I was taken in on time. All told, I was there a total of 1 hour, including the taking of X-rays and a procedure on my knee! Dr. Burris renders excellent care and takes the time to get to know you and engage in friendly conversation. In a time when one often expects lengthy delays, especially when visiting a specialist, Pinnacle Orthopaedics is a breath of fresh air.

She called me sweetie and within 2 minutes felt like it was her job to give me her "shpeal" as she put it about bring my CT scan and that I needed to do that and not always does their system work or can they log into Wellstar. I was trying to explain to her that it was an old CT scan and then she stated "Well then we don't need that and it doesn't matter" after cracking her knuckles and berating me. She was snappy and rude. My husband even was shocked at how she was speaking to me. I told her I would speak to my Dr about these matters at which time she just looked at me like I was being rude. She didn't realize at all that I have been in the medical field for 30 plus years and would never speak to a patient this way. She continued to talk to me like she was my Dr! at which time I again said, I will speak to my Dr about these things. Then she kind of laughed and walked out of the room with a huff. I did mention this to my very wonderful Dr. who was very professional and listened. I will stay a patient. Even when checking me out the MA came in, rolled her tongue over her teeth, cracked her neck with a head roll, and proceeded to ask me (thank God) yes or no questions about getting an MRI. Thank God I'm very well versed in all of this procedure so it was short. She really needs a class on speaking to patients that are in pain and new to the facility. And, she is NOT a Dr. she has no right to be acting this way at all as a medical assistant

She understood exactly what I needed and created a plan for me, to try alternative solutions. This took over a year. Anytime I went in for my appointment, I was always sure that I was in good hands because she is very thorough, understanding and knows what she's doing. Over one year later, I now walk without crutches and without pain, and without ever having surgery. A combination of process and procedures went into my healing and Dr Sylvia was one of them. The reason I took out one star was because of her rude receptionist whom I am hoping no longer works there because she ruins the expectation which greatly contrasts the amazing consultation you get from Dr Sylvia. He diagnosed my sprained hamstring and set me on the road to recovery, allaying my fears. I've never had a problem scheduling appointments. On Sunday, concerned about my black, blue and purple bruise, I went on line to make an appointment. Whatever I entered didn't jive, and a pop up appeared saying someone from the office would get back to me. "Yeah, right," I thought, assuming I'd just call myself, during regular business hours. To my delight mid-afternoon Sunday I did receive a return call and the operator was able to get me in, first thing Monday.

I went in needing real help -- a torn ligament in my hand and PT for a ruptured Achilles -- and left feeling unheard, rushed, and without progress. Dr. Jonas' nurse was amazing, but the actual treatment did nothing for my thumb. A cast and an overpriced brace gave me no improvement in movement or sensation. Over three visits, I spent barely 15 minutes with the doctor, and each time I was brushed off. My last visit ended with him rushing me out the door without even referring me to PT to regain use of my thumb. I paid premium prices for zero results. The Achilles PT wasn't any better. I paid for an hour but usually got 30 minutes of exercises I could've done at home with their app. No real support. No real recovery. Every patient deserves quality care -- and that's not what I received here.

He took his time taking measures of the hand that needed surgery. Dr. Starr made us feel comfortable about the upcoming operation. All staff members were welcoming and friendly. During the follow-up visit after the surgery Rachel was helpful and explained to us how to exercise my husband's hand to help the healing process. We can highly recommend this facility. Went to see Dr Grasso. He was dismissive and didn't even ask to continue my care. Wanted to send me for a new MRI. OK. I tried to get the MRI scheduled. My insurance said his office needed to send more information for approval. I had to call them at least 4x to get them to get this setup. Guess what? Still no MRI and I'm still without treatment and in pain. These people could care less. STAY AWAY.
