Our visit was back in May when our party of 11 stopped in without reservations on a Friday night! Ah! The response was a shock no doubt and we didn't expect to get a seat but thought we would try. After much a-do we were escorted to the basement where there was ample seating. Our party was arranged in a large line. Waitress was friendly and helpful with our many questions.
Drinks arrived in a timely fashion and while we started with our bread we gave our orders. By the time the waitress got to the end she took the last persons order and paused before leaving. She counted the orders and then counted the people and announced she was missing something. Counted again and shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The wine recommended was wonderful. The food arrived in a good amount of time, a little slow but to be expected with a large party up stairs and a large party down stairs. Everyone got the meals they ordered but my mother. Some of us waited for her food, but she told us to go ahead, well almost a quarter way through our meal I headed up stairs to see where my mothers pizza was. Apparently the third to last order was never written. They put the order in right away and in the mean time we all shared our meals with her. By the time the pizza arrived we were almost done with our meals and my mother refused it. The waitress apologized and said they would be happy to comp the pizza
and hold the pizza to keep warm until we left.
We were very happy with the quality of our meals and the quantity. The ambience was OK lots of Marilyn Monroe pictures and being down stairs was convenient to the rest rooms.
Think they did good over all and would return since the staff really are a lovely group of people. read more
