The two tacos I ordered, the shredded chicken and the steak, were both bomb! great flavor and were served with grilled onions and a lime. I finished every bite! Also got the nachos with chorizo on them and I loved em! Super tasty and everything was very fresh. The one thing I really didn't like though was the cheese sauce, I was really hoping for a white queso, that's really my only issue. The taste was a little off. My server was super sweet and I would definitely return! Good thing I speak Spanish because the whole menu was in español!

The gentleman who waited on me was attentive, friendly and eager to make me happy. I wanted a grilled shrimp dinner with some rice and salad. Didn't see any grilled shrimp in the seafood section of the menu other than the Shrimp with Rice and Cheese. So I ordered it, asked to have the cheese served on the side and asked if they could make a small salad for me on the side with lettuce, pico and maybe ONE sliced avocado. I told the waiter I would pay extra for it. And I just had water to drink. Got the bill. $23. The dish on the menu is $15. They charged me $8 for some salad, pico and 2 sliced avocados (I asked for 1 avocado). The food came out hot. The shrimps were good. They were grilled nicely but too bad I couldn't really taste them because they were swimming in cheese sauce. They just threw everything in a pile and put 2 sliced avocados on a separate plate. I specifically asked him to put the cheese sauce on the side and to ADD a salad ON THE SiDE. You also get one napkin. It's the one wrapped around your fork. No extra napkins. No hot sauce. No limes or lemons in the water or on the plate. I understand that I was making special requests outside of how the dish is normally prepared. It wasn't how I wanted it but I still enjoyed my meal regardless and I still tipped over 20% because he really did try to make me happy. No fuss made. Would I recommend? Sure! I'm going to go back and try other dishes. They have a beautiful large bar area and they have a special drink menu. There was not a lot of people there when I got there around 4:30pm but by the time I left, nearly every table had been seated.

Since we were in the area, we had to test it and see if it was as good as the San Felipe's down in our area. It was just as good! The chicken ACP at San Felipe is great. The grilled chicken goes great with the cheese and rice. Some San Felipe's have had baked chicken lacking flavor, but theirs is great! They do not give you as much food as other San Felipe's, though. Their lunch chicken ACP is supposed to be a smaller portion than their dinner chicken ACP, but still is smaller than other lunch portions. If you're hungry, go for the dinner option. The taco salad is good n' fresh as well! Service was not world class, but was fair. Our server was friendly, but was not personable. I have been making the…read morerounds and trying my best to check them all out because I love eating Mexican typically once a week but I haven't found one around here that's my absolute favorite and looks like this one is not it either. It was probably the biggest let down so far. I ordered a Big Taco to go and was surprised to see a 2$ upcharge for taking it to go. Don't they know this discourages people from ordering to go? This isn't a new concept to me so not a complete surprise but I was incredibly surprised by the way it was packaged. It was in an aluminum tin with foil partially covering my meal. So by the time it got to its designation it was leaking white liquid out of the bag. Kind of embarrassing to me. So I paid 2$ for subpar packaging? The taco itself was fine but not memorable. What was most telling about my meal was the completely inedible tortilla chips. They tasted like chemicals, which to me is a sign that the deep frier oil is bad (at least I hope that's what is wrong). I had a few other people try a chip and they all confirmed they were gross. No one took a second bite. If the oil is not being changed properly to the point you can taste it, and they don't care about properly packaging food, who knows what other gross things are happening in the their kitchen. I cannot chalk this up to a fluke and therefore will not be taking any chances by trying them again.
