    3 item combo.

Took my mom to the stores around Herndon and Willow, we worked up an appetite and settled for Mexican. Wasn't sure what to expect. We ordered at the counter and then chose a table to sit at. They then brought out complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is amazing here! I can rarely eat the table salsa because I'm sensitive to spice but this one was super mild and so flavorful! Hot, fresh chips to boot. I was satisfied with just that. The meals soon came out and my very picky mother was impressed, she said if the beans and rice are good then they know what they're doing. She enjoyed that and her taco/burrito combo. My fajita bowl was HUGE. Big portions of protein and good flavor- not too salty or greasy. Service was good as well. No complaints, would definitely stop by again!

This updated review is unfortunate. I've gotten family trays from here four or five times in the past few months, and they've been good...until now. I got home with a tray of tacos and found that the tortillas were so tough and stale that they were impossible to bite through. I tried crisping one up in the oven, and that didn't help. They were so bad that, if this were the first time getting them, I'd never return. There were no salsas for the tacos this time either. It'll be a while before I return.

Very nice Mexican restaurant with outdoor seating. Our food was delicious, the enchiladas were a hit. And their salsa is just perfect, not too spicy, not too mild. Only giving them 4 stars as one of our forks was dirty. But our waitress was very kind and got us a new one right away!!

I liked the low-key atmosphere of the restaurant. I patronize the full-service Antonio's Restaurant in River Park and like it. The food at the Mex-Express is also good. Some things are different. You grab your own drinks and refills. You purchase chips and salsa separately. But that's ok. You are not expected to tip. And the food seems to be a little less expensive. The staff is very friendly. They hustled to deliver the food and then clean up the tables. I ordered a chile relleno. The egg mixture was well-done. There was lots of cheese. I loved the green sauce. But the chile was very small. But still very good. As I had never had a sope, I ordered one. It looked pretty. And the toppings were tasty. But the bottom was like 3 corn tortillas fried together in a very hard, teeth-cleaning pack. Not good at all. I would not order one there again. It's a great place to bring families. More affordable than most restaurants. More enjoyable than fast foods that seem to be sooooooo expensive these days. I would return for another chile relleno.

Place was great! Went to try them out for a late lunch/ early dinner! Got the chile verde burrito and a combination plate!! Salsa had a little too much cumin but otherwise was ok. The chile verde burrito was humongous and very good! The combination plate had relleno with verde sauce, carnitas taco, cheese enchilada and came with rice and beans. Everything was great but the rice could use a bit more flavor but otherwise still good. Great place, friendly service and huge portions! Definitely recommend.

Pretty surprised by this little place! It's an order-then sit kind of place and it's got some traditional Mexican dishes and the typical Mexican American combo plates too. Which honestly was exactly what I have been wanting so I had to go that route. What blew me away was the service, there was a gal at the register that was just the most genuinely kind server I have had in a while. She took our orders and ran our food out when we it was ready...and it seemed like she was doing that for everyone! Even when it got super busy and there was a line to the door that scared off a couple customers! She was still doing her thing with a kind attitude and a smile on her face. She did get some help when the line got super busy, and even they were providing great service at a busy time. As for the food, it's pretty typical California Mexican American food. Like, it's not super traditional, but it's quick Mexican and it does a good job at being that! I LOVED my enchilada, it reminded me of a restaurant I used to go to when I was younger, and the same with the rice and beans. My goddaughter got a heaping bowl of menudo, which she said was "spicy" but I didn't think it was. They serve with tortillas, lemons, and a container with cilantro and onion. My cousin got a side order of the Chile relleno and that was a pretty large side order. All the food was hot and came out pretty quick. All of that with a drink was $40. Not bad at all! Now that I know it's here, I may be back, because I did enjoy the enchilada. Especially since the service is the best service I've had in a long time. Keep it up Antonio's!

I was visiting family, and I must say I was presently surprised. The food was so authentic and good! The carne asada was seasoned so so good, homemade tortillas were so soft, however the burrito didn't fall apart. Next time up in central Cali, definitely will make a stop in.

If you are looking for a quick spot to grab some great Mexican food, then look no further than this place. You go up to the counter to place your order for dine in or take out. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. My husband and I grabbed some dinner here tonight. It has a smaller menu than their full scale restaurant but still has something for everyone. We were at our table no more than about 5 minutes before our order arrived nice and hot! I love their Albondigas. If you have never this soup, you need to! Tender meatballs with a chili tomato based broth with carrots, potatoes and two type of squash. Just add a squeeze of lemon along with s side of either rice or beans and flour or corn tortillas and you are in for treat! So nice on a cold night and just hits the spot! My husband decided to go with the Nacho Grande with grilled chicken. That is a delicious platter of nachos with beans, cheese, tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole and meat of your choice. It's listed under the appetizers but definitely qualifies as a dinner choice. Definitely check them out!

    The dudes carnitas plate
    Angie R.

The dude and I came to Antonio's on 7/28/20 as we were craving Mexican food. The location is kinda hidden inside the plaza however you can clearly see it when driving by Herndon. They have patio seating if you are looking to dine out. Due to the hear there was only one family there. The inside they had all tables pushed to the side and chairs stacked. We didn't have much interaction with staff as we just ordered our food which we got to go. The staff was wearing mask down to the cook. Staff even went around wiping off chairs which patrons I would assume would sit and wait for their to go meals. So they were definitely sanitizing things people would touch often. I ordered the Chile Verde wet burrito which was delicious, juicy and flavorful. I only ate like 5 bites which I was full, I didn't even put a dent in it! I still had a whole burrito so left overs for sure! I loved it! The dude got the carnitas plate. The pork was pretty good with the beans and rice. The pork was very moist. The dude said he is use to the carnitas being dry which I am not a fan of super dry meat unless it's turkey jerky. I thought the food was delicious and yummy. We also got chips and salsa. The chips were delicious and flavorful however the salsa tasted weird so I couldn't stomach it. No complaints will be back.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!

Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

The girl behind the counter greeted us right away, very friendly. We got to sample a couple of their Agua Frescas before making our decisions as well. I got 3 different tacos: Asada, Cabeza, and Tripa (extra crispy). He got all Asada. We weren't huge fans of their Asada. We both agreed it felt/looked/tasted more like ground beef... wasn't cooked how we'd like. Asada was in last place for me. Cabeza was good, came in second. The Tripa was my favorite. Very good. My friend got Lengua and Adobada-- pretty sure she enjoyed hers. For the drink, we agreed on the Cucumber one-- it was very refreshing/yummy. We also sampled the Horchata. It was good but slightly too sweet for me. It's not very big inside but there's still a good amount of tables for guests to sit at. 8-10? More or less. They keep the tables clean... but, there are a lot of flies buzzing around the windows. We had to battle with one very persistent/pesky fly trying to get our food. It's a shame because that definitely docks a point, sorry. Tacos were good, not the best I've ever had though. I know Asada may be a basic meat choice but we've had some damn good Asada... they missed the mark. Also, I hope they find a way to resolve the fly issue. With that said-- I've gotta put them in the middle.
