Clean, friendly and delicious. If this deli were up in north Jersey it could easily become my favorite Italian deli.

Here we were given a small welcome drink immediately upon arrival, which set the mood & expectations for the rest of the night. Our drinks were unique and absolutely fantastic. The manager let us know our table was ready, and carried our drinks over and took our coats. Judy's is bright and beautiful, and I loved the contrast between the two concepts. The menu is brilliant and each dish we ordered was incredible. An absolute MUST order is the latke. Another standout was the lumache seafood pasta, which had the most perfect, light yet creamy sauce. Throughout the night, service was nothing short of perfect. Special shout-out to Emily and Mike for making the night truly special. All of the staff is kind and funny and really make you feel like family. Judy and Harry's hits all the right notes and easily made a spot for itself amongst my highly recommended restaurants.

Etc, etc. A little over a week before, received a call saying they couldn't honor the reservation due to a "booking system oversight" with Resy. They first offered to move my reservation to Friday or Sunday, which didn't fit our schedule. I requested a different time on Saturday night, and was told they were not accepting guests at all that night. Then they offered to move us to a completely different restaurant a few towns away, as in not the beach town we were hoping for. The whole experience was shady, and I don't buy the "booking oversight". It just seems like my reservation was bumped for another party or event. It would've been better to simply be honest. I understand the efforts to still get my money, but if you won't honor the original reservation to begin with, why would I trust you enough to make another one? At the very least, compensation for the disappointing experience would have been nice - drinks on the house, free dessert, anything really. I wanted to go here to try food by the up and coming Chef Viana, but it seems he cares more about being on the Food Network than his actual customers.

The whole experience is a 15 put of 10. The waitress named Bailey is by far great. But wait each waiter added a special touch to the experience as well. Giving a straw to my son to keep him distracted while we ate dessert. The other waitress and waiters smiling as they did roll call for the dinner portion of the night. The authentic Italian food was delicious and plentiful--every dish was a hit with my guests. The atmosphere is chic and modern, with an "urban Italian" feel--think modern Roman trattoria, in the heart of Asbury Park. It created the perfect setting for a beautiful and memorable celebration. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm throughout the entire event. Andrea, the owner, was absolutely wonderful--so gracious, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the day special. She went above and beyond at every step and made the entire experience feel effortless. From planning to execution, everything was handled seamlessly. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves, and my guests are still raving. I've never hosted an event where not a single detail was out of place--everything ran flawlessly from start to finish. Flavia's Cucina Romana is truly a gem, not only for private events but also for dining. I also highly recommend sitting at the kitchen counter to take in the sights, sounds, and aromas as well as to watch Chef Nicole in action. An unforgettable day at an unforgettable restaurant.

You also have the BYOB option however don't you worry if you forget your wine they have a few options on the menu. Our favorite was the Suppli which is like an Arancini with a spicy red sauce. The artichokes had a nice crunch however we weren't a fan of the sauce it came with (Thankfully it was in the side). Our favorite pasta was the Al Tartufo, they don't skimp on the cheese or the truffles! The Zucca e Noci was our least favorite. The brown butter sauce was over powering and the tiny pieces of butternut squash made you feel cheated however the walnuts added a nice texture . Overall the pasta (Gnocchi and Fusilli) was fresh as expected and had a nice bite. We will definetly go back to try other options!

I didn't have an issue getting a reservation as it is winter and it is in a shore town. I arrived early, probably about 4:45 . At first, I was a little taken her back because I stood there waiting while the young lady was on the phone so I was standing in there a while, but once she was done, she led me to a table and from there everything was incredible. Let's start off with the fact that it is so tastefully decorated for the holiday season. I absolutely loved it. It was very clean very classic. Now onto the drinks. The wine menu was amazing. I settled on a glass of Pinot Grigio and then after dinner I tried one of their pistachio martinis, which was absolute heaven in a martini glass. I actually even ordered a second one because I don't know when I will ever get back down here I loved the bread service. It came with not just classic olive oil, but there was whipped ricotta cheese, and there was also some capers and olives, which were absolutely delicious. I started with the house salad. The presentation and the taste were absolutely amazing. I then had the halibut which was out of this world it was cooked perfectly . The flavor was amazing and then for dessert I had their special mini Zeppoli's half filled with Nutella and half filled with cannoli cream. I don't usually eat like this, but I figured I would treat myself for once and I enjoyed every moment of it and I cannot wait for the time when I can go back here

Apps: Bread service (could've been warmed) came with a ricotta type spread, olive tapenade, and garlicky olive oil. All fantastic together! Highly recommend mussels fra diavolo to start - rich tomato broth with perfect level of spice. Took the sauce home with bread to dip! Entrees: Pork chop was MASSIVE and extremely juicy. The peppers and onions on top were so flavorful. Decent potato bacon hash on the side. Paired perfectly with the Pinot noir. The scallops (4 large) were so sweet and fresh. Tasty, rich risotto. Desserts: GIANT tiramisu to share - dense lady fingers (a good thing), could taste the booze. Could've been slightly more room temperature but pretty dang good. I was told the chocolate mousse (I stupidly forgot to taste my friend's) was very good also. Service was exceptional. We took a lot of time here and were the last to leave but never once felt rushed by the staff. Ambience was romantic (could've used some Italian music in background to set the mood rather than classic rock)... I mean The Godfather was playing on tv at the bar! All in all, this place is the perfect spot for a fine dining experience out or special occasion. P.S.They offer $5 valet parking since it's on busy Main Street, but fairly easy to find yourself off season.

The fanciful menu certainly would have provided fodder for my internal monologue, but I was lucky enough to visit Talula's with someone who thoughtfully analyzed the offerings and was unfraid to accept the riskiest dare: the vegan crab cakes. No, you won't be thinking crustaceans, but it was closer to the Yacht Rock Revue's remake of "Baker Street" than the vile Joss Stone cover of "Fell In Love With A Girl." With an unexpectedly strong performances by hearts of palm, it was a reasonable emulation of the paradigm even if it could have been a tiny bit crustier and more Old Bayish. The Yelp consensus gets it wrong with the ricotta toast, which was fine but not essential. I assume the brunchier brand extensions are more notable than the flagship. Don't miss the fermented chili carbonara. I'm not even going to paraphrase the wild list of ingredients: "hand-cut ramen, house fermented fresno chili paste, garlic, ginger, tamari, benton's bacon, sous vide egg, parm, chive." Less shocking but still enjoyable is the Beekeeper's Lament pizza. After the above feast, this dessert agnostic tried to nope out, but the teacup brulee had an impeccable citrus vibe. With other desserts promising fennel ice cream and cardamom cherries, a glance at the menu feels like a Marvel closing credits bit that compels one to anticipate the future.
