There is a real mix of what you can buy in this shop too, i mean it does not specialise in any one product, you can get jams or glass ornaments or pottery or Aran jumpers (and anything else Aran you can think of!) and any number of things that have leprechauns or Celtic designs printed on the side. One interesting thing about this shop is the old petrol pump outside the door, there is no petrol available in it and there has not been for years but it still stands there looking all lonely on the side of the road. It's just nice to imagine that at some stage in its life it was used and imagine what the cars looked like then! Anyway, hopefully its never removed, its an odd bit of history for Glengarriff.

Their prices are pretty reasonable and the person working there was nice. He was walking around the store and restocking whatever needed to be restocked. He wrapped the snow globe I bought so it was a little more protected in my suitcase which I appreciated. This is a cute place that you can quickly walk through, so I would recommend it if you're looking for decently-priced gifts for loved ones!

After a couple visits to and weeks spent in Ireland, I decided it was one of the better places I came across to buy higher-end, traditional, non-touristy souvenirs and gifts. Many items for sale in the craft shop are made on-site by traditional artisans. Beautiful weaving such as scarves, sweaters, wraps, hats, and gloves in gorgeous colors and soft fabrics. Pottery in the traditional Mucros style with its distinct coloring and markings: platters, creamers, mugs, bowls, candlesticks. Also offered in the Craft Shop are coffee table books, jewelry, children's toys, traditional Irish fare, Irish music...you can find yourself a souvenir to treasure as well as gifts to bring home that are sure to be well-received by loved ones. Prices here are really reasonable, too, all things considered. Naturally, you can visit the Craft Shop without having to pay entry fees to the grounds!

By far the most original and fun gifts we got. Everyone loved em! I think the shop is devided into different artists. We bought from Paula. Her business is called Katie and Me. I act the disgruntled husband when my wife or daughter drags me in here, but the truth is that I love chatting with the friendly staff or just sitting down and watching people shop. We were on a CIE Tour of Scotland and Ireland and the Kissane Sheep Farm was part of our itinerary. It was truly fascinating watching them use the border collies to herd sheep. All of the communication with the dogs was non-verbal and consisted primarily of whistles. The dogs responded to these non-verbal commands and were quite proficient at herding the sheep. After watching the dogs, we then moved inside one of the barns for a demonstration of sheep shearing. One man narrated the demo and explained the process of how the sheep are sheared and when is the best time of year to shear the sheep. The other man did an amazing job of completely shearing a sheep in a matter of minutes - with the coat coming off in 1 large piece. This offered a great look at the local culture.
