmacy have been trying to get a hold of them for 2 weeks and we have been for a month. Impossible to get a person on the line and endless prompts on the recording. The office staff is completely out to lunch and they have an I don't care attitude. I came here two weeks ago for breathing problems. And schedule a breathing test the same day for two weeks later. My doctor never got the referral cause they sent it two day's before my appt day . The girl doing the referrals is very unorganized. I don't recommend if you're trying to get fast treatment about the problems your having. read more

Went to see this Md with my family member today. He had zero bedside manner. Same as everyone else said before. You wait 1-2hrs and he rushes you, you are lucky to get 3 min. I had to stop him before he ran out just to ask a few questions.... and he didn't like that at all. NO human kindness.... it's sad really. I'm a RN and know how MDs should present themselves. And he was a total disappointment. Some people shouldn't be in the medical profession.. all we wanted today was a few answers.... what we got.... nothing, total wast of time. Please if you need a pulmonologist go to someone else.... anyone would be better. I can only hope he reads this and changes his ways.... slow Down and listen to your patients... they wait a long to to see you. You may have to tell people the same thing day in and day out.... but to the person you are talking to it's new to them, and if they are in your office most likely it's not going to be good news. Try to be kind..... remember why you are a MD... hopefully it's not for the money. Because it sure felt like that today. read more

Worst experience I had in my life with clinics. After the approval of the referral had to wait a week to make an appt. finally, when the appt was scheduled, drove an hour and 30 minutes to get the sleep study done. For my surprise I wasn't scheduled for any day. Just don't understand how tey call you to schedule an appt but, when everything is set they don't schedule it. Wasted Time and gas for nothing.
