This is one florist I have not used. I do drive by here, but it feels a bit non-descript. Well, five days later, her flowers were in full bloom and healthy. I decided to order the same for my wife. The price, while not inexpensive, certainly seemed reasonable given the price of flowers these days. When I picked them up, I was most impressed. And they had their intended impression. My wife was wowed. The owner was personable, answered my questions, and even engaged my queries as to the Camel cigarette flowers he did. I will continue to use Martine's.

After we first ordered the flowers, I had to leave and collect my thoughts because I was already regretting my decision due to the interesting smell in the shop. The aroma was definitely not flowers. These flowers were for my mother-in-law's funeral and when we went to the funeral home the day before to check everything, the flowers looked like absolute crap. They were skimpy, and didn't even match what we ordered. My husband politely called to address the issues and to see how we could fix this. The flowers that my family ordered came to over $600. They were not cheap!! When my husband called to ask the owner to rectify the discrepancies, the owner told us "I wish you got your flowers somewhere else". Then he hung up. The lack of empathy and professionalism is disgusting, especially after my mother in law got her flowers from this shop for over 40 years. We were only asking for what we paid for. This behavior was completely unacceptable. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future. Do better. In this situation, I should have heeded my first impression of him and the shop. This time they didn't follow his request AT ALL. He wanted a tall and FULL arrangement. But the flowers were stuffed in the vase so tightly without extra greenery or even any baby's breath that there are some flowers hidden under others and can't even be seen. He had to count them to be sure there were in fact 3 dozen flowers in this vase. Since it's known some places are short staffed right now, to ensure he finally got what he wanted he ordered and paid for these flowers TWO full weeks prior to Valentine's Day, and still the arrangement looks like three grocery store bouquets were haphazardly shoved into a vase at the last minute with a ribbon stuck in it.
