Quesabirria Tacos with Consome! Delicious! Available only on Saturdays & Sundays
Emily R.

Every-time I go, this place is absolutely amazing! I have no complaints ONLY that they change their prices often. (Like once every 3 months) A family a four average pays $15 pp , with food and drinks. I recommend the Quesabirria Tacos which is only available on the weekends & the green chilaquiles (if you like it spicy!) As well as an Horchata or Pina Colada (non alcoholic) to pair. Service is always good & they just recently renovated their little building , fits maybe 40-50 people comfortably. Definitely a place to go for some real good home made meals!

Grilled chicken tacos, shredded chicken tacos, carne asada tacos, Al pastor tacos. Their green sauce is good with it too.

Delicious. Authentic. Good prices and will be back. One of the best Mexican we have had in North Carolina.

Really liked this spot! Cute little authentic restaurant with tables and plays great music. I was in the area because I started a new job around here and was in the mood for some tacos. The two tacos I ordered, the shredded chicken and the steak, were both bomb! great flavor and were served with grilled onions and a lime. I finished every bite! Also got the nachos with chorizo on them and I loved em! Super tasty and everything was very fresh. The one thing I really didn't like though was the cheese sauce, I was really hoping for a white queso, that's really my only issue. The taste was a little off. My server was super sweet and I would definitely return! Good thing I speak Spanish because the whole menu was in español!

Very good authentic Mexican food , really enjoyed the el pastor , carne and pollo chorizo tacos . The taco shells are made in house and dipped in birria dip before they are cooked . Service was friendly and fast

Auténtico, pa que lo sepan! This joint is authentic and representing! The food was bursting with Latin flavors and the menu didn't disappoint. Small and busy on the inside but they do have tables outside too if the weather is nice. We took our food to go because we rented a tiny cabin in the woods nearby that weekend. A must try!

Although not large in size, La Escondidita's food is superb.

My husband had Zapatillas - he couldn't stop sighing over it as he ate.

This was a great place to have lunch after enjoying the zoo. They have a huge selection on the…read moremenu, everything we ordered was delicious, and my husband loved their house hot sauce. He said it had the perfect amount of heat with great flavor. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken burrito and their rice. Their chips were soooo good too! They were super thin and crispy. This place has something for everyone. Our server was a super nice young man. The restaurant is right on a train track and looks like it could have originally been a train station. We discussed this with the server but he wasn't sure. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out and I'm sorry I was too tired and hungry to take pictures of the inside and outside of the restaurant.

I was really looking forward to trying out this local Mexican restaurant. I have been making the…read morerounds and trying my best to check them all out because I love eating Mexican typically once a week but I haven't found one around here that's my absolute favorite and looks like this one is not it either. It was probably the biggest let down so far. I ordered a Big Taco to go and was surprised to see a 2$ upcharge for taking it to go. Don't they know this discourages people from ordering to go? This isn't a new concept to me so not a complete surprise but I was incredibly surprised by the way it was packaged. It was in an aluminum tin with foil partially covering my meal. So by the time it got to its designation it was leaking white liquid out of the bag. Kind of embarrassing to me. So I paid 2$ for subpar packaging? The taco itself was fine but not memorable. What was most telling about my meal was the completely inedible tortilla chips. They tasted like chemicals, which to me is a sign that the deep frier oil is bad (at least I hope that's what is wrong). I had a few other people try a chip and they all confirmed they were gross. No one took a second bite. If the oil is not being changed properly to the point you can taste it, and they don't care about properly packaging food, who knows what other gross things are happening in the their kitchen. I cannot chalk this up to a fluke and therefore will not be taking any chances by trying them again.
